Tragic Triple Homicide: Suspect Arrested in Shocking Murder of Mother, Pregnant Teen, and 12-Year-Old

0

Law enforcement officials have apprehended a suspect in connection with the horrific slayings of an Alabama woman, her pregnant teenage daughter, and her 12-year-old son. The victims were discovered bound within their residence on April 20.

Mobile County Sheriff Paul Burch announced that 54-year-old William Graham Oliver faces eight charges of capital murder, as reported by the local news outlet WALA. Oliver was taken into custody and booked into jail on Tuesday.

According to previous reports from Fox News Digital, deputies from the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call at a home in Wilmer, Alabama, shortly after 2:30 a.m. on April 20. Inside, they found the three victims in separate rooms, each with their hands tied behind their backs.

The victims were identified as 46-year-old Lisa Gail Fields, who suffered fatal stab wounds; 17-year-old Keziah Arionna Luker, who was shot; and Thomas Cordelle Jr., 12, who had his throat slashed and was nearly decapitated.

Lisa Fields, 46, and her two children, 12-year-old Thomas Cordelle and 17-year-old Keziah Luker, were found murdered.

Authorities confirmed on Monday that Lisa Fields and her two children, Thomas Cordelle Jr. and Keziah Luker, were found brutally murdered in their Alabama residence. This information was initially reported by WALA.

Burch described the scene as “brutal” and noted the home was “left in disarray.”

Luker’s 18-month-old child was found unharmed in the home. Her unborn child, who was seven or eight months along, also died.

The unborn child’s father, who works offshore, triggered the discovery after he could not reach Luker when he saw her phone activated on Life 360, the sheriff said. Another family member went to check on her and found the deceased family.

Burch said Oliver knew the family “for quite some time” and was inside the home “looking for something” the night before the bodies were found, according to the report.

“Very very tight timeline,” Burch told reporters. “Very solid circumstantial evidence at this point, and we feel confident that we have the right man.”

Burch said investigators have pinpointed what Oliver was allegedly looking for and his motive but did not release those details to the public, the outlet reported.

Shortly after the killings, investigators said they believed more than one person was involved in the killings because the victims had been subdued using zip ties and flex cuffs. It is unclear if any additional suspects have been identified.

Jail records show Oliver was charged with first-degree theft of property in 2020, with other arrests dating back to 1990.

The sheriff’s office did not immediately respond to inquiries from Fox News Digital.

At this time, the specific cause of death has not been disclosed.

New Zealand Mosque Attacker’s Appeal to Overturn Convictions Denied

0

A white supremacist responsible for the tragic massacre at two mosques in New Zealand in 2019 has failed in his attempt to overturn his conviction and sentence. This marks a significant legal development in a case that deeply affected the nation.

Brenton Tarrant, aged 35, confessed to orchestrating New Zealand’s most lethal mass shooting in modern history, which led to his life imprisonment in August 2020. The case drew widespread attention and condemnation across the globe.

Tarrant was found guilty of 51 counts of murder, 40 counts of attempted murder, and one charge of committing a terrorist act. These charges reflect the severity and brutality of his actions on that fateful day.

In February, Tarrant, originally from Australia, brought his appeal to the Court of Appeal. He argued that the “torturous and inhumane” conditions of his detention impaired his ability to make rational decisions at the time he entered his guilty plea.

However, the court dismissed these claims, stating in documents released on Thursday, “This Court does not accept Mr. Tarrant’s evidence about his mental state.” The ruling underscores the court’s stance on the credibility of Tarrant’s assertions regarding his mental health during the trial.

“There were inconsistencies in Mr Tarrant’s own evidence, and his evidence is at odds with the detailed observations of prison authorities and the assessments of mental health professionals at the time of him entering his pleas.”

The panel of three judges found the shooter’s guilty pleas were voluntary, and “he was not coerced or pressured in any way to plead guilty”.

“The evidence overwhelmingly demonstrates that he was not suffering any significant psychological impacts as a result of his prison conditions at the time he pleaded guilty,” the court said.

The court said Tarrant’s “proposed conviction appeal is utterly devoid of merit”.

He live-streamed his attack on Al-Noor Mosque and Linwood Islamic Centre in March 2019, before being apprehended by police.

He released a racist manifesto shortly before storming the mosques armed with military-style semi-automatics, indiscriminately shooting at Muslim people gathered for Friday prayers and broadcasting the killings on Facebook using a head-mounted camera.

