Chicago P.D. Fans Heartbroken Over LaRoyce Hawkins’ Departure

Reportedly, LaRoyce Hawkins is set to depart from ‘Chicago P.D.’ early in its 14th season.

Another well-known cast member is leaving the popular show, Chicago P.D.

According to Deadline, LaRoyce Hawkins will bid farewell to the hit NBC series early in season 14.

Hawkins has played Kevin Atwater on the Dick Wolf series since it premiered in 2014, becoming a fan-favorite character in the process. Unsurprisingly, loyal One Chicago viewers did not take the news of his looming departure well.

“We – all of us who are Atwater fans – are unwell,” one person commented on Instagram, saying that they “knew the day was coming” considering that the character was “absolutely underutilized.”

“I do not know what in the world the folks behind Chicago PD are thinking, but this is a ginormous loss,” they added.

“This is heartbreaking for a lot of us … Will not watch after you wrap!!!” another person chimed in.

“Had a feeling he was leaving Chicago PD,” someone else wrote. “Saw way too many signs of it as of late and it sucks definitely.”

‘Chicago P.D.’ Season 13 set the stage for Atwater’s departure

As several fans observed, Chicago P.D. Season 13 set the stage for Atwater to leave the Windy City. Early in the season, he’d gotten involved with a fellow officer named Tasha Fox (Karen Obilom). She then moved to Miami, leaving Atwater with an invitation to join her in Florida. He waffled on what to do, until Tasha reappeared in Chicago with some big news: She’s pregnant with Atwater’s baby. That situation provides the perfect excuse for Atwater to hand in his resignation and move to Miami to be with Tasha.

With Hawkins leaving the show, Chicago P.D. is on the hunt for his replacement. The show is casting for “a Black cop who is an agent of chaos,” according to Deadline.

Chicago P.D. Season 14 premieres Wednesday, October 7 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on NBC. Episodes stream the next day on Peacock.

Keiko Fujimori Clinches Victory in Peru’s Presidential Runoff Election: A Conservative Triumph

0

In a significant political development, Keiko Fujimori, the daughter of Peru’s former president and a prominent conservative figure, was officially announced as the victor in the country’s recent presidential runoff election on Friday.

At age 51, Fujimori is set to assume the presidency later this month, marking her as Peru’s ninth leader within a decade. This triumph comes after her determined effort in four separate campaigns amidst Peru’s enduring political turmoil.

Fujimori expressed her gratitude to her supporters through a message shared on the platform X, celebrating the election’s conclusion.

“I am deeply thankful for the trust millions of Peruvians have shown me. We now embark on a new chapter, approaching it with responsibility, humility, and a profound sense of service,” she stated. “Every day of this transition offers a chance to listen and engage, preparing us for the new administration’s commencement. We will use these platforms to keep you updated on this phase and the ongoing efforts. I invite you to be part of this journey with us.”

Peru’s top election authority certified the results Friday. Fujimori received 9,223,000 votes, or 50.14% of the total, while nationalist Congressman Roberto Sánchez earned over 9,173,000 votes, or 49.87%, The Associated Press reported.

Fujimori made it to the runoff after defeating 33 other candidates in April.

Her election came amid concerns from voters about surging crime, especially extortion by violent organized crime gangs. Fujimori has pledged to act tough on crime with an “iron fist.”

She is the daughter of the late Alberto Fujimori, the former president whose government in the 1990s defeated the Shining Path extremist rebel group but also took an authoritarian turn.

He was convicted in 2009 of human rights abuses in the fight against the rebels and, later on, corruption charges. His legacy within Peru remains deeply divisive.

On Tuesday, the State Department congratulated the younger Fujimori.

“The Trump administration looks forward to deepening collaboration with the Fujimori administration to advance security cooperation and to strengthen bilateral cooperation on investment and trade in our region,” the statement read.

Tom Brady Makes Early Exit from Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s Wedding Bash

0

Tom Brady was seen making a solitary exit from the wedding celebration of Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift at Madison Square Garden on Friday night. The legendary NFL quarterback slipped out on his own before the clock struck 10pm.

