Rhapsody Of Realities 18 June 2026: Walking In The Spirit Is The Answer

Rhapsody Of Realities 18 June 2026 By Pastor Chris Oyakhilome (Christ Embassy): Walking In The Spirit Is The Answer

TOPIC: Walking In The Spirit Is The Answer (Rhapsody of Realities 18 June 2026)

…Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh (Galatians 5:16).

Rhapsody Of Realities For Today’s MESSAGE:

The solution to the challenges associated with the flesh, the world, and temptation is heeding the definitive instruction from the Word of God to walk in the Spirit. From some of our earlier studies, we observed that the flesh operates by desire, the world by influence, and temptation by internal inclination.

But there’s a higher life in Christ. When you walk in the Spirit, His life that’s inherent in your recreated human spirit is expressed effortlessly. That’s why He didn’t call us to fight the flesh, the world, or the devil but to simply live according to our nature. The flesh has been crucified (Galatians 5:24), you’ve overcome the world (1 John 5:4), and the devil is defeated (Hebrews 2:14).

Walking in the Spirit, therefore, is not a struggle; it’s the expression of your true nature. It’s walking in the Word, where the fruits of the spirit—love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance—flow naturally from within you. This is the life of the Christian. Christianity isn’t a religion, and it’s not a struggle with sin, the flesh, or the devil; it’s the transcendent life in Christ. It’s the unveiling and manifestation of the Christ-nature in you. Hallelujah!

You’re not called to battle the flesh, the world, or the devil. You’re called to live the life of the Spirit. As you give yourself to the Word and yield to the Holy Spirit, His life in you gains the ascendancy over the flesh. Therefore, walk in the Spirit, consciously and consistently, expressing your true nature in Christ; in doing so, you rise above all limitations and live triumphantly every day.

CONFESSION

I walk in the Spirit, conscious of my divine nature in Christ, and I manifest His glory and righteousness. I live by the power of the Spirit. The life of Christ is expressed in and through me, producing love, joy, peace and excellence. I walk in victory every day, fulfilling God’s purpose for my life. Hallelujah!

FURTHER STUDY

Galatians 5:16-24 (KJV)
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. [17] For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. [18] But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. [19] Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, [20] Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, [21] Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. [22] But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, [23] Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. [24] And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

Romans 8:13-14 (NIV)
For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live. [14] For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.

Tragic Discovery: Construction Worker Found Deceased in Ceiling of New Broncos Facility

0

A tragic incident has occurred at the Denver Broncos’ upcoming $175 million practice facility, where a construction worker was found dead.

The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office reported that the worker’s body was located in a confined ceiling area at the construction site of what will soon be a cutting-edge, 205,000-square-foot facility. The discovery was made on Monday night.

Fire rescue teams arrived at the location and managed to reach the worker, whose identity remains undisclosed. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at the scene, and the cause of death has not yet been determined.

Turner Construction Company, which is overseeing the project, announced that construction activities have been halted pending an investigation.

Christopher McFadden, the senior vice president of global communications, expressed the company’s sympathies: “We extend our heartfelt condolences to the worker’s family, loved ones, friends, and colleagues during this very difficult time,” he stated.

‘This is a heartbreaking loss for all those impacted by this tragedy.’

The man was discovered ‘in a confined ceiling area’ and was pronounced dead at the scene

The Broncos were due to relocate their offices and operations from the current practice facility within days, according to the Denver Post. It is part of a gradual moving process before the team starts training camp in late July.

In a statement, the Broncos said: ‘The Denver Broncos are heartbroken to learn a subcontractor working on our new training center passed away Monday while on-site. We extend our deepest sympathies and condolences to the individual’s family, coworkers and friends during this difficult time.’

It is the latest offseason drama for the Broncos after pass rusher Jonathon Cooper was arrested for the second time in a week earlier this month.

Cooper was arrested on multiple charges last week that he violated a protection order filed against him after his initial arrest stemming from a domestic dispute with his girlfriend earlier this month.

Cooper is now facing new charges of harassment from repeated phone calls and violation of a protection order, according to court records.

