Unveiling the Untold: Hidden Secrets of ‘Days of Our Lives’ Star Patrick Muldoon Revealed Posthumously

0

The unexpected passing of Patrick Muldoon is particularly tragic as he had just conquered his struggles and was experiencing a career resurgence, alongside finding love with his ‘life partner.’

The star of “Days of Our Lives” succumbed to what appears to be a heart attack at his Beverly Hills residence on Sunday. His producer girlfriend, Miriam Rothbart, discovered him unconscious in the shower. Muldoon was only 57 years old.

In an interview with the Daily Mail, his sister, Shana Muldoon Zappa, 48, expressed that he had no known health issues and was in excellent shape, which makes the family’s shock and grief over this ‘unbelievable nightmare’ even more profound.

However, questions linger for some about whether Muldoon’s turbulent past lifestyle may have contributed to his untimely demise.

An insider from the soap opera revealed to the Daily Mail, “It was widely known on ‘Days of Our Lives’ that Patrick had battled addiction issues. He frequently arrived at work hungover, struggled to remember his lines, and sometimes required multiple takes—occasionally as many as five or six—to get it right.”

‘He tried to hide his habits, but it became increasingly more obvious. He was called in to execs who asked him what was going on. He said he was trying to get clean and begged them to give him a chance. He was getting by on his looks and charisma. He said it got worse when he was doing gigs with his band The Sleeping Masses.’

Some former colleagues have been left questioning if his past ‘wild lifestyle’ played a part in his untimely death (pictured as Austin Reed in Days of Our Lives)

Muldoon, who did not talk publicly about addiction, was cast as Austin Reed on the NBC soap opera in 1992 and enjoyed a three-year run before being replaced by Austin Peck in 1995.

Talking years later about his decision to leave, he said his exit was born out of ‘simply being young and curious to try other things’.

That breakout role in daytime TV earned Muldoon a Soap Opera Digest Award for Best New Actor.

‘It was a big cattle call,’ he recalled to Soap Opera Digest in 2015 of landing the role of the aspiring boxer. ‘For me, it was simply another audition. I screen-tested with Tracy Middendorf, who was playing Carrie. The main thing I remember is that after we got done, I saw Fran [De Simone], who was our stage manager, mouthing to someone else, ‘number four.’ I was number four, so I felt really good about that.’

He returned in 2011 for a second, but albeit, brief one-year stint. This is when he was said to be struggling with addiction.

Fans got excited in June when he appeared to tease another return to Salem, posting a video of himself in the studio and telling his Instagram followers: ‘Oh my God, I’m in Salem! Oh, it’s good to be back.’ But he was simply touring the lot with a friend.

His death sparked a slew of tributes from his former costars who described him as ‘truly irreplaceable,’ ‘the sweetest man,’ and ‘brilliantly talented, endlessly kind and generous in spirit.’

Among those hit hard by his death was actress Denise Richards, who dated the actor for nearly five years in the late 1990s, having first met in an acting class when she was 19 years old and he was 21. They went on to star in Starship Troopers together.

A source close to Richards, now 55, told the Daily Mail that she was ‘inconsolable’.

‘It was an open secret on Days that Patrick had addiction problems,’ a high-ranking insider on the soap told the Daily Mail (pictured with his costar Christie Clark)

The actor dated Denise Richards on and off in the 1990s and they stayed friends for decades

‘It seems like he’d managed to get his life together judging by the projects he was involved with recently,’ said the insider (pictured with his ex, and close friend, Denise Richards)

A separate source reflected on the former relationship as ‘tumultuous,’ revealing that the couple was ‘very passionate, very aggressive.’

‘Patrick was part of that party group in the 90s – he was young and in Hollywood,’ the source told the Daily Mail, adding: ‘I don’t know that I call it a troubled past, but he lived fast. Patrick was one of the It guys, in with the 90s Spelling crowd.

‘I don’t know if that’s the reason why he died or not, it sounds like just a heart attack. But he definitely had some wild times and you know that wild times can catch up with you.’

So close were the exes that Richards’ daughter Lola, who she shares with ex-husband Charlie Sheen, revealed she ‘always begged’ her mom to rekindle her romance with Muldoon, who she said was a ‘huge part of our family.’