Looking somber in the back seat of a vehicle, the 48-year-old was chauffeured away from the famed New York locale. Although the event was anticipated to keep the Manhattan night alive until 4am on Saturday, Brady chose to depart before the festivities truly energized.

Brady, with a storied career boasting seven Super Bowl victories, recognized as potentially the greatest quarterback where Kelce has thrived, joined nearly 1,000 other attendees invited by the dynamic duo to witness their special day.

It might be that the famously health-oriented Brady felt he had reached his fill of celebrations. Just days prior, he attended Michael Rubin’s annual White Party in The Hamptons, a brief jaunt from New York City.

Alix Earle, who was spotted sharing a close moment with Brady earlier this year, was among the guests Rubin invited. The Fanatics founder had adjusted the date of his celebrated gathering to ensure it didn’t coincide with the much-anticipated wedding.

Brady looked smart in a black suit and tie for the big day, where he would have spent time with many familiar faces across the world of the NFL – all of Travis Kelce’s Chiefs teammates, aside from Harrison Butker – were there, as well as several players and coaches from other teams.

In fairness, Brady wasn’t the only one who left early. ESPN’s Stephen A Smith ducked out before midnight and Hugh Grant was also pictured exiting around an hour after Brady, as was Chris Rock.

Brady is widely considered one of America’s most eligible bachelors – certainly now Kelce is taken – after splitting with his wife of 13 years, the Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen, in October 2022.

He has stayed single since, although he started 2026 by being linked to influencer Earle. Other romance rumors have seen Brady linked to Sofia Vergara, Brooks Nader and Irina Shayk.

He and Earle were pictured getting handsy at a New Year’s event in St Barths and then again at a Super Bowl party in San Francisco back in February. Earle was also at Rubin’s party just a few days ago.

Ex-wife Bundchen, meanwhile, has moved on with jiu-jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente, with whom she has had a child.

Brady, meanwhile, still would have witnessed the event that the world is waiting with bated breath to learn more about. Guests were sworn to secrecy over the venue, the date and even who else would be attending.

After the marriage ceremony was complete, screens outside the venue officially announced that Swift and Kelce were married.

‘JUST&T MARRIED’ read the message, officially confirming the news that everybody had been waiting for.

Swift’s representatives then released a statement revealing that the ceremony was officiated by comedian and Hollywood actor Adam Sandler and that neither one of the happy couple had traditional wedding groups.

Instead, Jason Kelce was best man for his younger brother while Swift’s brother Austin was her ‘Man of Honor.’

Once the party is over, though, Kelce might have some unhappy friends to be dealing with.

Sources told the Daily Mail that some of his Chiefs teammates, as well as front office employees, were disheartened to be left out of parts of the two-day celebration, such as Thursday’s rehearsal dinner.

Many Chiefs players, including Kelce and his new wife, are heading to Orange County, California, next week for their former teammate JuJu Smith-Schuster’s wedding.

Then, they’ll have a break before training camp begins on July 29 ahead of the new NFL season in September.

Cabo Verde Shocks Fans with Incredible World Cup Performance

0

In an unforgettable showcase at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Cabo Verde etched its name in history with a tale reminiscent of the greatest underdog stories.

The tournament, now expanded to host 48 teams, witnessed Cabo Verde’s debut on the world stage. Against all odds, they found themselves up against two formidable giants, Argentina and Spain, who were ranked No. 1 and No. 2 by FIFA at the time.

Incredible as it may seem, neither of these powerhouses could claim a victory over Cabo Verde in regulation time. This island nation, with a modest population of around 530,000, pushed Argentina to the edge of defeat in the Round of 32. With the match tied 2-2, the game extended into extra time, creating a tense showdown.

Ultimately, Cabo Verde’s stirring run concluded when they narrowly lost to the Argentine team, with the final score at 3-2. Despite the defeat, the team departed the tournament with their heads held high, having accomplished what many had deemed impossible.

Cabo Verde faced Spain, Saudi Arabia and Uruguay during the group stage, all of which resulted in a draw.

