Justin Bieber Enjoys Heartwarming Fishing Adventure with Son Jack Blues Following Coachella Success

0

Ah, the joys of family time.

After making waves with his $10 million performances at Coachella earlier this month, Justin Bieber took a moment to share a personal slice of his life. The pop sensation gave fans a peek into a serene fishing outing with his son, Jack Blues.

On Friday, Bieber posted a series of photos on Instagram, capturing the tranquil scene of him standing by a lake, a fishing rod in one hand, and his 1-year-old son cradled in the other. The images exude a peacefulness that’s a stark contrast to the high-energy Coachella stage.

In a sweet show of father-son coordination, both were dressed in blue. Justin opted for a casual navy sweatshirt and shorts, while Jack sported a light blue hoodie paired with matching sweatpants and Adidas sneakers.

Though Jack’s face remains unseen, his fascination with his father’s fishing skills was evident, adding a touch of endearing mystery to the shared moment.

The sweet snaps comes on the heels of Bieber headlining Coachella during both weekends.

The pop star secured the multimillion-dollar deal with the festival’s promoter, Goldenvoice, and received $5 million per weekend.

The payment is said to be in line with top headliners for the music festival.

Bieber’s set included the Grammy winner performing a handful of songs from his 2025 albums “SWAG” and “SWAG II” before turning the concert over to his original music.

The hitmaker sang snippets of his greatest hits off a laptop, including “Baby,” “Never say Never” and “Favorite Girl.”

During weekend two, Bieber and his wife, Hailey Bieber, surprised Billie Eilish by letting her go on stage while the headliner belted out his 2009 hit “One Less Lonely Girl” to her. The artist herself has been a longtime fan of Justin.

The musician also performed “Everything Hallelujah,” and while singing the lyric, “Hailey, babe, hallelujah,” the camera panned to his wife in the crowd as she blew him a kiss.

Justin also shouted out their little one, singing, “Baby Jack, hallelujah.”

Hailey, meanwhile, couldn’t be prouder of her partner — taking to Instagram to praise the Skylrk founder for his hard work.

“Such a special weekend. nobody will ever know even an ounce of what it’s taken to get here. so grateful for this beautiful life. SO proud. let’s do it all again!!!!” the Rhode founder penned alongside photos of herself, Justin and baby Jack at rehearsals.

Hailey also celebrated her skincare brand by hosting a Rhode activation event during weekend one.

The couple, who tied the knot in 2018, welcomed Jack in August 2024.

Gainesville Man Faces Arrest After Machete Threats to Neighbor Stir Community Concerns

By Staff Writers

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – A Gainesville man, Gaura Narada Thigpen, 46, was taken into custody yesterday evening after allegedly brandishing a machete and a baseball bat while threatening a neighbor.

The incident unfolded around 11:23 p.m. on April 23 when officers from the Gainesville Police Department responded to a disturbance at the Southern Pines Apartments, located in the 4100 block of SW 17th Place. According to the victim, Thigpen emerged from the nearby bushes and issued threats of violence, claiming he would shoot both the neighbor and the neighbor’s dog.

Armed with a machete and a baseball bat, Thigpen allegedly charged towards the victim with the machete raised, before retreating into his apartment.

Two witnesses supported the victim’s account, confirming that Thigpen was wielding both weapons and noting that he is frequently seen carrying a machete. They also reported witnessing Thigpen’s aggressive advance towards the victim while making threatening remarks.

The victim reportedly told an officer that there have been previous incidents in which Thigpen caused a disturbance and was confrontational, but he hadn’t reported them.

Thigpen reportedly came out of his apartment when instructed by police, and he said the victim had gotten confrontational with him; he said he doesn’t own a machete, a gun, or a dog and that the victim had threatened him. He denied threatening or charging at the victim and said he was just going home at the time of the incident.

Post Miranda, Thigpen reportedly said he had called the police because the victim was getting really close to him and his apartment; he said he shut the door and reported the incident to his landlord.

Thigpen has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He has two felony convictions (non-violent), four misdemeanor convictions (non-violent), and two traffic convictions; he has served one state prison sentence and was released in 2008. Judge Bo Bayer ordered him held without bail pending a hearing on a motion from the State Attorney’s Office to hold him without bail until trial; if the judge denies the motion, bail will be set at that hearing.

Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Speaker Johnson Tracks Down MIA New Jersey Rep. Thomas Kean Jr: A Political Mystery Unraveled

0

According to a report by RedState, Republican Representative Thomas Kean Jr. from New Jersey’s 7th District has been absent from Congress since March 5, without any explanation. Attempts by fellow Republicans, Rep. Chris Smith (NJ-04) and Rep. Jeff Van Drew (NJ-02), to reach Kean through calls and texts went unanswered. Additionally, the House GOP leadership had not provided any information regarding Kean’s disappearance.

The silence was finally addressed when House Speaker Mike Johnson from Louisiana’s 4th District announced on Friday that he managed to contact Kean by phone.

Politico: Rep. Tom Kean Jr. represents New Jersey’s most competitive district this November — but nobody, even his GOP colleagues, can say where he’s been for the past month.

Rep. Tom Kean Jr.’s team said the absence is due to unspecified health issues. The New Jersey Republican hasn’t voted since March 5 and has missed almost 50 roll call votes.

That silence has been broken. On Friday, House Speaker Mike Johnson (LA-4) said in a statement reported on Friday that he was able to raise Kean on the phone.

Speaker Johnson said in a statement provided to ABC News that he spoke to Kean by phone on Thursday, and that he is dealing with an unspecified “personal health matter.”

“I was happy to speak to Tom Kean, Jr. this afternoon by phone. He is attending to a personal health matter and expects to be back to 100% very soon. Tom is one of the most dedicated and hardest-working Members of Congress, and I am grateful for all he does and will continue to do to serve New Jerseyans and our country,” Johnson said.

Noelle Berriet, Kean’s congressional spokeswoman, did not reply to multiple inquiries asking about the congressman missing votes.

Harrison Neely, a strategist for Kean, told ABC News on Friday, “The congressman is dealing with a personal medical issue. He’s going to be 100% fine and he’s going to be back with a full schedule soon.”

Neely did not share when Kean would return to Congress.

Priceless: The Moment a Little Kid ‘Reporter’ Asks Hakeem Jeffries the One Question He Has No Answer To

We wish him speedy healing, especially with the GOP majority on a razor’s edge. Kean is also in a tough battle to retain his seat, and Decision Desk HQ projects that he could be easily picked off.

The most well-educated swing seat in the country is New Jersey’s 7th District, where 56% of the population has at least a bachelor’s degree. Republican Rep. Tom Kean Jr. has won two close races here, but he faces a tough fight in a blue-leaning midterm year in a seat Trump only carried by 1 point in 2024. Regardless of whom Democrats nominate from a busy primary field, this race will be wildly expensive. After all, the North Jersey seat sits entirely within the ultra-expensive New York City media market.

The New Jersey GOP and Speaker Johnson are projecting weakness on this matter, by not knowing why Kean was absent and when he plans to return. Had it not been for legacy media outlets pointing out Kean’s absence and speculating on Kean’s stock purchases in the midst of his absence, this may have remained a mystery and something Democrats could twist to their advantage. With no clear date on when Kean plans to return to Congress, and Kean’s anemic social media posts about Earth Day and funding for NJ-7 community projects, the GOP and Kean are not building confidence.

The New Jersey midterm primary is slated for June 2.

Editor’s Note: The 2026 Midterms will determine the fate of President Trump’s America First agenda. Republicans must maintain control of both chambers of Congress.

Discover the Rapid Growth of Florida’s Hidden Gem: The Enclave with Unmatched ‘Sizzle Factor

0

Just a short drive, about 20 minutes south of the renowned Mar-a-Lago in Florida, lies a thriving area where lavish multi-million-dollar homes are seemingly flying off the market. This flourishing enclave is none other than Manalapan, located in the heart of Palm Beach County.

Manalapan, with its small population of just 353 residents, has become a haven for the elite, counting among its inhabitants names like billionaire CEO Larry Ellison and Fox News personality Sean Hannity. Notably, music legend Billy Joel once owned property here, which he sold for a staggering $42.6 million in 2024.