The protection order was put in place for Cooper’s girlfriend after two additional charges, including a felony charge of second-degree assault by strangulation, were added Wednesday from his June 4 arrest in Parker.

Aside from his legal troubles, Cooper could face a lengthy suspension from the league.

Meanwhile, the Broncos kicked off their mandatory minicamp on Tuesday with a notable attendee – quarterback Bo Nix, who’s returning from two ankle surgeries.

Nix returned to practice, albeit on a limited basis, for the first time since breaking his right ankle late in overtime of the Broncos’ divisional playoff win over the Buffalo Bills in January.

‘It was great,’ said Nix, who underwent a cleanup procedure this spring rather than pushing it off until next offseason.

‘I’m sort of glad we got it all out of the way, don’t have to do it in the years to come. But football’s a physical game, so there’s no telling what will come up, but for right now I feel really good about the steps I’m making and I’m going to be just fine.’

Asked if he thinks he’ll be full-go by training camp in late July, Nix laughed, saying, ‘Yeah, I could go full-go right now if they wanted me to.’

Pentagon Chief Criticizes NATO Allies, Initiates Comprehensive Review of US Military Presence in Europe

0

BRUSSELS (AP) — U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth delivered a stern message to NATO allies on Thursday, announcing a forthcoming six-month assessment by the Pentagon. This evaluation will focus on the deployment of American forces in Europe, with its findings contingent on the pace at which European nations assume responsibility for their own security.

“This is not just any review,” Hegseth emphasized. “It is intended to ensure that NATO is swiftly and decisively moving toward a scenario where Europe is at the forefront, taking the lead in its own defense,” he relayed to NATO officials gathered in Brussels.

Hegseth expressed strong criticism towards European allies for their reluctance to grant U.S. forces access to European bases for operations against Iran, labeling the situation as “disgraceful.”

“These allies compromise the safety of America’s servicemen and women by denying them the consistent access, basing, and overflight rights that should never have been in doubt,” he asserted.

Beginning his address at the meeting, Hegseth also criticized European policies on migration and gender equality, echoing sentiments previously expressed by Vice President JD Vance in February of the preceding year, which had sparked discontent among Europeans.

“Instead of tanks and fighters and air defenses, the focus has been on gender equity and climate change and defense austerity. Europe’s borders flew wide open, welfare states expanded, defense budgets cratered. Along with Europe’s belief in itself and its civilization,” Hegseth said.

Hegseth’s comments largely mischaracterized European policies today. On defense, European allies and Canada have launched an unprecedented effort to boost defense spending and expand their armed forces. NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte noted on Thursday that they spent $90 billion more on defense last year, a 20% increase over 2024. And while Europe accepted large numbers of migrants and asylum seekers more than a decade ago, most countries have tightened their borders since.

The Trump administration now wants a reboot of the 32-nation organization to turn it into a “NATO 3.0” capable of deterring any threat, Hegseth said.

Hegseth’s remarks came a few weeks after the United States told its allies that it would no longer supply certain warships and aircraft if one of them comes under attack. European allies and Canada are trying to work out how to plug the gaps.

NATO’s supreme allied commander, an American, is working on backup plans to defend Europe after the U.S. signaled on June 3 that it would no longer supply an aircraft carrier and support ships, aerial refueling planes and dozens of fighter jets, among other military assets, in a crisis.

The Trump administration insists that it needs to be able to plan for two simultaneous conflicts and wants more military resources at hand should a conflict break out with China in the Indo-Pacific region.

Under NATO’s collective security guarantee – Article 5 of its founding treaty – the 32 allies pledge that an attack on one of them will be considered an attack on all. It does not oblige them to provide military support, although many likely would.

In essence, the United States is scaling back how it might help should an ally trigger Article 5. The U.S. has by far NATO’s biggest armed forces. It does not intend to withdraw its nuclear weapons in Europe, which are key to NATO’s deterrence.

To underscore that point, NATO’s Nuclear Planning Group issued its first statement in 19 years after it had assembled at Thursday’s meeting.

In the statement, it “recalled that the strategic nuclear forces of the Alliance remain the supreme guarantee of Allied security and underpin NATO’s extended deterrence architecture.”