Cabo Verde became the smallest-ever nation to qualify for the knockout rounds at the World Cup and delivered the performance of a lifetime against Argentina.

The unlikely hero for Cabo Verde was goalkeeper Josimar José Évora Dias, who is commonly known as Vozinha. The 40-year-old finished Friday’s match with seven saves, 100% successful dribbles, 100% ground duels won, two passes into the final third, eight recoveries and one defensive contribution against Argentina.

Vozinha put himself on the map when he recorded seven saves on 27 shots against Spain in Cabo Verde’s World Cup opener. His heroics earned him millions of new followers on Instagram, with Vozinha ended the tournament with more than 18 million additional followers.

Regardless of which nation wins the tournament, Cabo Verde’s World Cup run won’t be forgotten.

Moana’s Canoe Artisan Brings Disney Enchantment to Jersey Shore

0

POINT PLEASANT BEACH, N.J. — Disney’s much-anticipated live-action version of ‘Moana’ has set fans abuzz, giving them an opportunity to connect with the famed navigator in a whole new way.

Moana made her debut in 2016 through Disney’s beloved animated film, capturing hearts worldwide.

Now, this cherished tale is being reimagined for the silver screen, complete with Moana’s legendary canoe making an appearance.

One such canoe from the upcoming movie is currently showcased at Point Pleasant Beach, right on the boardwalk facing the Jersey shoreline.

Guiding this maritime marvel into New Jersey’s waters is Captain Nakoa Prejean, whose spirit of adventure echoes that of Moana herself.

“This is something that we grew up doing that was passed on to us from our family,” says Prejean.

Captain Nakoa is the founder of Hawaiian Ocean Adventures in Oahu, and he was tasked with the honor of building the canoes used in Disney’s live-action ‘Moana.’

“It’s about passing on the knowledge of what we love to do, and we’ve been very fortunate to be able to be a part of this whole production and part of the huge team that brought it all to life, he says.

He also taught the stars to sail, from ‘Moana,’ Laga’aia to ‘Maui,’ Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

“Katie was a natural,” he said, joking that Johnson needed a little work. “We got about three or four days in Hawaii sailing some of the canoes that we built, traditional craft. She had a wonderful time. It was exceptional.”

Look for Captain Nakoa’s handcrafted canoes when Disney’s live-action ‘Moana’ hits theaters on July 10.

Moana’s canoe will be on the boardwalk in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ through 11 p.m. on July 5.

Keiko Fujimori Claims Victory in Peru’s Presidential Election: What It Means for the Nation’s Future

0

Conservative candidate Keiko Fujimori has secured victory in Peru’s presidential election, ending weeks of demonstrations, allegations of electoral fraud, and the scrutiny of disputed ballots in a closely contested race.

In the runoff on June 7, Fujimori captured 50.135% of the vote, narrowly outperforming her opponent, leftist congressman Roberto Sanchez, who garnered 49.865%. This thin margin translates to approximately 50,000 votes in her favor out of a total of 18 million ballots cast.

“Our aim is to identify and build on all successful practices, initiatives, and projects,” Fujimori stated at her party’s headquarters, flanked by her team, highlighting the importance of continuity in their operations.

She emphasized, “Today signifies the commencement of a new chapter for Peru—one characterized by accountability, dialogue, and impactful outcomes to rejuvenate trust in our institutions.”

Fujimori’s slim victory margin marks a dramatic turnaround from her narrow defeat in 2021, where she lost by about 45,000 votes to the then leftist President Pedro Castillo, who was later impeached and imprisoned for attempting a congressional dissolution in 2022.

Sanchez is widely seen as Castillo’s political heir and has said he will not recognise Fujimori’s government after claiming, without providing evidence, electoral fraud.

Sanchez, boosted by voters from Peru’s rural regions, led the race earlier in the count and also won votes cast within the country by a slim margin. He has led marches contesting the vote and filed a complaint with the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights challenging the elections.

Fujimori was boosted by voters in the capital region of Lima and also led votes cast by overseas ballot by a wide margin, pushing her to victory.