The real estate landscape in Manalapan is striking, with the median home price standing at an impressive $2 million. The town’s per capita income is $231,730, which is significantly higher than the averages for the county, state, and nation, as reported by Census data.

According to real estate specialists speaking with the Daily Mail, Manalapan distinguishes itself as a unique Intracoastal town. It boasts expansive properties and a level of privacy not found on Palm Beach Island, making it particularly appealing to affluent buyers.

John Boyd, a principal at the Boyd Company, which provides location advisory services to clients in Manalapan, highlights the town’s distinctive allure. He describes it as possessing a “sizzle factor” that draws in a select, exclusive clientele eager to be part of this prestigious community.

‘It really kind of defies gravity. It applies to just a very specific type of buyer with respect to net worth, and people who value privacy,’ Boyd explained.

He added that having the Palm Beach County zip code is a status symbol and one of the most ‘prestigious’ in the country.

Palm Beach has earned the nickname of ‘Wall Street South’ in recent years for its booming business division and Manalapan has often been called ‘Palm Beach’s wealthy little sister.’

John Boyd told the Daily Mail that Palm Beach has become 'Wall Street South' due to a booming business industry

John Boyd told the Daily Mail that Palm Beach has become ‘Wall Street South’ due to a booming business industry

Over 140 companies have relocated or opened offices in Palm Beach in the past five years, seeing more than 13,000 new jobs and over $1 billion in capital investments, according to the Business Development Board of Palm Beach County.

The county is the fourth-fastest-growing wealth hub in the world, with a staggering 112 percent increase in the number of millionaires over the past decade.

High-profile names like Goldman Sachs and BlackRock have expanded into the area, driving real estate activity and motivating high-income earners to make Palm Beach County their primary residence rather than a second vacation home.

Boyd said his clientele has expressed interest in relocating their businesses to Florida because of the business-friendly tax climate.

Industry opportunity in West Palm Beach has spilled over into neighboring cities like Manalapan.

Nick Malinosky, a realtor with Douglas Elliman, called Manalapan’s evolution over the last few years ‘remarkable.’

‘What used to be a relatively quiet, under-the-radar pocket of Palm Beach County has turned into one of the most sought-after ultra-luxury enclaves in the country. The biggest shift we’ve seen is the caliber of buyer, it’s no longer just seasonal residents or second-home owners,’ he told the Daily Mail.

Chad Carroll, president of the real estate firm, The Carroll Group, echoed a similar sentiment, telling the Daily Mail that listings in the area have skyrocketed within the last 10 years.

He recalled selling a house in Manalapan a decade ago for around $28 million, adding that the listing is now worth over $60 million.

Not only does Manalapan offer exclusivity and direct access to business innovation in West Palm Beach, but it is also uniquely situated for Intracoastal access.

Real estate experts told the Daily Mail that wealthy buyers have access to larger waterfront compounds than in other towns in the county.

Madison Collum, a realtor with Sotheby’s International Realty, said that $100 million might only buy half an acre to an acre on Palm Beach Island, whereas buyers can purchase a two-acre lot at the same price point in Manalapan.

Collum recently sold a home on Ocean Blvd for $15.5 million. The residence spanned just under two acres, with 150ft of oceanfront access between the Intracoastal Waterway and Atlantic Ocean.

The listing included seven bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, a bar, a wine room, an additional guest house, a heated private pool, a gym, a private movie theatre, and a private dock.

The mansion is four acres and 55,000sq ft and features a shooting range, bowling alley, car museum, golf simulator room, padel court, spa and gym

Malinosky also shared listing photos of his recent sale in Manalapan, which was the highest-priced new build in the US.

The listing was recently on the market for $285 million, breaking the record for the area’s most expensive sale.

The listing on S Ocean Blvd is four acres and 55,000sq ft, featuring a shooting range, bowling alley, car museum, golf simulator room, padel court, spa and gym. Stewart Satter, the former mayor of Manalapan and developer, owned the property.

Malinosky told the Daily Mail that his clients are choosing Manalapan over Palm Beach because of the town’s lifestyle.