The ministers “agreed to continue enhancing NATO’s nuclear deterrence mission by modernizing NATO’s nuclear capabilities, strengthening its nuclear planning capacity, and adapting to achieve its security interests.”

Austin Metcalf’s Father Backs Judge’s Strict Stance on Cameras in Karmelo Anthony Case

0

FRISCO, Texas – Jeff Metcalf, father of the late Austin Metcalf, fully supports the judge’s ruling to ban cameras from the courtroom during the Karmelo Anthony murder trial.

Judge John Roach of the 296th District Court previously emphasized the necessity of this decision to ensure a fair trial process.

In a conversation with News Media, Jeff Metcalf explained, “Minors had to testify, and that’s already challenging because they’ve experienced trauma. These events will linger in their memories forever, and they are all undergoing counseling. Watching them take the stand and face difficult questions was already tough enough.”

In April 2025, Austin Metcalf was tragically stabbed in the chest by Anthony at a high school track event. Anthony was found guilty of murder and received a 35-year prison sentence.

Metcalf, who was under a gag order imposed by the judge throughout the trial, said he wants to speak face-to-face with the Anthony family. He said he has yet to hear from the parents of the man who killed his son.

“If they would have taken accountability and showed remorse, I truthfully believe, I don’t think he would have got that many years that he received,” he said about the Anthony family.

News Media has reached out to the Anthony family for comment.

Anthony has since filed a notice of appeal to challenge his conviction.

Metcalf has had death threats sent to him and his family, he said. Frisco Police are investigating.

In a message to people threatening his family and the Anthony family, Metcalf said, “You’re soulless, you don’t have compassion or empathy, and I mean, what are you, a sociopath?”

He went on to say, “I wish both sides would quit. It’s not needed. Both these boys, especially mine, mine’s never coming back.”

As for Anthony and his family specifically, Metcalf said, “There’s consequences for actions and he got the consequences. But there’s no need to dogpile on this other family just because he got convicted.”

While daily headlines are published about the verdict and trial, Metcalf’s home has become a shrine of all things Austin.

Metcalf said his twin boys were so close they chose to share a bedroom despite plenty of other rooms in his home. They were “attached at the hip,” he said.

Hunter is probably the strongest individual I’ve ever seen in my life. To carry what he has to carry, to do what he did from the death of his brother to this day has shown absolute strength that I don’t believe I myself even carry. I couldn’t be more proud of him,” he said.

Austin was seen as the “big brother” even though the two are twins; Austin was born minutes earlier than Hunter.

Hunter completed his senior year and recently graduated without his beloved brother by his side. He accepted his brother’s posthumous diploma, Metcalf said.

The twin boys would have celebrated their 19th birthday together this July.

Exploring the Potential of a Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Wedding at Madison Square Garden

0

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s upcoming wedding at Madison Square Garden promises to be a spectacle rivaling the grandeur of Swift’s “Eras Tour,” according to several insiders speaking with Page Six.

The lavish event is being orchestrated by renowned Los Angeles-based celebrity wedding planner Mark Seed. Sources reveal Seed has been meticulously planning the celebration for several months in anticipation of the big day on July 3.

“He can create something extraordinary from absolutely nothing,” a source shared with Page Six, highlighting Seed’s exceptional talent.

With a venue capacity of 20,000 seats, Seed faces a significant challenge in transforming the arena. Insiders suggest that assembling the setup will likely require multiple days, and dismantling it afterward could take just as long. Interestingly, there are no scheduled events at MSG from June 29 to July 6, hinting at the scale of preparations involved.

Should Swift and Kelce opt for an all-out affair, extensive transformations of the venue may be essential.

“It would be an Eras-tour level production,” Darren Olarsch, founder of On The Move Entertainment, a production company based in NoMad, told Page Six.

“It’s doable, but it is like planning a concert. What might be a $300,000 wedding somewhere else, inside the Garden would be $3 million,” he added.

Explaining what it would look like, Olarsch added: “The production team would have to build out overhead structures”— using decorative elements like draping — “to bring down the scale,” from the 150 -foot height ceiling, so it feels more “romantic, close and intimate.”