It was with Richards that Muldoon made his final public appearance at the 2026 Saturn Awards back in March.

On Tuesday, Richards broke her silence about the death of her ex-boyfriend, writing on Instagram: ‘This is so hard for me to put into words. I am deeply heartbroken & devastated losing you. You were my best friend & my family.’

They also both star in the upcoming movie Dirty Hands, a new action-thriller scheduled for release this Friday.

Muldoon had been dating girlfriend Miriam Rothbart, a 53-year-old former entertainment lawyer and film producer, since the summer of 2023. His sister previously described her as ‘his life partner’ who is also ‘devastated’ over the news.

‘Patrick was a beautiful human being, but at the same time he was a mess,’ the first source said of Muldoon’s previous struggles while filming Days. ‘It seems like he’d managed to get his life together judging by the projects he was involved with recently.

‘You can’t help but wonder if his past wild lifestyle played some part in his death.’

Security Experts Alert: Scammers Exploit Safe Passage Promises in Strait of Hormuz

0

The Greek maritime risk management agency, MARISKS, sounded an alarm on Monday about a deceptive scheme involving impostors posing as Iranian officials. These scammers are enticing shipping companies with bogus assurances of secure navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, demanding cryptocurrency payments as a ransom in return.

At least one vessel reportedly fell victim to this con, only to be subsequently targeted by Iranian terrorist forces while trying to navigate the strait.

MARISKS revealed that these unidentified fraudsters are reaching out to shipowners, claiming to offer guaranteed safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz. In exchange, they demand “transit fees” to be paid in digital currencies, specifically Bitcoin or Tether.

“Upon submitting the necessary documents and after evaluation by the Iranian Security Services, we can determine the fee, payable in cryptocurrency (BTC or USDT). Only then will your vessel be allowed to pass through the strait at the agreed-upon time without hindrance,” one of the fraudulent communications highlighted by MARISKS stated.

“These specific messages are a scam,” the Greek security firm said.

The fraudsters are evidently preying on reports that Iran might attempt to charge a ransom or “toll” for safe passage, possibly ranging up to millions of dollars per ship.

“We in parliament are pursuing a plan under which countries will pay tolls and taxes to the Islamic Republic if the Strait of Hormuz is used as a secure route for transit, energy and food security,” Iranian lawmaker Somayeh Rafiei told the Iranian Students’ News Agency (ISNA) on March 19.

“The security of the strait will be established with strength, authority and grandeur by the Islamic Republic of Iran, and countries must pay a tax in return,” Rafiei said.

WATCH — Trump to Hormuz Strait Dependent Nations: Buy U.S. Oil or Find Some Courage and Open It Yourselves:

On April 9, Iranian officials claimed they had begun collecting ransom payments of $1 per barrel of oil from tankers passing through the strait. The fees were supposedly paid in cryptocurrency. The largest oil tankers can carry up to two million barrels of oil.

President Donald Trump said on April 12 that any ship paying tolls or ransom to Iran would be prevented by the U.S. Navy from passing through the Strait of Hormuz. The Iranian regime began denying reports that it had charged some Indian ships a fee for safe passage.

It would seem that at least one Indian ship, the oil tanker Sanmar Herald, paid for safe passage but was attacked by Iran’s terrorist Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) anyway. MARISKS warned that at least one ship may have fallen prey to the scammers, and it might well have been the Sanmar Herald.

On Saturday, NBC News broadcast radio transmissions from a crewman aboard the Sanmar Herald as it came under attack by Iranian gunboats. The crewman could be heard pleading with the IRGC Navy, also known as the Sepah Navy, to stop shooting and allow the ship to withdraw.

“Sepah Navy. Sepah Navy. This is motor tanker Sanmar Herald. You gave me clearance to go. My name is second on your list. You are firing now. Let me turn back,” the crewman said.

Iranian state media confirmed that two Indian ships, the Sanmar Herald and the bulk carrier Jag Arnav, were attacked by the IRGC. Both ships were said to be damaged in the attack. Both ships were bound for India, with the Sanmar Herald carrying oil from Iraq, while the Jag Arnav sailed from the port of Al Jubail in Saudi Arabia.

