Aviana Olea Le Gallo created a buzz this summer when she appeared with her mom at the Cape Fear premiere. Observers couldn’t help but notice her uncanny resemblance to Scarlett Johansson.

One was initially fooled into believing she was Johansson: ‘I did think she was Scarlett,’ they wrote.

Aviana is Adams’s and only child with husband Darren Le Gallo and the couple have made an effort to shield her from the public eye for most of her childhood. 

The youngster is now considering pursuing a career in Hollywood much like her mother. 

‘I think we’ll see what she’s up for,’ Adams recently told People.

‘I know she’s interested in production as a whole, so we’ll see what avenue she decides to focus on.’

Over the last few months, Aviana has begun joining her mother at high-profile events, with her first appearance being in March at Lacoste’s show during Paris Fashion Week.

During the press tour for her film Nightb**ch in 2024, Adams shared with PEOPLE how much she loves having her daughter accompany her as well as how ‘sweet’ she is.

‘It was really great to share that with her. I just love her!’ she said of Aviana attending the film’s Toronto Film Festival premiere.

‘I get really nervous about public speaking, and she’s never been around me [in those moments]. She was like, ‘Mom, you do this all the time. You got this!’ She was supporting me, it was so sweet.’

Adams also shared that Aviana previously discouraged her from ‘wearing make-up’ on the red carpet.

‘She’s like, ‘I just want you to look like Mom, not like Amy Adams.’ And I was like, ‘You got it,”’ she recalled.

‘So there were years where I didn’t wear make-up wherever we went. I mean, I sneaked some mascara.

Adams told Allure in 2016 that the couple decided to finally get married because Aviana ‘wanted a family wedding.’

‘We always had the commitment, but now he’s stuck with me and I can really act out. I’m kidding,’ she told The Times following their nuptials.

‘The truth is, I feel a stronger sense of family, a bigger sense of permanence, which is a nice thing for me.’

In response to these allegations, Shake Shack, a prominent fast-food chain located in Utah, USA, has refuted the viral claims suggesting that their self-checkout kiosks penalize customers who opt not to tip.

The TikTok video showcases the couple at a Shake Shack, where they specifically use the self-service kiosk to order three milkshakes. This video quickly gained traction, raising questions about the tipping system.

As the video unfolds, the man explains to the audience, “My wife says that if you don’t tip at Shake Shack, they make it more expensive per item, so we’re about to find out.” This statement set the stage for the demonstration that followed.

The video then continues with the couple ordering milkshakes — in strawberry, vanilla, and cookies and cream flavors — priced at $5.99 each, or $6.48 if they added whipped cream. When they opted for “no tip” upon checkout, an unexpected error message appeared on the screen.

“Uh oh! There has been a pricing update on one or more of your cart items. Please review these changes in your cart,” it read.

The duo reviewed their order and saw the price of each milkshake went up by 50 cents.

Shake Shack responded to the video, which has more than 424,000 likes and the comments turned off, saying a technical issue with a licensee kiosk operator caused the issue.

“It is not Shake Shack policy, nor that of our licensees, to increase the price of menu items when no tip is added,” a spokesperson for the company told Fox News.

The company said the issue has been fixed.

The video was taken at a Shake Shack location in the Salt Lake City International Airport, according to Yahoo News.

Rising Death Toll in Colombian Earthquake Spurs Community-Led Recovery Efforts

Throughout the night in western Colombia, a determined coalition of rescuers, military personnel, and volunteers tirelessly sifted through the wreckage of collapsed apartments and office buildings. Their mission: to save lives following Colombia’s most powerful earthquake in a century, which claimed at least 241 lives and displaced countless others.

In the cities of Pereira and Cali, residents sought refuge in parks, uneasy as aftershocks continued to shake already ravaged neighborhoods, where entire blocks now lay in ruins.

With cranes, sniffer dogs, and heavy machinery, emergency teams combed through the debris. Meanwhile, volunteers linked arms to form human chains, painstakingly clearing away rubble by hand to reach those still trapped beneath the wreckage.

According to municipal authorities, the quake, measuring 7.4 in magnitude, left more than 1,670 people injured.

The disaster stretched the country’s health system to its limits, marking one of Colombia’s most extensive disaster response efforts in recent memory.

“The house came down on top of us. I wasn’t able to get out,” said Beatriz Arcos, who was trapped with her husband and mother beneath their collapsed condominium.

“It took about an hour to get us out.”

Arcos said she was hospitalised after a concrete block fell on her back. Her husband and mother were also injured.

In Cali, residents armed with picks, shovels and their bare hands joined firefighters in digging through collapsed buildings.

Rescuers stopped every few minutes to call into the rubble and listen for any response.

“One of the rescuers asked anyone trapped to whistle, and someone whistled back,” volunteer Andres Felipe Mejia said.

Rescuers later pulled a man and a baby from a flattened building, though the man’s wife remained trapped, he said.

In Pereira, army units and sniffer dogs combed through twisted concrete and exposed steel.

At one site, a rescue squad leader abruptly raised his fist, stopping workers so they could listen for signs of life.

Volunteers formed human chains, passing bricks and chunks of masonry hand-to-hand to clear paths into collapsed structures.