“They would literally build the wedding venue on the floor. Your own mini stage, dance floor and surrounding tables that are all right there; a venue within a venue.”

And to conceal the four huge tiers of seating, Olarsch says the windowless arena means Swift and Kelce can use lighting to their advantage, as they are completely in control.

“You black out the seats, no one would ever see them. You light the areas you want people to see,” he said.

Regarding the actual look of the wedding and its décor, planners think Swift will want to lean into her trademark style, noting there is likely to be many floral elements, as at the pair’s engagement.

“Given Taylor’s style, she would lean heavily into the romantic, storybook aesthetic that has appeared throughout her eras like, ‘Love Story,’ ‘Folklore,’ ‘Evermore.’

“Some design elements would likely include an enchanted garden, soft candlelight, draped ceilings and fabric with vintage touches,” New York-based celebrity wedding planner Lauren Zizza told Page Six.

A second wedding planner also feels it likely there will be multiple spaces created within the arena for the different parts of the wedding.

“People forget you have a ceremony, a cocktail hour, a dinner dance and an afterparty – you need four distinct spaces.

“I imagine the main floor of the arena would be the place for the dinner and dancing — Similarly to fashion shows where they take over a venue, or the Met Gala. You look at the space and then decide what you want to put it in, rather than letting the space dictate what it is,” the source said.

Within the venue itself there are several options the “Karma” singer and her Kansas City Chiefs fiancé can use, which could allow them to host a more intimate ceremony followed by a larger-scale celebration in the main arena.

“I think the [Infosys] Theater is where the ceremony [would] be,” a source in the wedding industry explained, referring to the venue’s 5,000 capacity Roman-theatre style seated underground venue.

“The ceremony is most important. It could also be in one of the lounges or a restaurant space they close down and rejigger to make it more intimate,” the source added.

No matter which part of the venue is used, Seed and his planning assistants will have to ensure every aspect is union approved, per MSG policy.

“Whoever is working there would have to be complaint with the unions — union electricians, union riggers, the people loading the gear, setting up any stage, all the support is unions,” a music industry insider told Page Six, also noting the cost to insure the venue for the event and workers will be astronomical.

When it comes to arrivals, huge stars like Swift and Kelce and their sure-to-be star-studded wedding guests can’t exactly come via subway or pull up at the front of the venue amid the street hawkers, halal carts and weirdos who hang around Penn Station.

It’s more likely, Swift and Kelce will arrive in blacked-out SUVs at an unmarked entrance off 7thave and 33rd street. There, a secured garage-door on the street level leads underground through a special passageway which goes 5-stories down, then straight up into the building.

As for catering, sources expect Swift, who is often a champion of small businesses and fiercely loyal to her second home, Nashville, is most likely to bring in caterers from that town.

“She’s very generous with making people’s lives [by booking them] rather than using the usual suspects,” said the wedding planner source.

If Seed — so discreet his is ” renowned for never, ever talking about his clients” — is indeed transforming MSG for Swift and Kelce’s mega-wedding, it’s certainly not his first rodeo.

He previously organized Jennifer Lawrence’s wedding to Cooke Maroney in 2019, staging the bash at the historic Belcourt of Newport, a lavish 1894 mansion inspired by Versailles in France.

He also constructed a greenhouse on the lawn of the Los Angeles home of actress-producer Sam Ressler’s parents for her wedding to Jason Borg in April 2022.

If Swift and Kelce do tie the knot at MSG, they won’t be the first to do so.

Funk legend Sly Stone famously hosted a theatrical wedding in 1974 to model Kathy Silva with guests required to wear gold, according to Rolling Stone.

The over-the-top affair turned into publicity stunt for the singer’s the Family Stone backing band, who played a sold-out concert for 21,000 fans.

Some of the soul superstar’s outlandish demands for the ceremony included 100 white doves be released into the arena when the couple said “I do.” However, the idea didn’t fly with MSG, who rejected the request outright.

Then in 1982 a mass wedding took place, when 2,075 couples were united at the same time, organized by the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification, a religious offshoot founded in South Korea by the Reverend Sun Myung Moon.