The Indian government summoned Iranian ambassador Mohammad Fathali after the incident to convey New Delhi’s “deep concern.”

Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri complained that Iran was previously willing to allow several ships heading for India to pass safely through the Strait of Hormuz, although he did not say whether or not India paid a ransom for the passage.

According to the Indian Foreign Ministry, Misri asked Iran to “resume at the earliest the process of facilitating India-bound ships across the Strait.”

Johnson City’s Downtown Parking Revamp Faces Delays: Latest Updates and Future Prospects

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) – Plans to transform a portion of West State of Franklin Road in downtown Johnson City into extra parking are temporarily on hold as city officials review the proposal.

The initiative, which was revealed on April 15, needs to be evaluated by the city planning commission before any progress can be made.

“There are regulations stating that any alteration of street dimensions, whether narrowing or widening, must be reviewed by the planning commission,” explained Cathy Ball, the city manager of Johnson City.

The suggested conversion would reduce West State of Franklin to a two-lane thoroughfare, necessitating a presentation at the planning commission meeting on June 9. Following this, it is expected to be forwarded to the city commission for final approval, after which construction can commence.

The new parking plan has some community members concerned, saying it may cause traffic on the roads surrounding the new lot.

However, city officials argue that the slowed traffic allows for a safer downtown.

“There’s always going to be traffic shifted, but some of the traffic will stay where it is, and they’ll be slow,” said Johnson City traffic engineering manager Anthony Todd. “There’ll be a bit more congestion in the area, but it’s going to slow it down so pedestrians can get across easier. What we do is we look at options to help us out when we notice that there’s problems. We found some areas where there were crashes with pedestrians, so we looked at what options we could do to try to improve that, to reduce the crossing distance and improving the turn on red, so it’s harder for people to get hit.”

However, the new lots are backed by business owners, who previously told News Channel 11 it accommodates a growing downtown scene.

The plan includes the reopening of a parking garage with space for nearly 350 vehicles.

During the garage’s first weekend opening, however, Johnson City assistant city manager Alicia Summers reported about only 50 vehicles occupied the garage for the weekend.

She said the city is working on ways to promote the new accommodation

“We’ve done a social media push to notify the public about the parking hours on a press release,” said Summers. “We’ve also added some additional signage. Alongside and on on the garage building itself. We’re looking at some other ways to try to promote some additional folks to park in the garage.”

Summers also said safety was a concern for business owners, residents and the city officials regarding the parking garage, now equipping the space with additional lighting and on-site security within its opening hours.

Ball said at the Tuesday afternoon meeting that the projected completion of the project is October of 2026.

Police Investigate Disturbing Text Exchange Between Parents Involving Son and Car

April Alexander (Adams County Sheriff’s Office).

A Mississippi woman has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly placing her 4-month-old son under a car and threatening his life in messages and videos sent to the child’s father, authorities report.

In the footage shared with the infant’s father, 27-year-old April Alexander reportedly tells her son, “Your daddy doesn’t want you,” according to The Natchez Democrat. The publication spoke with Natchez Police Chief Lee Best about the alarming texts and video evidence.

“We received a call from the father, who resides in California, indicating that she had been sending him threatening material,” Chief Best informed the newspaper.

Authorities allege that on Monday morning, Alexander texted the father while outside with their son. Alarmed, he contacted 911 and informed police about the disturbing messages, which he had shared on social media. These included photos supposedly showing their child partially placed under a vehicle.

One particularly disturbing image allegedly depicted Alexander with her foot on the baby’s stomach. These images have since been removed from social media.

“I’m finna put him on the ground and run him over,” Alexander allegedly told the father before snapping pics of their son underneath the car in question. “Dead a—,” she said, according to police.

The video Alexander allegedly sent showed her grabbing the victim by his face and yelling at him as he cried, per The Democrat. The baby was located by authorities and said to be safe, according to police.

Two other individuals, Jessica Griffin and Dandridge Coats, were taken into custody and charged with attempting to hide Alexander in their home. They are facing charges of hindering prosecution and rendering criminal assistance.

“Griffin and Coats attempted to hide out Alexander in their residence while officers were going door to door trying to locate her,” Best said. “Both were arrested once she was discovered inside.”

