A tornado scare in Kansas City has prompted the Australian women’s rugby union team to take refuge in a hotel hallway.

The Wallaroos are currently in Missouri, gearing up for Saturday’s match against the US as part of the Pacific Four Series, which also includes Canada and New Zealand.

On Monday evening, just after the team had finished dinner and were getting ready to retire for the night, a sudden alarm blared through the hotel’s speakers.

Guests were instructed to move to hallways or stairwells, away from windows, due to a nearby tornado warning.

Hotel guests were advised to move to hallways or stairwells away from any windows as a tornado had been reported nearby.

Debris can shatter windows during a tornado and cause serious injury.

A touring staff member said that amid the warning, a huge storm had been unfolding in the darkness outside.

The group could hear howling noises and thunder as they took cover.

The Wallaroos had trained earlier in the day in abnormally hot and windy conditions, a telltale sign of an approaching tornado.

The conditions were strong enough to leave some players with windburn following the afternoon session.

The playing group is believed to have remained in good spirits throughout the ordeal, but interim coach Sam Needs was a little worried by the unfamiliar situation unfolding outside.

After about an hour, the hotel made another announcement that guests could return to their rooms but should remain on alert until 11pm local time.

The storm passed without seriously damaging the area immediately around the hotel, but left thousands without power elsewhere.

The Wallaroos are hopeful they can tour Arrowhead Stadium on Wednesday to meet the NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs as planned.

But storms are predicted to continue throughout the week and could jeopardise those plans and Saturday night’s game itself.

If the game against the USA is cancelled, the teams are likely to share competition points rather than contest a rescheduled match.

The tornado comes after the Wallaroos’ match against Canada in Sacramento was delayed for 80 minutes due to storms over the weekend.

A sizeable crowd had to be evacuated from the match and was not permitted re-entry over safety concerns.

Second on the world rankings, Canada beat the Wallaroos 24-0 but the Aussies appear a better chance against the USA.

‘Expecting a pretty confident side,’ scrum-half Sam Wood said prior to the tornado warning.

‘More of the focus is on us this week to make sure we’re nailing our jobs, especially around attack, finding the seams we need to find.

‘Really looking forward to getting on the field.’

Remembering Sid Krofft: The Creative Genius Behind ‘H.R. Pufnstuf’ and Iconic Children’s TV, Passes at 96

0

Sid Krofft, the imaginative genius from Canada who, alongside his brother Marty Krofft, brought to life iconic television shows like the beloved children’s series “H.R. Pufnstuf,” has passed away at the age of 96. His remarkable career in entertainment, characterized by whimsical creativity and enduring charm, leaves a lasting legacy.

The news of Krofft’s passing, occurring three years after the death of his brother and creative partner Marty, was shared on Instagram by his friend and business associate Kelly Killian. While specific details surrounding his death remain scarce, Killian’s heartfelt tribute speaks volumes about their cherished bond.

Marty Krofft, the creator of iconic children’s TV shows including “H.R. Pufnstuf,” “Land of the Lost,” “Lidsville” and “The Bugaloos,” has died. He was 86.

“The last six years of my life were devoted to him, and his to me,” Killian expressed. “In that time, he taught me more than I could ever put into words – about the art of Hollywood, the magic of the stage, and the depth and complexity of human nature. I wish so very much that I had more time with him.”

The Krofft brothers were masters of puppetry and storytelling, creating a world that included unforgettable characters like the bumbling Weenie the Genie and the dynamic duo Donny and Marie Osmond. Their work resonated with audiences, particularly through the quirky and colorful “H.R. Pufnstuf.”

This live-action puppet series, with its catchy theme song and peculiar characters, became a cultural touchstone. The show, though it aired only 17 episodes in 1969, left a lasting impact, featuring the lovable dragon Pufnstuf, who served as the Mayor of Living Island, and the mischievous Wilhelmina W. Witchiepoo, known for her signature Vroom Broom. Its enduring popularity was affirmed when it was ranked 27th in a 2007 TV Guide poll of all-time cult favorites, continuing to captivate audiences through reruns and syndication.

Other Krofft productions included “Land of the Lost,” “Electra Woman and Dyna Girl” and “Pryor’s Place,” featuring comedian Richard Pryor. Their children’s shows were so far-flung at times that critics suspected the Kroffts were under the influence of drugs – allegations the brothers rejected – but they also oversaw such wholesome programming as the “Donny & Marie,” the Osmonds’ 1970s variety show.

The Kroffts received a Daytime Emmy for lifetime achievement in 2018, and a Hollywood Walk of Fame star two years later.

Rhapsody Of Realities 13 April 2026: The Ultimate Blessing Of The New Testament

Rhapsody Of Realities 13 April 2026 By Pastor Chris Oyakhilome (Christ Embassy): The Ultimate Blessing Of The New Testament

TOPIC: The Ultimate Blessing Of The New Testament (Rhapsody of Realities 13 April 2026)

Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law…That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith (Galatians 3:13-14).