The massacre shocked the world and prompted New Zealand to quickly tighten gun laws.

Janel Parrish’s Divorce Filing Ignites Buzz Over Sasha Farber Romance Rumors

0

Janel Parrish, known for her role in “Pretty Little Liars,” has unveiled her new relationship with professional dancer Sasha Farber on the very day she filed for divorce.

In an Instagram video the 41-year-old hoofer uploaded Wednesday, he dramatically dipped the 37-year-old Hallmark star and then passionately kissed her while dancing to Stephen Sanchez’s 2023 song Until I Found You.

Farber captioned his loved-up clip ‘I’m the luckiest man in the world’ and Parrish replied ‘My’ followed by four white heart emojis and a crown emoji.

The half-Chinese Hawaiian native reposted the Byelorussian SSR-born Australian-American’s PDA-packed post via Instagram story and wrote: ‘Following your joy will always be the right thing to do.’

The announcement of Parrish and Farber’s relationship was met with enthusiastic support from several of Farber’s former colleagues on “Dancing with the Stars,” including Sharna Burgess, Peta Murgatroyd, Lindsay Arnold, and Gleb Savchenko.

Parrish – who boasts 12.8 million social media followers – first hinted she was spending quality time with the 5ft 7in athlete in an April 8 TikTok video of them dancing, which she captioned: ‘When you run into @Sasha Farber in the parking lot.’

This new relationship marks Farber’s first public romance since his brief four-month affair with Jennifer “Jenn” Tran, his former “DWTS” partner, which ended last June. Tran had recently made headlines as the first Asian-American lead on “The Bachelorette.”

Farber’s past includes a marriage to fellow “DWTS” professional Emma Slater. The two finalized their divorce in 2024 after being married for four years.

Parrish is no stranger to the “DWTS” stage herself, having secured third place with her dance partner Valentin Chmerkovskiy during the show’s 19th season in 2014. Farber, meanwhile, did not participate as a professional dancer that season and resumed his role on the show in its 22nd season in 2016.

On April 9, TMZ reported that the Christmas on Duty star had legally separated from her husband Chris Long ‘a few months ago’ after over seven years of marriage, and the exes officially filed a joint petition for their divorce on Wednesday.

Parrish and the 41-year-old chemical engineer – who originally met at Dave & Buster’s in 2016 – ‘have agreed on spousal support, division of property, legal fees and the date of separation.’

It’s unclear if the Return to Office actress has yet lasered off her ‘IX-VIII-MMXVIII’ tattoo she got on her left arm in honor of their September 8, 2018 wedding date.

Parrish will star alongside Jaime King and Chris Kattan in Michael Naizu and John Wilcox’s indie drama, Bound For Glory, which is about a mixed-race working-class couple navigating Hollywood.

LAPD Chief Raises Concerns Over Staffing Shortages Ahead of 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles

0

Los Angeles’ police chief has issued a stark warning about the city’s readiness to host the 2028 Olympics, pointing to significant staffing shortages and the absence of dedicated financial resources for law enforcement.

This concern arises amidst increasing security challenges linked to major public events nationwide.

During a City Council Budget and Finance Committee meeting on Wednesday, LAPD Chief Jim McDonnell highlighted the department’s lack of designated funding, relying instead on a shared security budget with various agencies, according to the New York Post.

“LA28 has confirmed there is no specific budget allocated for police or other safety measures,” McDonnell stated. “While a security budget does exist, it fails to encompass law enforcement needs.”

“The funding that exists is for all agencies involved in the Olympics, not just the LAPD, and it will be restricted primarily to police officer overtime,” he added.

The Olympics Special Events Unit has determined Los Angeles will need roughly 6,700 officers across eight venues during the 2028 Games, according to the report.

Police will also require an additional 700 to 800 patrol vehicles — a need that is not fully funded.

Officials warned the department is already losing more than 500 officers per year to attrition, driving up overtime costs.

The LAPD expects to log roughly 1.4 million hours of overtime this year, contributing to a projected $16.5 million deficit, the report said.

While Olympic organizers have said the federal government will help handle security, given the Games’ designation as a National Special Security Event, LAPD officials pushed back on that claim, calling it “inaccurate.”

Democratic Socialists of America member and Los Angeles City Council member Eunisses Hernandez questioned whether the scale of police deployment is necessary.