Child Protective Services has been contacted and is investigating what happened, with Best saying they are working to determine whether to release the child to a family member or leave him with CPS.

Tragic Double Murder: Activist Linked to Oprah and Biden Fatally Stabbed, Teacher Mother Ambushed in Peaceful Community

0

A typically serene neighborhood in Southern California has been thrust into turmoil following a tragic incident that occurred in the early hours of the morning. A brutal attack inside a family home has left a mother dead and her daughter in hospital care, while authorities have taken a suspect into custody.

The Burbank Police Department has apprehended 30-year-old Sergio Fraire in connection with the attack. He faces charges of murder and attempted murder. As of now, these charges await formal review by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.

The violent episode unfolded shortly after 6 a.m. on April 20, at a residence located on North Brighton Street in Burbank. Responding to an urgent call for assistance, officers arrived at the scene to discover a mother and her daughter suffering from stab wounds.

Emergency services swiftly transported both victims to a nearby hospital. Tragically, the mother, identified by police as 59-year-old Arti Varma, succumbed to her injuries. Her 25-year-old daughter, however, survived the attack and is reported to be in stable condition.

This incident has sent shockwaves through the otherwise peaceful community, as residents come to terms with the grim events that have unfolded in their midst.

Arti Varma’s daughter, Meera Varma, who survived the attack, is a nationally recognized mental health advocate and TEDx speaker, according to her personal website. She has worked alongside prominent figures, including Oprah Winfrey, President Joe Biden, Jill Biden, Kamala Harris and U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy.

Arti Varma was a first grade teacher at Bret Harte Elementary School, according to the school’s website. Fox News Digital reached out to the Burbank Unified School District.

“Ms. Varma was a deeply valued member of the Burbank Unified community. She was known not only for her dedication to teaching, but for the care, warmth and passion she brought to her work every day,” the district said in a statement, according to CBS.

“Her commitment to her students, her colleagues and the Bret Harte Elementary School community was evident in the relationships she built and the lasting impact she had on the lives of those she served. Her loss is felt profoundly across our district.”

“She was an amazing teacher,” family friend Cristina Strattan told ABC7. “She was such a bright light. Always so joyful.”

The violence has rattled residents in the typically quiet neighborhood, where neighbors say this kind of crime is rare.

“I’m still shocked,” Strattan told KTLA. “I can’t even wrap my head around who would do such a thing.”

Another neighbor, Victor Goli, told ABC7 the attack may have involved someone breaking into the home and said Meera was initially “fighting for her life” in the hospital.

Goli said Arti’s husband and Meera’s father was out of the country when it all happened.

“He couldn’t even speak. … He was crying,” Goli told ABC7.

Police said the arrest came after a daylong investigation that included interviewing witnesses, canvassing the neighborhood and reviewing surveillance video.

Around 10 p.m. Monday, SWAT officers served a search warrant at a residence on East Palm Avenue, where Fraire was believed to be staying. He was taken into custody without incident, and investigators said they recovered evidence linked to the crime.

Rhapsody Of Realities 22 April 2026: The Anointing Of The Christ In You

Rhapsody Of Realities 22 April 2026 By Pastor Chris Oyakhilome (Christ Embassy): The Anointing Of The Christ In You

TOPIC: The Anointing Of The Christ In You (Rhapsody of Realities 22 April 2026)

How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power… (Acts 10:38).

Rhapsody Of Realities For Today’s MESSAGE:

In Christ, we are distinguished by faith, calling, gifts, grace, and office; yet, it is the same anointing of the Holy Spirit that empowers us all. When you received the Holy Spirit, you were anointed with the anointing of the Christ. You don’t need a different anointing or a greater one; the anointing you received is the very same anointing that made Jesus the Christ. It’s the Holy Ghost Himself.

Acts 10:38 reveals that the Lord Jesus was anointed with the Holy Ghost and with power. This expression doesn’t imply two separate anointings. In the language of the prophets and the apostles, two phrases may be used to describe the same reality. To be anointed with the Holy Ghost is to be anointed with power.

In Acts 1:8, the Lord Jesus said, “…ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you….” Power comes with the Spirit. When the Holy Ghost came into you, you were endued with divine ability from on high. You were consecrated and separated unto God for His purpose.