‘So much effort’

For many families, the desperate search was becoming a vigil.

“My aunt lived there. She’s under the rubble,” said Jorge Gonzalez, standing beside a collapsed building in Pereira.

“I arrived yesterday and I haven’t left, and until they find her body I don’t intend to leave here.”

While some families waited for news of missing relatives, others were grappling with the loss of homes, possessions and livelihoods.

“We lost everything,” said Stella Galvis, fighting back tears after escaping the collapse of her home.

“We survived by a miracle, since I managed to get my little boy out and my partner managed to get out too.”

From the air, neighbourhoods in Cali appeared flattened, with piles of grey rubble replacing entire blocks of homes and apartment buildings.

Nearby, cars lay crushed beneath fallen walls and concrete slabs.

On one mound of debris, a young couple climbed over broken masonry searching for belongings.

They recovered a box from inside a child’s bright red bedside table.

Many survivors spent the night outdoors, either because their homes were damaged or because they feared aftershocks.

One park in Pereira was transformed into a makeshift shelter with tents and mattresses.

“We lost everything, but we’re alive,” said 23-year-old John Tabasco, who was camped there with his wife and seven-month-old son.

“We’ve never had to do this before, to depend on someone else to help us. It’s amazing how life can change.”

Others struggled to come to terms with losing homes built over decades.

“You buy a little house with so much effort, spending 40, 50 years struggling to get yourself that house, you finally get it and in just a few days it all goes down the drain,” said 79-year-old Jaime Alzate.

In Cali, part of the Hospital Universitario del Valle collapsed during the quake, forcing doctors to move patients into a parking lot and treat some in the open air.

Three floors housing paediatric, internal medicine and neonatal services ultimately gave way, reducing the hospital’s capacity from 590 to 350 patients.

Yet amid the destruction, many Colombians mobilised to help.

Thousands brought water, food and supplies to affected neighbourhoods, while long lines formed outside blood donation centres.

“It’s about wanting to help your community, your city and your country,” said blood donor Ferney Cabrera.

President Abelardo de la Espriella declared a state of emergency and promised rent subsidies for affected families on Tuesday during a visit to Pereira.

The United States announced $15.5 million ($22 million) in emergency aid, while messages of support and offers of assistance arrived from around the world.

As aftershocks continued to rattle damaged cities, rescue crews pressed on through the ruins, hoping more voices, taps or whistles might still emerge.

Open Heaven 12 August 2026 MESSAGE

Referencing the example I gave in the first paragraph of yesterday’s teaching, if God gives you an assignment, He will provide you with the resources you need to execute it. Some of those resources will be around you, and others will be within you. As we see in today’s memory verse, to whom much is given, much is expected, so the more resources God gives you, the more results He expects from you.

People who feel that God has not given them enough resources must be careful that they do not become like the servant who despised the talent his master gave him, as we read in today’s Bible reading. Some people feel that the resources they have are insufficient and try to wait for God to give them something better or more before they can start being faithful with the little they have. Beloved, this is a wrong mindset. A person who cannot be faithful with what he or she has received should not expect to receive more. God only gives more to those who have proven themselves faithful in little things.

I hail from a village that was not on the map. My father was so poor that people who were also poor called him poor. Even though my parents were poor and I did not have many resources growing up, God gave me one talent, and that is my brain. I used the talent God gave me very effectively by studying diligently, and gradually, I acquired many more resources with it. The Lord gave me salvation in 1973, and from that point onward, I became a very useful vessel in His hands. When I reflect on the great things God has enabled me to achieve despite the limited resources I started out with, I always praise the Lord for His faithfulness. Indeed, when a fellow is faithful with little, more will be committed to him or her.

Child of God, look around and within you, and you will see all the great gifts that God has given to you. Don’t fail Him; please, use those gifts to win more souls to the Kingdom of God. Use them to gain so much influence that when you speak, people will be willing to listen and serve the same God that you serve. I pray that the Almighty God will use you to accomplish mighty things in His Kingdom as you serve Him faithfully with the gifts He has given you, in Jesus’ name.

FRUITLAND PARK, Fla. – Tragedy struck in Fruitland Park when an Amazon delivery driver was found unresponsive and later pronounced dead inside her delivery vehicle, as reported by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

The alarming discovery was made on Monday evening after a local resident became concerned about the Amazon truck parked for hours at the edge of his driveway.

Patrick Miranda, who resides in the vicinity, reached out to authorities via the sheriff’s office non-emergency line upon noticing the vehicle remained in operation.

“The phone was still connected, a backpack was visible, and the truck was running,” Miranda recalled. “It was unusual to see it abandoned like that.”

Surveillance footage from Miranda’s residence captured the swift arrival of deputies and Lake County Fire Rescue at the scene, with one frame revealing the Amazon truck’s side door ajar.

Miranda said a deputy initially opened the passenger-side door and appeared to react to fumes before opening the rear doors and finding the woman unconscious.

“The police officer opened the passenger side front and he had some fumes, he had to reel back from,” Miranda said. “Then he opened the back, the sliding doors, and she was lying there in the back unconscious.”