LIV Golfers Eye PGA Tour Comeback Amid Potential Challenges

0

In a surprising twist, several players from LIV Golf have initiated discussions through their representatives about rejoining the PGA Tour. This development follows the revelation on Wednesday that the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund (PIF) is set to withdraw its financial support from the controversial golf league.

However, these players may find their path back to the PGA Tour more challenging than anticipated, as reported by Golf Digest. The unfolding situation began to unravel when the Wall Street Journal disclosed that LIV Golf intended to inform its staff and players on Thursday about the imminent cessation of PIF’s backing.

Subsequently, The Telegraph reported that LIV Golf CEO Scott O’Neil had already started delivering the news to some players by Wednesday evening. This abrupt turn of events has cast uncertainty over LIV Golf’s future, raising questions about how players might transition back to the PGA Tour.

A source revealed to Golf Digest that the Returning Member Program, which famously facilitated Brooks Koepka’s return to the PGA, is unlikely to be reinstated. This suggests that LIV Golf players seeking to rejoin the PGA Tour may encounter a more stringent and less accommodating process.

The uncertainty around the future of LIV Golf has created questions about the pathway back to the PGA Tour, and a source told Golf Digest that the Returning Member Program — which allowed Brooks Koepka to return to the tour — will not be renewed.

Furthermore, according to the report, the PGA Tour is planning to sort returning LIV players into different categories that would include those who were former members and those who never played or held status at all on the tour.

One of golf’s biggest names, Bryson DeChambeau, could face additional hurdles due to his participation in an antitrust suit that was filed against the PGA Tour.

All 11 players involved in that suit are expected to face that scrutiny.

Sources told Golf Digest that DeChambeau, who is in the final year of his LIV contract and had already seemed more reserved in comments about his commitment to the league after 2026, that his view of LIV has changed and he sees it as having underdelivered on its initial vision.

LIV turned golf on its head when it launched in 2022, igniting a civil war in the sport.

The PIF has reportedly spent nearly $6 billion on LIV Golf since it started, though it has not seen the commercial or television success in the United States that it anticipated.

Lil Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., has four children in all. In addition to Dwayne III, he shares daughter Reginae with Antonia “Toya” Johnson, son Kameron with Lauren London, and son Neal with Nivea.

His children have appeared alongside him at public events over the years, and some have also appeared on his albums.

Two men have been charged today over allegedly smuggling drugs by drone south of Sydney.
Events began about 11.45pm on Tuesday when police were called to a unit complex on Corrimal Street, Wollongong, after two men were reported acting suspiciously.

Authorities discovered two individuals, aged 43 and 24, reportedly concealing themselves inside the premises.

The duo claimed to police that they were on the hunt for a drone that had reportedly crashed in the vicinity.

During the investigation, officers located a damaged drone, which allegedly contained a bag intended for dog waste that was filled with 66 grams of methylamphetamine.

The men were taken into custody, and a formal investigation was subsequently initiated.

In a related development, law enforcement officials conducted a raid at a residence on Cliff Road in Wollongong. During this operation, they confiscated a baton, an electronic stun device, 42 grams of methylamphetamine, and $4,350 in cash.

Officers also found the front door had been modified with metal and several deadbolts to secure the building.

Both men were charged with drug offences and unlawful entry.

Police will allege they were flying the drone to deliver drugs in the area when it crashed.

The men were refused bail when they appeared in court yesterday.

They are scheduled to front court again next month.

Kris Jenner Opens Up About the Truth Behind Those Facelift Rumors

Kris Jenner recently underwent a facelift that quickly became a hot topic of conversation. Although her post-surgery appearance initially earned compliments, rumors began to swirl suggesting that Jenner was dissatisfied with the results. In a recent statement, however, Jenner dispelled these rumors, expressing her satisfaction with the work she had done.

Rumors circulated that Kris Jenner hates her facelift

The facelift is said to have come with a hefty price tag of $300,000. Despite the investment, gossip emerged claiming that the outcome did not meet Jenner’s expectations.

A source revealed to Radar Online, “Kris Jenner’s facelift is already showing signs of wear. She is not pleased with the results and is eager to have a revision. She feels it hasn’t maintained the appearance she anticipated.”

The source further mentioned that Jenner has been comparing her surgical results to those of other celebrities who have recently had facelifts.

“Kris is extremely upset that Denise Richards and Lori Loughlin both look fantastic post-surgery, and she feels her results are already lacking in comparison,” the source added.