Through the Spirit, you now understand the mysteries and realities of the Kingdom. You see and understand life beyond human intellect and perspective because you possess the wisdom of the Spirit. You’re empowered to do the work of God and live the supernatural life.

The same Spirit teaches you, strengthens you, and equips you to walk in the glory and righteousness of Christ, as you fulfill your calling in Him. So, every day, walk in the consciousness of the divine presence and ability of the Spirit at work in you.

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for anointing me with the Holy Spirit and with power. I walk in the consciousness of your presence and ability in me. I’m empowered to fulfil my calling and function in the fullness of your grace, producing results that bring you glory, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY

Acts 1:8 (AMPC) But you shall receive power (ability, efficiency, and might) when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria and to the ends (the very bounds) of the earth.

Luke 24:49 (KJV) And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

1 John 2:27 (KJV) But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

REMINDER!!! JESUS IS COMING SOON

ARE YOU BORN AGAIN? IF NO, WHY NOT ACCEPT JESUS NOW!

Accept Jesus Christ today and secure a life of eternal rest and Glory by saying this short prayer below:

Lord Jesus, I believe you died for my sins, Forgive me of all my iniquities. I accept you as my Lord and Saviour from today and forever.

Come and Be the Lord of my life and I am willing to obey Your command and live according to Your will by Your Grace, Thank you for accepting me into Your fold

AMEN!!! John 6:37…and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

UK Set to Implement Permanent Smoking Ban for Post-2008 Generation

0

Under groundbreaking new legislation in Britain, individuals younger than 18 will be permanently prohibited from legally buying cigarettes, ensuring they never have the chance to purchase tobacco throughout their lives.

This law, which recently received approval from both the House of Commons and the House of Lords, aims to establish a “smoke-free generation” by preventing the sale of tobacco to anyone born post-2008.

Once the bill secures Royal Assent, British officials will gain enhanced authority to control the flavors, packaging, and marketing of vaping and nicotine products, thereby reducing their allure to young people.

The BBC highlights that this legislation is part of a broader initiative to combat smoking, the leading cause of preventable death and disability in the UK.

Health Secretary Wes Streeting praised the decision, calling it a historic milestone for the nation.

He stated that prevention is better than cure and that this reform will save lives while easing pressure on the NHS to build a healthier Britain.

In the House of Lords, Health Minister Baroness Merron echoed this sentiment during the final stages of the debate on Monday.

She told peers that it is the biggest public health intervention in a generation and assured all noble Lords that it will save lives.

New restrictions on vaping

While the headline focus is the generational tobacco ban, the laws also tighten the screws on vaping.

Use of e-cigarettes will now be banned in cars carrying children, in playgrounds, outside schools, and at hospitals.

However, the laws stop short of a total outdoor ban, as pub gardens, beaches, and private residences are currently excluded from the new restrictions.

Vaping would also still be allowed outside hospitals in a bid to support those trying to quit.

This approach met with some pushback during the parliamentary process. Lord Naseby, a Conservative peer, noted that the bill does upset a great many people in that industry, including small retailers.

He argued that what is really needed is a proper understanding of how to educate people not to take up smoking.

Baroness Merron responded by assuring Lord Naseby that the government has worked closely with retailers and will continue to do so.

How it compares to Australia

While the UK’s “sliding age” tobacco ban is globally unique, its approach to vaping remains significantly more relaxed than the stringent regime currently in place in Australia.

Here, the federal government has effectively moved to end the retail sale of all vapes outside of a clinical setting.

In Australia, vapes are treated strictly as therapeutic goods rather than consumer products. It is illegal for any non-pharmacy retailer to sell vaping products, and the country has implemented a total ban on the importation of disposable, single-use vapes regardless of nicotine content.

While the UK is just now gaining the power to regulate flavours, Australia has already restricted them to tobacco, menthol, and mint to strip away the “candy-coated” appeal to children.

Australia has also long sought to discourage cigarette smoking through some of the world’s highest taxes, with a standard pack now often exceeding $50.

However, critics say these dual pressures – sky-high prices and strict anti-vaping measures – have allowed black market products to flourish.

A call for industry accountability

Advocacy groups have welcomed the UK’s progress but are already calling for more.