MSG also has a lot of nostalgia for Swift. She’s performed there eight times throughout her career, beginning with 2009’s “Fearless” tour.

As well as their families, highly rumored to be filling out the guest list are Swift’s closest pals, including Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid, the Haim sisters and Ed Sheeran, as well as Zoe Kravitz, although its unknown if her fiancé Harry Styles — one of Swift’s exes — will be in the building.

Meanwhile, Page Six recently confirmed Miles Teller and his wife, Keleigh Sperry, were left off the list after a falling out and Swift’s former BFF, Blake Lively, is also persona non grata, as we previously reported.

Exploring the Rise of Democratic Socialism in Washington, D.C.

0

Imagine this contrast: In just a few weeks, Washington, D.C., will be bustling with celebrations as the United States marks its 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. Yet, by the end of the year, the very heart of American politics might witness a historic shift as it potentially welcomes its first democratic socialist mayor.

Currently, Janeese Lewis George is leading the Democratic primary race for mayor of Washington, D.C., following the June 16 election. Her rise is notable, as she stands out as the first democratic socialist on the DC City Council since the late 1990s.

Lewis George advocates for a “people-first platform,” promising to enhance the lives of residents by maximizing governmental capabilities. Her vision includes universal access to essential services such as childcare, affordable utilities, arts and culture, reliable transportation, good jobs, and housing.

Despite the ambitious nature of her proposals, Lewis George has not detailed the financial implications or funding strategies for these initiatives. It remains likely that she will propose increased taxes on the wealthy as a solution.

Specifically, she wants the government to provide “childcare for all,” “affordable utilities for all,” “arts and culture for all,” “reliable transportation for all,” “good jobs for all,” and “homes for all.”

Conveniently, she never spoke about how much this would cost or how she plans to pay for it. However, it is safe to assume that she will champion taxes on the rich as the panacea.

But the District of Columbia is different than other urban enclaves, like New York City and Seattle, which elected democratic socialist mayors in 2025.

Unlike those cities, the District of Columbia is governed under the Home Rule Act of 1973. According to the law, “Congress reviews all legislation passed by the Council before it can become law and retains authority over the District’s budget.”

SEE ALSO: All It Takes Is a New President: Take a Look at DC’s Columbus Circle Then and Now

Thus, Lewis George, should she win the mayoral race, would have to cooperate with the U.S. Congress to pass her democratic socialist agenda.

I suspect this is a main reason that Lewis George frequently said “D.C. autonomy and D.C. statehood are non-negotiables” throughout the campaign.

To be fair, Mayor Muriel Bowser (D) has at least tried to put D.C.’s budget on a more sustainable trajectory. Bowser, who has served as mayor of D.C. for more than a decade, proposed a budget earlier this year that would cut spending by 3.7 percent.

“I think we all have to be clear-headed about where we are and what it will take to keep growing,” she said after balancing the budget and closing a $1.1 billion shortfall.

For context, D.C.’s budget has far outpaced population growth over the past decade. In 2017, D.C.’s total budget was $13.4 billion for approximately 694,000 residents. In 2026, the budget ballooned to $21.8 billion for approximately 698,000 residents.

Unsurprisingly, most of the money, 34.3 percent, goes to “human support services.” In second place, 19.6 percent goes to “public education.” On the other hand, only 8.9 percent and 7.6 percent are allotted for “infrastructure” and “public safety,” respectively.

Interestingly, Bowser has called for a more business-friendly environment. She knows that economic growth, not crippling taxes, is the only long-term solution.

Moreover, the current mayor refused to endorse Lewis George and instead endorsed the more moderate candidate.

Alas, Bowser’s endorsement of the more reasonable candidate could not overcome the momentum of the democratic socialist. This primary season, we are seeing democratic socialists cruise to victory throughout the country.

Sadly, democratic socialist Janeese Lewis George is just the latest in a long line of collectivists who look to be locks in the upcoming mid-term election. As America celebrates its historic 250th birthday, democratic socialism is surging.

However, the American republic and democratic socialism are antithetical. The principles and values of America’s founding are contrary to the core philosophy of democratic socialism.