Miranda said he later saw one of the deputies step away from the truck and appear lightheaded.

“I’m not sure if there were fumes from either the vent, if there’s a package,” Miranda said. “There was a lot of speculation at the time from both the officers and the other people involved.”

Because of concerns about potentially toxic substances, Miranda said firefighters wearing gas masks responded and the area around the truck was secured.

He also said the woman was sprayed with a fire hose before paramedics began life-saving measures.

“Because they were worried about toxic chemicals, I remember they did use a fire hose to rinse her off to make sure there was nothing on her clothes or person,” Miranda said. “But immediately after that, they were using life-saving measures.”

The woman was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead, according to the sheriff’s office.

The cause of death has not been determined.

“Detectives with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Bureau are continuing to investigate this incident,” the sheriff’s office said.

Miranda said fire rescue crews remained at the scene for several hours, including conducting what appeared to be an examination and cleanup of the delivery vehicle.

The identity of the driver has not been released.

Amazon released this statement to News 6:

“We’re deeply saddened by this tragic incident, and our thoughts and prayers are with the driver’s loved ones during this difficult time. We’re cooperating fully with local authorities in their investigation.”

In a dramatic and tragic escalation, an Ohio man embroiled in a bar altercation tried to shield his sister but ended up turning the incident into a nightmare.

Twenty-two-year-old Joseph Howard faced the justice system in July, where he was convicted on serious charges including murder, aggravated murder, aggravated robbery, felonious assault, and evidence tampering. The conclusion of the trial saw Howard receive a life sentence on August 6, though he could be eligible for parole after 49 years. This verdict emerged nearly three years following a deadly shooting at a Columbus bar, prompted by Howard ordering 24-year-old Tavia Copley to back away from his sister, Taya Mollette, also 24, before firing his weapon.

Tragically, the confrontation resulted in both women succumbing to gunshot injuries, while Howard managed to evade immediate capture by fleeing to Florida.

According to the court’s documentation, Howard’s penalties were severe. He received a sentence of 30 years to life for the aggravated murder of Copley, 15 years to life for Mollette’s murder, and additional terms spanning 8 to 12 years for assaulting another individual named Brumfield. His punishment also included 5 to 7.5 years for aggravated robbery, 24 months for tampering with evidence, and an additional six years specifically added for firearm specifications.

Derrick Parker, a former detective with the NYPD who gained notoriety as the “Hip-Hop Cop” during the rap explosion of the 1990s, has passed away at the age of 65.

His brother, Ralph, confirmed to News Media that Derrick passed away unexpectedly on July 24 at a hospital in Nassau County, New York. The cause of his death remains undisclosed.

A funeral service is planned for Thursday at J Foster Phillips Funeral Home located in Jamaica, New York.

In the bustling 1990s, Derrick J. Parker led the NYPD’s rap intelligence unit during a time when New York City’s hip-hop scene saw a meteoric rise. He kept tabs on famous artists and their entourages visiting the city. He often shared his insights and techniques for curbing music industry violence with law enforcement agencies in cities like Miami and Atlanta.

He also served as a homicide and cold case detective during a career that spanned more than 20 years and worked alongside the US Marshals, the ATF, the DEA and the FBI, according to his website.

“You have to watch and see who’s coming to your city. Who’s there and who’s what,” he told News Media in a 2024 interview. “We can’t track everybody, but when certain people come to the city, you should know who, especially certain people that are on your radar. That’s the way I look at it.”

Much of the job, he said, involved keeping law enforcement and nightclub management aware of who was going where in order to avoid potential confrontations between rival groups.

He played a role in the 1999 investigation into the Club New York shooting where music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs was charged but later acquitted. Pop superstar Jennifer Lopez was also briefly detained and released.

Parker said his approach to policing the hip-hop world wasn’t to come down hard on its stars.

“I was the law, so he was always friendly,” he later said of Combs. “I’m never hard on these guys. They know what they get into. They know what trouble they have.”

Parker wrote a book about his experiences, “Notorious C.O.P.: The Inside Story of the Tupac, Biggie and Jam Master Jay Investigations from the NYPD’s First ‘Hip-Hop Cop.'” The book chronicled his involvement in investigations surrounding three of hip-hop’s most notorious killings: Tupac Shakur, Christopher Wallace, who performed as the Notorious B.I.G. and Jam Master Jay, the Run-DMC DJ whose real name was Jason Mizell.

It would be decades before Mizell’s killers went on trial. Parker was on the witness stand.

After Parker retired from the NYPD in 2002, he worked in security for large events and executive protection applying the same philosophy of knowing who would be going where to avoid conflicts.

He also became a frequent media commentator on high-profile cases involving figures and venues he had encountered during his NYPD career, including Combs’ sex-trafficking trial last year and even the wedding between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce at Madison Square Garden.

He had also told News Media that he hoped to write a follow-up book.

“I want to really tell a big, big story about a lot of stuff,” he said.

“We were supposed to go out to dinner for my birthday,” Ralph Parker told News Media. “He’s like, ‘Oh, we’re gonna go out and eat. Your birthday’s coming, don’t worry about it.’ Well, I won’t be able to go eat with him.”