‘Palm Beach has always been about proximity, Worth Avenue, the social scene, the clubs. Manalapan is more about exclusivity and control,’ he explained.

‘You have these rare ocean-to-Intracoastal properties where buyers can create true compound-style living, often with private docks on one side and beach access on the other.

‘That level of dual-water frontage is incredibly hard to replicate, and it’s become a major driver of demand.’

Unlike Manalapan’s neighbors in Palm Beach County, the town is primarily residential and is not buzzing with a lively social scene or full of bars and restaurants.

The most significant obstacle to Manalapan’s growth is the limited inventory.

The town is only 2.4 square miles and there is limited empty lots.

However when space is available then it is worth a pretty penny. A vacant oceanfront space sold for a massive $105 million this month.

Comprised of two adjacent lake-to-ocean lots at 1120 South Ocean Blvd with 342ft on the ocean it was bought by an anonymous buyer who reportedly intends to build a dream home on the land.

The Tucker Carlson Dispute: Has Trump Permanently Severed Ties with a Key Ally?

0

In brief

  • Conservative media figure Tucker Carlson has apologised for supporting Donald Trump, saying he’s “sorry for misleading people”.
  • While it’s hit snags over the years, an expert says Carlson’s latest remarks indicate the relationship might have run its course.

Tucker Carlson, a prominent conservative voice, has reached a tipping point in his relationship with U.S. President Donald Trump, despite having declared earlier this year that he would remain supportive “no matter what he says about me.”

Once a major advocate for Trump and a leading figure in American media, Carlson was influential in efforts to secure Trump’s return to the presidency.

During his address at the 2024 Republican National Convention, Carlson speculated that Trump narrowly escaped an assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania, attributing his survival to divine intervention.

However, in a recent podcast episode with his brother Buckley, Carlson expressed regret over his role in elevating Trump to power.

“We’re definitely accountable,” Carlson admitted on The Tucker Carlson Show. “You and I, along with everyone who supported him—you wrote speeches, I campaigned—we’re all part of this.”

“It’s not enough to say, ‘Well, I changed my mind.’ Or, like, ‘Oh, this is bad, I’m out.’ It’s like, in very small ways, but in real ways, you and me and millions of people like us are the reason this is happening.

“So, I do think it’s, like, a moment to wrestle with our own consciences.

“We’ll be tormented by it for a long time. I will be. And I want to say I’m sorry for misleading people. It was not intentional.”

A long and at times rocky relationship

Before departing Fox News in 2023, Carlson hosted Tucker Carlson Tonight, the most-watched cable news show in the country, a combative and polarising program that leaned into controversy and provocation.

At its ratings peak in 2020, the show drew more than five million viewers a night.

Carlson was a dominant force in spreading Trump’s false claims about the 2020 election results.

Fox News’ role in amplifying those claims led to a US$787 million ($1.1 billion) settlement with voting systems company Dominion, which sued the broadcaster for defamation.

Court filings from that case exposed texts from Carlson to colleagues that painted Trump in a far less positive light than he typically would on the air.

“We are very, very close to being able to ignore Trump most nights,” Carlson wrote in a text sent on 4 January 2021. “I truly can’t wait.”

“I hate him passionately,” he added.

But the relationship stabilised, and Carlson was a key force in the push to return Trump to power.

Just last month, Carlson had told the Status News newsletter: “There are times I get annoyed with Trump, right now definitely included. But I’ll always love him no matter what he says about me.”

The ‘unofficial leader’ of anti-Trump MAGA?

The most recent flare-up followed weeks of tensions between Trump and Carlson over the White House’s decision to attack Iran with Israel on 28 February.

Carlson has accused Trump of initiating the conflict with no plan, in a betrayal of past promises not to involve the US in foreign wars.

This time, the break-up seems more absolute, according to David Smith, an associate professor in American politics and foreign policy at the University of Sydney’s United States Studies Centre.

“[Trump] has lost not only the support of the independents who got him over the line in 2024, he’s starting to lose support from his own base,” he told SBS News.

“Carlson might be making the calculation that [Trump] is not coming back with [the base] because he’s broken too many promises, and he has not governed as they thought that he would govern.”