The Declaration of Independence changed the world by asserting that all people have unalienable rights that are not derived from government. Despite her so-called people-first platform, democratic socialists like Janeese Lewis George want to reverse that relationship and make the government, not the individual, omnipotent.

DeSantis Criticizes Florida GOP Amid Debate Controversy

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Florida Governor Ron DeSantis recently voiced his disappointment with the Republican Party of Florida (RPOF) following their decision to cancel a gubernatorial debate at the “Sunshine State Showdown” set for this month.

The RPOF has scheduled this event for Saturday, June 27, at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood. The gathering is intended for Republican candidates to discuss and debate policies as they gear up for the upcoming general election later this year.

Despite these plans, the party opted out of hosting the gubernatorial debate. This decision came after only one candidate, U.S. Representative Byron Donalds, qualified under the specified polling and fundraising criteria, as reported by Politico.

Competing against Donalds are other GOP hopefuls, including Lieutenant Governor Jay Collins, former State House Speaker Paul Renner, and James Fishback, CEO of an investment firm.

[RELATED: Waffle House prohibits Florida governor candidate from entering all their restaurants in the state]

During a conference on a new fraud initiative last week, though, DeSantis claimed that there should be debate.

“They said they were going to do a debate,” DeSantis said. “They didn’t put out the criteria publicly. I don’t think the RPOF ever voted on any type of criteria. I’ve heard secondhand what the criteria was — I wouldn’t have qualified when I ran in ‘18!”

As such, DeSantis indicated that the party may be trying to “engineer an outcome,” especially in what may be a “tough cycle” for Republicans this year.

“Having an open process and having people be able to have their say than to try to engineer an outcome,” DeSantis continued. “So what the party should be doing is doing what’s in the best interest of Republican voters. You shouldn’t have another agenda.”

The RPOF also announced it would withdraw an invitation to candidate Fishback, claiming he joined an “unsanctioned debate in violation of Party rules.”

That said, Fishback revealed that he and Renner agreed to appear on live CBS News debate in Jacksonville on July 15.

News 6 has reached out to CBS affiliate Action News Jax, which confirmed that a debate would happen on July 15. However, no additional details have yet been provided about who will attend.

News Release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Northern District of Florida

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – In a recent announcement, U.S. Attorney John P. Heekin disclosed the federal indictment of 25-year-old Pablo Gomez-Sarmiento from Mexico. The charges stem from his illegal reentry into the United States following a prior deportation.

U.S. Attorney Heekin emphasized, “Our immigration laws are non-negotiable. We wholeheartedly embrace those who legally immigrate and adhere to our regulations, but those who choose to flout these laws will face serious consequences. My office is committed to rigorous prosecution, leading to federal incarceration and subsequent deportation, ensuring the residents of the Northern District of Florida can rely on their government to uphold the integrity of our borders and legal system. Gomez-Sarmiento is accused of illegally returning to the U.S. and was discovered in Alachua County in February 2025, having previously been deported in 2020. His trial has been slated for July 22, 2026, in Gainesville, with Chief District Court Judge Allen C. Winsor presiding.

The offense of illegal reentry carries a potential sentence of up to two years in prison and a fine reaching $250,000.

The case involved investigations by Homeland Security Investigations and Enforcement and Removal Operations, with the assistance of the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office.

An indictment is merely an allegation by a grand jury that a defendant has committed a violation of federal criminal law and is not evidence of guilt. All defendants are presumed innocent and entitled to a fair trial, during which it will be the government’s burden to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

This case is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative that marshals the full resources of the Department of Justice to repel the invasion of illegal immigration, achieve the total elimination of cartels and transnational criminal organizations (TCOs), and protect our communities from the perpetrators of violent crime.

Shocking Verdict: No Jail Time for Mom in Severe Baby Injury Case

Ryanne Elizabeth Foster (Craighead County Detention Center)

An Arkansas mother, just 21 years old, has avoided jail time despite inflicting severe harm on her 6-month-old child, with injuries so grave that medical professionals likened them to those sustained in a significant car crash.