Sarah Sleet from Asthma + Lung UK said the legislation promised to transform the nation’s health.

She noted that now that the groundbreaking bill is finally over the line, there is a chance to go further to protect public health and hold the tobacco industry to account.

“Right now we have a postcode lottery, which is why the tobacco industry should pay through a levy to reduce the harm they cause by funding these crucial services across the UK,” she told the BBC.

Explosive RHOBH Drama: Teddi Mellencamp Reveals Dorit’s Bold Ultimatum to Erika

Teddi Mellencamp has shed new light on the contentious moment when Dorit Kemsley used a derogatory term to describe Erika Jayne. Teddi, who is close friends with both Erika and Kyle Richards, also revealed that Dorit was aware of Erika’s recent struggles with domestic violence before their heated argument aired. Tamra Judge chimed in, labeling Dorit as “self-centered.”

Teddi Mellencamp Shares What Led to Dorit Calling Erika Jayne the C-Word on RHOBH, Claims She Had Prior Knowledge of DV as Tamra Calls Dorit “Self-Centered”

Credit: Instagram

In a recent episode of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, tensions flared between Dorit and Erika during a group trip to Italy. As Erika opened up about her personal difficulties, Dorit appeared puzzled by her situation. At one point, Dorit bluntly remarked, “When I said you need to work and you need to contribute, I didn’t mean you need to be a c***.” [Emphasis added.]

Dorit’s comment about Erika’s need to work seemed to suggest that Erika’s role on the show was under scrutiny.

During an episode of Two Ts in a Pod, Teddi offered further insight into the situation, hinting that Dorit had previously suggested to Erika that she needed to intensify her on-screen presence to maintain her place on the show.

On Two Ts in a Pod, Teddi provided more context to the quote. She suggested that Dorit, at some point in the past, implied to Erika that she must amp things up on camera in order to keep her job.

“[Dorit] has told Erika [in the past], ‘You’re going to lose your job if you don’t get to work,’” said Teddi, who then seemed to imply that Dorit thinks Kyle lets her friends do the heavy lifting on camera. “And then Dorit’s like, ‘That’s what she wants, [for] you guys to step in and do it for her.’”

“And then implying that Kyle is the one that gets people hired and fired on this show,” Teddi continued, referring to Dorit’s suggestion at the reunion that Kyle can get her castmates fired. “If that was the case, I would still be on it.”

Later on, Teddi claimed that Dorit was aware of Erika’s terrifying experience.

“[As for] Erika’s DV situation … I for certain know that Dorit knows about that,” she said, via @byewighellodrama on Instagram. “So, Dorit acting like, why has Erika had a bad year?”

“She knew what Erika had gone through,” echoed Tamra.

“But I think that just shows how much Dorit is not paying attention to what her friends are going through,” Teddi went on. “I mean, that’s a major thing to go through. … If you heard that information, it’s not something you forget.”

According to Tamra, Dorit is being “very self-centered.” Later on, Tamra addressed Dorit’s friend Boz Saint John, saying, “What is it with Boz hating Kyle?”

“Boz is out to stir it,” said Teddi. “I thought Rachel was stirring it, but Boz is out there … doing the Lord’s work for freaking Dorit.”

New episodes of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills air on Thursday nights on Bravo.

Anna Kepner’s Stepbrother Absent from Court as Legal Team Submits Not Guilty Plea

0

The 16-year-old stepbrother implicated in the tragic death of Florida cheerleader Anna Kepner on a cruise ship will not be present for his scheduled court appearance this Wednesday. As prosecutors intensify their efforts to secure his imprisonment, Timothy Hudson has opted to waive his attendance at the arraignment in Miami’s federal court.

Instead, his legal team will enter a not guilty plea on his behalf, according to a report by Fox 35 Orlando. This move allows the legal proceedings to continue without his physical presence.

The teenager faces serious federal charges as an adult, including aggravated sexual abuse and first-degree murder, related to Kepner’s death in November 2025. Her lifeless body was discovered in a cabin on the Carnival Horizon cruise ship.

Authorities assert that Hudson was the sole individual with Kepner, aged 18, at the time she succumbed to manual asphyxiation.