As Trump’s approval rating hovers near historic lows, polls indicate he’s bleeding support even from some of his most reliable voting blocs.

“Certainly, the part of the base that Trump is losing is the part of the base that would be listening most to Tucker Carlson,” Smith said.

“I don’t think Carlson is going to want to come back into the Trump fold after this. I think he’s kind of charted his own course as basically the unofficial leader of … anti-Trump MAGA.”

Fault lines in MAGA base over Iran

Carlson is not the only Trump acolyte to publicly fall out with him since his return to office.

Last year, Marjorie Taylor Greene, who had been one of his fiercest and most conspiratorial backers in Congress, shattered their alliance, apologising for her role in “toxic politics” over the years.

While the rift was tied in large part to disagreements over the administration’s handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files, Greene, an anti-interventionist, had strayed from Trump on an array of issues in the lead-up — including his decision to strike Iranian nuclear sites last June.

The war against Iran has inflamed Trump’s relationships with several prominent MAGA podcasters, most notably Carlson, former Fox News host Megyn Kelly and conspiracy theorists Alex Jones and Candace Owens.

All four were outspoken in their criticisms of the war. Owens and Jones even called for Trump’s removal from office, as did Greene.

The four commentators received a furious response from Trump earlier this month.

“They’re not MAGA, they’re losers,” Trump said in a post on his Truth Social platform.

“As president, I could get them on my side anytime I want to, but when they call, I don’t return their calls because I’m too busy on world and country affairs.”

Despite some dips, Trump still maintains high support among Republicans overall.

“There always have been a lot of conflicting currents going on in MAGA,” Smith explained.

“Even though there’s this anti-interventionist version of it, there’s also this very … domination-oriented version of it, which wants to wage wars in order to seize other countries’ oil and things like that.”

Carlson’s shifting ideologies

Carlson has repeatedly repositioned himself over the years, not just on Trump.

In his early career, he was considered an establishment conservative. Over time, his rhetoric shifted toward a more populist and confrontational style.

Carlson has become increasingly critical of Israel and the US relationship with its ally, during both the wars in Gaza and Iran under Trump and former president Joe Biden, drawing accusations of antisemitism which he denies.

His rhetoric has been credited by some commentators as driving factor in a generational rift emerging among conservatives, as younger Republicans increasingly question US support for Israel.

“I think that he is tormented not just by his past support for Trump, but actually by his past support for George W Bush,” Smith said of Carlson.

During Bush’s presidency, Carlson largely backed the agenda at the time, including the Iraq war — a stance he later sharply reversed.

“He kept quiet about his own scepticism because he saw himself as a team player. He saw himself as someone whose job in the media was to defend the Republican Party,” Smith said.

“I think that now he probably feels that he made the same mistake again with Trump.”

Mother Previously Sentenced for Infant’s Death Faces New Child Endangerment Charges

0

A Pennsylvania mother, previously convicted for the accidental death of her infant while under the influence, has been arrested again on charges of endangering a child.

Arissa Ward, 32, faces charges of felony child endangerment and misdemeanor reckless endangerment. Authorities allege that a 2-year-old child, who Ward was supposed to be babysitting, was discovered wandering barefoot on a road, according to a statement from the Pennsylvania State Police to Fox News Digital.

On Tuesday at around 8:00 a.m., the Pennsylvania State Police at Troop J, York Station, received a report about a young child found in the middle of W Main St. in Windsor Borough, York County, the spokesperson told Fox News Digital.

The investigation revealed that Ward, the child’s babysitter, had fallen asleep, allowing the child to leave the house. A passerby spotted the child in the road without shoes and promptly alerted the police, according to the spokesperson.

As reported by Law & Crime, a probable cause affidavit states the boy was “cold to the touch” due to the weather conditions at the time.

The boy’s mother dropped him off to Ward around 6:30 a.m. the morning of the incident.

The woman “stated the front door was unlocked, which is not common,” according to the affidavit. “She walked in the residence and took [the boy] upstairs to Ward’s bedroom, which the door was open. [The mother] stated Ward was asleep and she had to wake her up,” the affidavit continued.