The tight, drawn-out race has highlighted the country’s deep polarisation and political instability that led to the ousting of several presidents over the last decade.

A messy inheritance

When Fujimori assumes power on 28 July, she will be the 10th president since 2016. She will succeed interim President Jose Balcazar, who took over in February after a series of presidential dismissals over accusations of corruption or abuse of power.

Fujimori’s win reaffirms Latin America’s rightward shift, and other conservative leaders in the region, including Argentina’s Javier Milei, Chile’s Jose Antonio Kast and El Salvador’s Nayib Bukele, have already congratulated the president-elect.

United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio also congratulated Fujimori in a statement on Tuesday, saying that President Donald Trump’s administration looked forward to deepening cooperation on security, investment and trade.

Her victory was also welcomed by markets, which had been rattled by the prospect of a Sanchez win. On Thursday, Moody’s issued a report saying a Fujimori government will preserve policy continuity, bolster investor confidence and help the country sustain growth.

The report added that this could help unlock delayed mining projects in Peru, which is the world’s third-largest copper producer.

A divisive dynasty

Fujimori, 51, is the daughter of late President Alberto Fujimori, who governed the country with an iron fist from 1990 to 2000 and was credited with defeating Maoist insurgents and taming runaway hyperinflation.

But the Fujimoris are still a controversial dynasty in Peru. Alberto served 16 years in prison for human-rights abuses and Keiko spent years under investigation over campaign financing allegations, which were dropped last year. She was imprisoned multiple times between 2018 and 2020 during the investigation, spending nearly a year and a half in jail.

Fujimori will now be tasked with uniting a polarised nation with a fragmented Congress prone to ejecting presidents. The country also faces a vast economic divide between the capital of Lima and rural areas, where heavy protests and clashes with security forces killed over 60 people after Castillo was removed from office.

Those areas were also Sanchez’s bastion of support and his party, Together for Peru, holds the second-largest bloc in Congress, with Fujimori’s party holding the most seats.

Travis Kelce’s Final Pre-Performance Bravery Boost Caught on Camera

0

A shroud of mystery enveloped Manhattan’s Ritz-Carlton hotel this past weekend, as none could confirm that it was indeed Travis Kelce slipping away as the groom of the hour en route to what the world might call the wedding of the century.

In a weekend full of spectacle and secrecy, Kelce, alongside Taylor Swift, orchestrated elaborate methods to maintain their privacy, leaving the media in a frenzy. It seemed like a rare, candid moment of Kelce unfurled when he believed no eyes were upon him.

Captured in exclusive snaps by the Daily Mail, a man standing at the hotel’s service entrance on Friday bore a striking resemblance to Kelce. His actions mirrored those of a strategic play, reminiscent of Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid’s well-known on-field moves.

The getaway vehicle trailed another high-profile car, equally concealed under heavy black tint, suggesting it might be ferrying close family members of the celebrated couple. The enigma of the moment left onlookers and the media buzzing with speculation.

While most guests took the conventional route from the hotel’s front, this mysterious figure opted for an enigmatic exit, hidden in the back of a tinted-window SUV and taking a discreet swig from a hip flask.

Hotel workers laughed nervously and would not confirm or deny it was indeed the main man, but they did seem weary of a weekend which – though a clear celebration of love – has been ruled by an iron fist.

Indeed, reports have already spread that staff have lost their jobs for surreptitiously using phones at Madison Square Garden.

And if these new images are indeed of Travis Kelce, it wouldn’t be the only cloak-and-dagger tactic employed during this weekend of pure Taylor-mania.

Love them or hate the spectacle, Swift and Kelce have undeniably captivated America in a will-they-won’t-they cat and mouse game that’s run rings round the nation’s media.

And it all led to a brief but bombshell statement issued Friday: They’re now married. And she wore Dior, by the way.

Kelce and Taylor Swift went to great lengths to hide their wedding plans from the eyes of the world and the Daily Mail could not confirm the identity of the thirsty passenger

It’s been months in the making. The Daily Mail was the first to report back in April that wedding planners had sent out nondisclosure agreements (NDAs) along with their save-the-dates to more than 1,000 guests who had to sign before receiving the actual wedding invitation.