Ryanne Foster, residing in Jonesboro, entered a guilty plea to charges of second-degree battery this week, resulting in a sentence of 36 months probation, as reported by the local news outlet Jonesboro Right Now.

As part of her probation, Foster is prohibited from contacting her child and is required to obtain a GED. Should she breach the terms of her probation agreement, she risks a prison sentence of up to six years, according to the same source.

According to Law&Crime, the prosecution alleged that Foster’s abusive actions occurred in July 2024, following a distress call to the Jonesboro Police Department. Officers responded to a report of an infant being treated for severe injuries, which led to the child being admitted to St. Bernards Hospital. Given the critical nature of the injuries, the infant was subsequently transferred to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, for advanced medical care.

During the investigation at the hospital, authorities interviewed Foster and her husband about the events leading to their baby’s condition. The couple claimed their child, a premature birth survivor, had been experiencing seizures since being released from the neonatal intensive care unit, as detailed in court records.

The father allegedly noted that the seizures took place when he was not with Foster and the baby, and that each time the seizures occurred, Foster refused to seek medical attention.

Prosecutors and police said the father claimed Foster did not have an emotional connection with the child and repeatedly referred to them as “a potato” and “sack of flour,” Jonesboro Right Now reports.

Foster alleged that her baby’s injuries occurred during the most recent seizure, which ended with the child falling from the couch. Police noted that the couch Foster claimed the infant fell from was no higher than her knee.

Doctors who treated the child told investigators the infant was suffering from “mixed bleeding on the right and left brain, micro-bruising on the front and back brain” as well as arm and leg fractures.

“When I asked the doctor about what could cause injuries like this in a 6-month-old child, I was told that it would have to be a very bad car accident or physical abuse,” police wrote in a probable cause affidavit.

During the investigation, the child’s father told police he had left Foster and moved out of the home, explaining he was afraid that if he and the baby stayed with her then the infant “could wind up dead,” local television station KAIT reported.

Referencing the “sack of flour” and “potato” statements, the father said Foster had more of an emotional connection “to their dog than baby.”

Shocking Footage Unveils New Details in Texas Woman’s Mysterious Death Case

The family of a 34-year-old woman is desperately seeking explanations after unsettling social media footage appeared to depict an unknown individual residing and dining beside her corpse, days prior to notifying authorities.

Brittany Gamble, who lived with diabetes and epilepsy, vanished under puzzling circumstances after her release from a Houston, Texas hospital last November.

Her disappearance initiated a chilling sequence of events that concluded when her remains were located in Dennis Greer’s residence eight days later.

At the time, police launched an investigation but ultimately closed the case, reportedly due to being understaffed and overwhelmed by homicide cases, leaving her heartbroken family with lingering questions.

In a recent development, the Daily Mail has learned that the police have discreetly reopened the investigation, mere weeks after its abrupt closure.

The ordeal started when Gamble was discharged from St Joseph’s Medical Center at about 9pm on November 19 after being treated for diabetic ketoacidosis.

Her body was discovered inside the Houston-area apartment of 45-year-old Dennis Greer on November 27 after he called 911.

Gamble was found with cuts and bruises on her upper back, bleeding beneath the skin, bruising along her left arm and multiple abrasions and discolorations on her right hand, according to a medical examiner’s report obtained by the Daily Mail.

The medical examiner also confirmed law enforcement observed what appeared to be blood on Greer’s clothing and hands and in multiple locations inside his apartment.

An apparent odor of cleaning products was also noted at the scene, according to the report.

Still, the Harris County Medical Examiner listed her cause of death as ‘undetermined.’ It noted that the exact time she was last known to be alive remained unknown ‘due to conflicting stories.’

While her death was ruled as unexplained, the medical examiner wrote that the ‘circumstances remained suspicious and foul play could not be completely ruled out.’

They concluded that the cause and manner of death ‘may be re-evaluated and appropriately amended’ should additional pertinent information become available.

Now, Gamble’s relatives claim the trove of Facebook videos Greer posted online in the days before the grim discovery should warrant further investigation.

‘He went grocery shopping, he ate beside her, drinking beside her,’ her older sister Rebekah Falke told the Daily Mail of the footage Greer shared.