The mother then placed her son in the bed with Ward, after which Ward immediately fell asleep and had to be woken up again, Law & Crime reported, citing court documents. She told law enforcement that she did not close the bedroom door behind her, but did close the front door when she left.

Ward texted the mother shortly after 9 a.m.

“Good morning babe!! Whatcha doin. B—- where is you,” Ward texted.

“Hey girl!!! im at work lol. i was a little late today hope i dont get into trouble lol,” the mom replied.

About 30 minutes later, Ward texted “Where’s [the boy]???” according to Law & Crime.

The boy’s mother then started calling Ward, but got her voicemail all five times she called, according to court documents. Police called the mom at 10 a.m. letting her know they had her son.

When police knocked on Ward’s door, she allegedly answered it saying “I’m babysitting and I just woke up. What is going on?” The cops asked if she was “missing a kid,” and she replied, “Yes, yes, but he is not mine,” the affidavit said, according to Law & Crime.

“[The boy’s mom] dropped him off with me this morning,” she allegedly continued. “He’s a little boy, he’s 2… with blonde curly hair.”

When troopers found the boy, they contacted Children and Youth Services, according to Law & Crime. The group told them to “check Arissa Ward.” Ward had previously spent two days in jail after suffocating her 2-month-old son while drunk and high.

In December 2016, after a night of drinking with her partner, Ward fell asleep on the couch next to her baby. The child died of asphyxiation and had marijuana in his system.

Pleading no-contest to a manslaughter charge, Ward was supposed to receive a three-month minimum sentence. However, Judge William T. Tully instead sentenced her to only two days and then house arrest, citing her living daughter, who was 3 years old at the time, according to Penn Live Patriot News.

“I’m going to give you the opportunity to do a little bit of penance. This will be a chance to prove yourself,” Tully told Ward. “You have got to put yourself back together. Your daughter doesn’t need a semi-mom. She needs a whole mom.”

Ward posted bail for the recent child endangerment case and is due back at court on May 5, Law & Crime reported.

Fox News Digital reached out to Windsor Police Department and York County Court for comment but did not immediately receive a response.

Bill Maher Criticizes Trump’s Repeated Approach to Iran Conflict as ‘Groundhog Day’ Scenario

0

Bill Maher, the well-known comedian, has taken aim at former President Donald Trump over the ongoing conflict with Iran, accusing Trump of prematurely boasting about a victory that hasn’t been achieved.

During Friday’s episode of his late-night show, Maher commented on Trump’s statements regarding the Middle Eastern conflict, suggesting they tend to repeat the same narrative week after week.

“It’s starting to feel like Groundhog Day, isn’t it?” Maher quipped.

He humorously added, “We’re capturing their boats, they’re capturing ours. It’s less like a war and more like a messy Florida divorce.”

The conflict between the United States and Iran escalated on February 28, following a series of joint US-Israeli airstrikes that resulted in the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Maher claimed his problem with Trump was how he ‘keeps saying we won, and we didn’t.’

‘Hormuz is not open, the people did not do an uprising, the regime is still in place,’ he said.

‘We did not win,’ Maher added. ‘Sorry.’

During his monologue, Maher also lambasted Trump’s social media presence, saying that he publishes ‘stuff that’s inflammatory and contradictory.’

Just moments later, Maher proceeded to rip the US President’s posts as ‘bulls*** claims.’

‘You can say what you want about his negotiating tactics,’ Maher said. ‘One tactic you can’t get him on is the silent treatment.’

He added: ‘Turns out, the one thing we are really good at is killing their leaders who are too stupid to go underground when we’re trying to kill them.’

Maher referenced rising gas prices across the US, which have skyrocketed in wake of the war.

Nearly 70 percent of Americans are concerned about high gas and fuel prices due to the Iran war, according to a Pew Research Center survey published April 7.

‘It was Earth Day this week but we found out we still use a lot of oil,’ Maher said. ‘Nobody can afford gas.’

Maher also noted how condoms could become more expensive due to the conflict in the Middle East.

He alluded to the affair rumors surrounding New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel and NFL reporter Dianna Russini while doing so.

‘They’re getting trapped in the Strait of Hormuz, so condoms are now very scarce and very expensive,’ Maher said. ‘More bad news for Mike Vrabel.’