For added security, each invitation was individually watermarked using the guests’ first and last names, printed repeatedly across the design, making any leaked invite instantly traceable.

Sources said Swift and Kelce had even kept their loved ones on a ‘need-to-know basis’ to prevent leaks, with the bride and groom’s mothers, Andrea Swift and Donna Kelce, kept in the dark about the wedding prep.

And when festivities started, the Daily Mail also exclusively learned that on-site security had gone a step further, requiring everyone in the wedding reception venue to forfeit their phones and wear a tracking device.

‘When they give you a wristband, they take your picture and the wristbands can be tracked everywhere in the building,’ a source explained, ‘They can see where you are; must have an RFID [radio-frequency identification] or something.’

Arriving guests were also given QR codes in order to check in, before their phones were confiscated to prevent photo leaks.

Even the NYPD were not immune to the heightened security measures, with the more than 130 officers assigned to work the celebration told they were not allowed to have their cell phones on the premises.

One guest inadvertently gave a glimpse into the strict instructions as she struggled to get into the event, showing security a message on her phone which appeared to read, for ’emergency communication needs during the event, there will be phones available. Please make sure you have written down any phone numbers you may need.’

Swift uncharacteristically stayed out the spotlight over the last week, keeping everyone guessing over her movements even as a cavalcade of cars with tinted windows shuttled in and out of her Manhattan townhouse.

The identity of her wedding dress designer has now finally been revealed as Jonathan Anderson, the new creative director of Dior. It is his first couture wedding gown for the brand.

Interestingly, the revered French fashion house was not among recently rumored designers that included Oscar de la Renta, Ralph Lauren and Stella McCartney.

Last month, in another apparent bait-and-switch decoy, a bodyguard was even seen with a fake Stella McCartney dress in a garment bag outside Swift’s Manhattan apartment.

To keep up with Swift’s mastery, Kelce might have taken inspiration from Reid, who is notorious for devising trick plays on the football field during the biggest moments of the season.

In the Chiefs’ Super Bowl game against the San Francisco 49ers, Kelce became the decoy on the title-winning touchdown drive. He diverted the attention of the last defender, allowing Mecole Hardman to run free and receive the touchdown catch that earned Kelce his third Super Bowl ring.

Swift was in the stands that day in Las Vegas and when they embraced on the field after the win, she told him it was ‘the craziest thing I have ever seen.’ George Kittle, one of Kelce and Swift’s wedding guests at MSG, was on the losing team.

Rumors also spread that Swift would have a coterie of bridesmaids, including Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid and her childhood friend Abigail but neither Swift nor Kelce had bridesmaids or groomsmen.

Instead, Swift’s brother Austin served as her only ‘Man of Honor’ and Jason Kelce was Kelce’s Best Man. And, in a move truly no one saw coming, the ceremony was officiated by friend comedian Adam Sandler.

The couple’s Love Story began three years ago this week, when Kelce first laid eyes on the songstress at her Kansas City Eras Tour concert on July 8, 2023.

The Chiefs tight end tried to meet Swift that evening, bringing along a friendship bracelet that contained his phone number. However, his attempt at handing her the jewelry was unsuccessful.

Kelce subsequently shared the story on his New Heights podcast, which attracted Swift’s attention.

The couple’s marriage was finally confirmed on Friday evening

The 14-time Grammy winner has since revealed that she was moved by the gesture, saying it felt like she was ‘in an ’80s John Hughes movie, and he was standing outside of my window with a boombox saying, ‘I want to date you! Do you want to go on a date with me? I made you a friendship bracelet! Do you want to date me?”

She added: ‘I was like, ‘If this guy’s not crazy, which is a big if, but if he’s not crazy, then this is basically every song I’ve ever written since I was a teenager come to life.”

Soon after, Swift and Kelce met in person and started dating, instantly enamored with each other.

They announced their engagement in August 2025.

The Daily Mail has contacted representatives for Kelce for comment and has yet to hear back.