‘No one in their right mind would ever look at this and think that this is normal behavior.’

The footage – which is too gory for the Daily Mail to publish – has since disappeared from Facebook. It appears to capture Gamble’s body in Greer’s apartment at least two days before he contacted authorities.

Her relatives allege Greer calmly carried on with daily life while her body was in the apartment.

‘He would walk around with cotton balls up his nose,’ Falke said. ‘I would assume that that was being done because my sister was decomposing in his apartment.

‘There is a four hour video of him sleeping on the same mattress next to my sister’s deceased body.’

She also alleged Greer ‘repositioned her body repeatedly on an air mattress’ and ‘wrapped and unwrapped her deceased body.’

‘All of this happened after she was gone,’ Falke added. ‘All of this was posted publicly.’

Falke described Greer’s behavior in the videos as erratic and paranoid. At one point, Gamble even asked to leave while on camera.

‘He had him and her barricaded into his home,’ Falke said. ‘He believed people were trying to break in or coming through the walls or listening through the walls.’

After reviewing the footage, the family believes Gamble died on November 21, with Greer capturing her last moments on camera.

‘In one video, this man is heard yelling at her to “breathe”, and you hear her gasp in the background,’ Falke said. ‘Brittany is not seen alive in any videos after this point.’

Falke said the family discovered the videos themselves when they were desperately trying to retrace Gamble’s final movements after she stopped contacting relatives shortly before Thanksgiving.

Police believe Gamble first encountered Greer at a bus station shortly after leaving the hospital the night she was discharged.

Gamble’s family say detectives told them Greer had initially approached her believing she was somebody else.

‘This man did not know my sister and my sister did not know him,’ Falke said.

Greer later admitted to authorities that he had brought Gamble back to his apartment where she appeared in a series of Facebook Live videos over several days.

He was never arrested and no charges have been filed in relation to Gamble’s death.

Investigators closed the case last month, allegedly telling the family the department was ‘short staffed’ and ‘inundated with murders’ – and that there is ‘nothing that would hold up in court.’

‘We were told the harshest charges would be pursued. Then came silence. And then we are told nothing will hold up,’ Falke said.

‘We have seen things no family should ever have to see. We have heard things no loved one should ever have to hear.

‘The justice system and the medical system have failed Brittany.’

‘We have been met with excuse after excuse. Silence after silence,’ she added. ‘My sister is not a case number. She is a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a friend.’

Police, however, have since reactivated the case.

The reversal came after the Daily Mail submitted Freedom of Information requests and other inquiries to the department, none of which received a response.

A police spokesperson said investigators had been constantly reviewing the evidence which resulted in the reopening of the case.

But Falke was skeptical of the official explanation. ‘We are pleased, but they only reopened it due to pressure,’ she told the Daily Mail.

‘They are requesting all of the evidence that we as a family have, which doesn’t make sense if they did actually subpoena all of the videos from Meta.

‘Communication with Houston Police Department continues to be subpar.’

Greer was previously charged with murder over the 2013 death of 22-year-old Jonequa Brewster, whose body was found dumped in a ditch after she was shot in the head.

However, the murder charge was dismissed, with court documents obtained by the Daily Mail showing that prosecutors reserved the right to ‘refile at a later date.’

He was later convicted of interference with a human corpse in that case, serving seven years behind bars.

His criminal record stretches back decades and includes a string of arrests and charges involving drugs, burglary, theft, resisting arrest, assault and weapons-related offenses.

Court records also show prior felony allegations including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, evading arrest with a motor vehicle and possession with intent to deliver cocaine.

Greer did not respond to a request for comment from the Daily Mail.

Gamble’s family, meanwhile, are still struggling to come to terms with her death.

Falke described her younger sister as ‘a gentle individual and a beautiful soul’ who had struggled with health issues from early childhood.

‘Life was not very kind to her, but she would do anything for anyone,’ Falke said, adding that her sister was ‘very gullible, and people sometimes would take advantage of that.’

She had only just recently moved to Houston after leaving an abusive relationship in Taylor, Texas, where her family is based.