‘The condom situation is so serious that we are changing the name from Operation Epic Fury to the Trojan War,’ he continued.

The world’s leading condom producer, Karex, told Reuters it could raise prices by up to 30 percent if supply chain disruptions continue.

Maher’s Friday remarks about Trump and the Iran war were just his latest about the conflict, which he has regularly discussed on his late night show.

Earlier this month, Maher mocked Trump’s ceasefire deal with Iran.

‘Apparently, this agreement we have, we have to save face and not kill everybody in Iran by pretending that [the Strait of Hormuz] is open,’ he said.

Trump announced Saturday that Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner would no longer travel to Pakistan for Iran peace negotiations

Earlier today, Trump cancelled US negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner’s trip to Pakistan for Iran peace negotiations.

‘Too much time wasted on traveling, too much work!’ Trump posted Saturday on Truth Social.

Trump added: ‘Besides which, there is tremendous infighting and confusion within their “leadership.”

‘Nobody knows who is in charge, including them. Also, we have all the cards, they have none! If they want to talk, all they have to do is call!!!’

He had previously told Fox News about the trip being canceled and the US holding ‘all the cards’ over Iran.

Body Found on Howard Frankland Bridge Identified as USF Student Zamil Limon; Hisham Abugharbieh Charged While Search for Nahida Bristy Continues

In Tampa, Florida, authorities have charged a former student from the University of South Florida with the murder of his roommate and the roommate’s girlfriend, both doctoral candidates from Bangladesh who vanished earlier this month.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office announced that 26-year-old Hisham Abugharbieh is facing two counts of first-degree premeditated murder involving a weapon in connection with the deaths of USF students Zamil Limon and Nahida Bristy.

Authorities discovered Limon’s remains on the Howard Frankland Bridge on Friday morning, but Bristy remains missing, according to Hillsborough County Chief Deputy Joseph Maurer.

Abugharbieh, a U.S. citizen by birth, was initially arrested at his family’s residence on Friday. His preliminary charges included illegally moving a body, failing to report a death, tampering with evidence, false imprisonment, and battery.

Police encountered Abugharbieh during a domestic violence call at his family home, located just north of the university campus. After safely relocating his relatives, Abugharbieh barricaded himself inside. A SWAT team, equipped with a drone, a robot, and crisis negotiators, was deployed to the scene. Abugharbieh eventually surrendered, stepping outside wrapped in only a blue towel.

Limon and Bristy, both 27, were considering getting married, a relative said. They disappeared from campus on April 16. Limon was last seen at his home in an off-campus apartment complex where he lived with Abugharbieh. Bristy, who lived on campus, was last seen an hour later at a campus science building.

An autopsy is being done on the remains to determine the manner and cause of Limon’s death, and those results are expected Saturday morning, Maurer said Friday.

Abugharbieh had been a USF student but was not currently enrolled. University records showed he had attended the school from Spring 2021 through Spring 2023, and had pursued a BS in Management, a university spokesperson said.

Limon was studying geography, environmental science and policy, and Bristy was studying chemical engineering. She was a graduate of Noakhali Science and Technology University. The school, which spelled her last name as Brishti, said in a statement Saturday that she was a Ph.D. candidate and described her as a talented and promising student.

“Her sudden passing has deeply saddened all of us,” Vice Chancellor Mohammad Ismail said. “The university family pays deep respect to her memory. At the same time, we demand punishment for those involved in her death and compensation for the victim’s family.”

The search for Bristy continues. Anyone with information regarding her disappearance is asked to contact the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.

Abugharbieh had several previous arrests, the sheriff’s office said. He was charged with battery and burglary of an unoccupied dwelling in September 2023, and with battery that May – both classified in court records as misdemeanors.

Court records show Abugharbieh entered into a diversion program for first-time offenders charged with misdemeanors. He completed the program in 2024 and the charges were discontinued. A phone call to his lawyer in that case was not immediately returned.

Hillsborough County Court records also showed two domestic violence petitions filed by a family member in 2023. A judge granted an injunction in one case and denied the other petition. He also was accused of traffic violations.