Kris Jenner said she is happy with her facelift

During a recent appearance on daughter Khloé Kardashian’s Khloé in Wonder Land podcast, Jenner cleared up the rumors. She said it bothers her to see speculation that she hates her facelift.

“Lately, it’s this headline about my facelift, which is really, truly driving me crazy,” she said. “The headline right now is that I hate my facelift, and I’m really mad at, I’m furious at my doctor, Steven Levine, which couldn’t be further from the truth.”

She praised her doctor for the work.

“It’s a flat-out lie,” she said, adding, “I love my facelift. I adore my doctor. I’m obsessed with him.”

She said Levine achieved all of her goals with the facelift. While she said she can deal with commentary about her appearance, she doesn’t like that this could damage Levine’s reputation.

“I can take what people say. I have pretty thick skin,” she said. “And I don’t really need to talk about this issue at all. Except for the fact that someone else is involved, I love him, and I think he’s a genius. I think he’s one of the most talented doctors I’ve ever been to. I think it’s really for him, to say, ‘I love you, Steven.’”

She shared why she got another facelift

This is Jenner’s second facelift. She said that refreshing her appearance makes her feel better about herself.

“I had a facelift about 15 years ago, so it was time for a refresh,” she told Vogue Arabia. “I decided to do this facelift because I want to be the best version of myself, and that makes me happy.”

She wants to age gracefully and believes that she is because of her facelifts.

“Just because you get older, it doesn’t mean you should give up on yourself,” she said. “If you feel comfortable in your skin and you want to age gracefully – meaning you don’t want to do anything – then don’t do anything. But for me, this is aging gracefully. It’s my version.”

JD Vance Shares Pregnant Wife Usha’s Terrifying Experience Amid WHCD Shooting; Admits to Confusion During Incident

0

During the recent White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner, JD Vance shared his immediate thoughts when gunfire erupted unexpectedly.

His primary concern was not his own safety, but rather the well-being of his family.

Vance’s wife, Usha, who is expecting their fourth child, was at the Vice President’s residence in North West Washington when the incident occurred.

“It was more difficult for my wife,” Vance mentioned in a conversation with Fox News, “She was at home with our children and started receiving updates through text messages and social media.”

“At the moment, I was quite unsure about what was happening,” he confessed.

It is the first time the VP has addressed the scary incident.

Around 8:30 pm on Saturday, alleged gunman Cole Tomas Allen, 31, sprinted through a Secret Service checkpoint, prompting agents to open fire. Allen allegedly was armed with a shotgun, a handgun and multiple knives during the incident, federal prosecutors have said.

New images released on Wednesday show Allen wearing a black dress shirt and black slacks with a Trumpian red tie with several knives, a pair of pliers and a handgun holstered to him.

The shots from Secret Service missed Allen, though one agent was struck with a bullet and survived thanks to his bulletproof vest. It is unclear if the agent was hit by gunfire from the Secret Service or from Allen.

‘I’m sitting up there on the dais with some journalists and obviously with the President of the United States a few seats to my right, and there’s a lot of commotion, you kind of hear some loud noises,’ Vance recalled. ‘I had no idea what it was.’

‘And before I had any idea what was going on, I started seeing people sort of duck under their tables or respond to what was going on far in the back of the ballroom. And then an agent comes and whispers in my ear, basically says, “Sir, we have to leave.”‘

Video of the incident shows Secret Service agents immediately evacuating Vance from the stage. The same video shows agents jumping to aid President Donald Trump and others.

The Vice President said his initial concern was over the well-being of the Secret Service agent who was shot.

‘The first thing that happened that actually freaked me out a little bit … is that we heard that an agent had been shot, and in the fog of war, I thought, oh my god, this guy’s actually seriously injured, or maybe worse.’

‘And then we found out later, of course, that he was uninjured or not seriously injured.’

Vance commended the quick and effective work of the Secret Service and noted how, despite having a security detail for two years now, he still often forgets that they are primarily around to defend the Vice President and his family.

‘What an amazing job the agents of the Secret Service do. You saw they went right to me. They went right to the President of the United States. They put their lives in harm’s way,’ Vance continued.

‘They’re the people who drive you to the White House, or they’re the people who hang out with your kids when, when your kids are running around outside, and they kind of fade into the background of your life a little bit, and it’s easy to forget that the reason they’re there is for nights like what happened Saturday night.’

The shooting could have been ‘a lot worse, but the law enforcement did a great job,’ the VP added.
