Oregon native Jacquie Roar is a contestant on season 24 of NBC’s The Voice. During the blind auditions of The Voice, she performed her rendition of “Here for the Party” by Gretchen Wilson.

Her performance resulted in a 4-Chair Turn. The performance was so fiery that Roar lost an earring, prompting Coach Reba McEntire to say that she had “heard of dropping the mic but never dropping the earring.”

Gwen Stefani said she has been “adopted into the Oakie world” thanks to her marriage to country star Blake Shelton. “The whole thing is weird, we all know it is,” she said.

“I feel like I’m in this new period in my life where I’ve learned a lot about country music and fell in love with country music in a way I never thought I would,” Stefani said.

Niall Horan also praised Roar, saying she could tackle “anything from Lenny Kravitz to Aerosmith. You’re going to be a showstopper,” he said.

Ultimately, though, it was Leilani, Roar’s daughter, who made the call. Prior to the performance, Leilani said her mom’s voice sounded like Stefani’s, though Roar said they didn’t actually sound that similar. Leilani, though, was a fan of Stefani’s, especially her song “Rich Girl,” and when Roar asked her daughter to come out on stage and help her pick, that’s who the 6-year-old went with – Gwen Stefani.

“I thought I had that!” McEntire said afterward.