Initially charged as a minor, Hudson was released under strict conditions. He is in the care of an uncle and must adhere to a no-contact order with minors and submit to GPS tracking.

But since the case was transferred to adult court, prosecutors are asking for Hudson to be held in custody pending his trial – arguing in court documents that he is a danger to himself and others.

‘The evidence demonstrated the offense conduct the Defendant engaged in involves the most serious, egregious and violative crimes one person can inflict upon another,’ prosecutors argued, according to Florida Today.

‘He committed these crimes against a victim with whom he had no apparent relational strife and whom he was being raised to view as a sibling.’

Prosecutors also argued that he ‘carried out these crimes without any warning he could commit such atrocious acts and despite an apparent supportive family environment.’

They also noted that Hudson is currently living in a home where minor children reside.

But Hudson’s defense attorneys said in their own motion on Monday that their client has not violated the terms of his release order.

They argued that prosecutors were only seeking to detain him ‘because the government believes that it can prove by clear and convincing evidence that Hudson is a danger to the community despite his compliance with the release order and the availability of additional restraints on his liberty.’

The defense has also filed a motion seeking any pretrial detention hearings to be heard by the judge who allowed Hudson to remain free even after the case was transferred on April 10 to adult status.

If he were to be convicted of first-degree murder and aggravated sexual abuse, Hudson could now face decades behind bars – although mandatory life-without-parole sentences for juveniles were deemed unconstitutional by the Supreme Court in 2012.

Prosecutors noted Hudson was being raised to view Kepner as a sister as they argued for him to be restrained ahead of his trial

Anna, of Titusville, Florida, was pronounced dead at 11.17am on November 7 while the 133,000-ton Carnival Horizon was en route from Mexico to Florida.

The Daily Mail was the first outlet to report that her body was found stuffed under a bed in the cabin she was sharing with her stepbrother and 14-year-old half-brother.

She had been wrapped in a blanket and covered with life preservers, according to our sources.

Anna had gone to bed early the night before, telling her family during dinner that she was feeling unwell.

While her half-brother wandered around the ship taking photos, she was left alone with her stepbrother who takes medication for ADHD and insomnia.

When the younger boy returned, he didn’t see Anna but assumed she was staying up late with her father, Christopher, her stepmother Shauntel, or their grandparents Jeffrey and Barbara Kepner.

He climbed into his bunk and went to sleep – unaware, sources say, that his sister’s body was hidden just feet away.

It wasn’t until the next morning when the two boys headed to breakfast that the family realized Anna was missing.

At that point, a medical emergency was announced over the ship’s public address system, prompting Christopher, 41, to rush to her Deck 8 cabin, where a cleaning crew had just discovered the body.

A law enforcement source later told ABC that Anna died from asphyxiation caused by a bar hold, suggesting an arm was pressed across her neck.

FBI agents swarmed the ship, interviewed the family and scoured CCTV cameras when the Horizon returned to Miami on November 8.

Timothy insisted he could not remember what took place in the cabin, according to sources.

But the boy’s alleged involvement leaked out in court filings in a custody dispute between Shauntel and her ex-husband Thomas Hudson, 37.

They both referred to their son as a ‘suspect’ in court documents – with one filing describing bubbly Anna’s death as a ‘suspected murder’.

Thomas had sought emergency custody of their young daughter, claiming Shauntel took the kids on the ill-fated cruise without his permission – and even let the older children drink alcohol, an accusation she denied.

A Brevard County judge ruled that the girl was not in any danger and could remain with Shauntel and Christopher so long as Timothy was living elsewhere.

But in an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail, Christopher said his family is outraged by the court’s decision to let Timothy Hudson live with a relative instead of being locked up ahead of his federal trial.

He also said the boy is yet to apologize or show any sign of remorse for killing bubbly 18-year-old Anna.

‘We’re upset that he’s still out. We’re six months in and he should already have been arrested and yet he’s free to do whatever he wants right now,’ Christopher told the Daily Mail.

‘That’s our problem. He’s been able to do whatever he wants and go where he wants but the family’s been sitting here unable to do anything.

‘I want to see him in an orange jumpsuit and handcuffs. He does not need to be free. He does not need to be in the general public, around any kids or women in general.

‘He’s in a danger to himself and a danger to others.’