Rhapsody Of Realities For Today’s MESSAGE:

The latter part of what we just read helps us to understand that the ultimate blessing of Abraham wasn’t diamonds, gold, land, or cattle; it was the Spirit. Through Jesus Christ, the promise of the Spirit has now come to us who believe. He lives in us, works through us, walks in us, and empowers us daily. This is the greatest treasure of the New Testament; the Holy Spirit in you!

He’s the seal of our inheritance, the proof that we belong to God. He’s not a shadow or a force; He’s a divine Person who walks with you and lives in you. His presence is what makes the Christian life supernatural, victorious and exciting. You need to be more aware of His power that’s at work within you.

Ephesians 1:19-20 talks about the exceeding greatness of His mighty power at work in you: “And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead….” Hallelujah! There’s no need to pray for power, strength, or wisdom because the Holy Spirit, who is Himself wisdom, strength, and the source of all power and divine guidance, is already resident in you.

You’re never without help. The same Spirit that raised the Lord Jesus from the dead lives in you. This is the fulfilment of God’s eternal plan. The prophets longed to see it. The patriarchs anticipated it. But you’re living it: “Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints…which is Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:26-27).

Christianity without the Holy Spirit is religion. But with Him, it’s a divine adventure. He makes the Word come alive, fills your prayer with power, and transforms you from glory to glory. Acknowledge Him. Yield to Him, and fellowship with Him always. He’s the ultimate blessing of the New Testament.

PRAYER

Righteous Father, thank you for the blessing of the Holy Spirit who lives in me, strengthens me, leads me, and guides me to walk in supernatural wisdom, power and dominion. And by His mighty power at work in me, I’m effective in soul winning and my faith prevails always. Your love, grace and blessings are manifested in and revealed through me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY

Ephesians 1:13-14 (NKJV) In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, [14] who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.

Romans 8:11 (KJV) But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

John 14:16-17 (KJV) And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; [17] Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

REMINDER!!! JESUS IS COMING SOON

ARE YOU BORN AGAIN? IF NO, WHY NOT ACCEPT JESUS NOW!

Accept Jesus Christ today and secure a life of eternal rest and Glory by saying this short prayer below:

Lord Jesus, I believe you died for my sins, Forgive me of all my iniquities. I accept you as my Lord and Saviour from today and forever.

Come and Be the Lord of my life and I am willing to obey Your command and live according to Your will by Your Grace, Thank you for accepting me into Your fold

AMEN!!! John 6:37…and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

Molotov Cocktail Incident at Sam Altman’s Residence Raises Concerns Over Potential Copycat Attacks on Tech Leaders

0

The recent predawn attack on Sam Altman’s San Francisco residence, involving a Molotov cocktail, has underscored a troubling rise in anti-tech extremism. This incident has raised alarms among federal authorities, who fear it may inspire similar acts against prominent tech executives.

On Monday, San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins made it clear that her office intends to pursue charges against the suspect, Daniel Moreno-Gama, with full vigor. She highlighted the alarming rise in tensions surrounding artificial intelligence as a catalyst for this dangerous act.

“We are committed to prosecuting this case to the fullest extent of the law,” Jenkins stated. She urged the public to reconsider the often inflammatory language used in debates about the future of artificial intelligence and its societal implications.

As the investigation unfolds, Jenkins emphasized that ideological differences should never lead to violence.

Suspect carries kerosene jug outside OpenAI San Francisco HQ

Authorities revealed that Daniel Moreno-Gama was apprehended on April 10, 2026, at the OpenAI headquarters in San Francisco. He was found in possession of incendiary devices, a container of kerosene, a blue lighter, and a document, according to investigators.

“In no way should we be at the point where a man could have lost his life over differences of opinion and concerns,” she said. “We must, as I’ve said before, about political rhetoric, turn down the temperature of our discussions and engage in healthy dialogue.”

The use of incendiary weapons marks an escalation in the severity of the crime, according to Josh Schirard, the law enforcement director for weapons company Byrna and a former Galveston County police captain.

“While an unprovoked attack on any person is a serious criminal offense, the use of explosive and incendiary devices puts it into a whole new category,” Schirard told Fox News Digital.

Schirard said that despite their often crude construction, Molotov cocktails carry heavy legal weight. Under federal law, mere possession of such a device is punishable by up to 10 years in prison. When those devices are actually deployed, the legal consequences become even more severe.

“In a case like this, where an explosive device was deployed in an apparent attempt to target an individual, sentencing exposure could reach decades,” Schirard said.

U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of California Craig Missakian warned that the investigation could expand to include a domestic terrorism charge if a political motive is established.

“We are at the beginning of this investigation, but if the evidence shows that Mr. Moreno Gama executed these attacks to change public policy or to coerce government or other officials, we will treat this as an act of domestic terrorism,” Missakian said Monday.

FBI raids home of Sam Altman home attack suspect

On Monday, federal authorities raided the Texas home of Moreno-Gama, the 20-year-old suspect accused of carrying out the attack at Altman’s San Francisco residence. Fox News was on the ground as authorities executed a search warrant in Spring, Texas.

Authorities allege that Moreno-Gama traveled from Texas to San Francisco with the intent to kill Altman, according to a federal criminal complaint. He now faces a litany of charges, including attempted premeditated murder of both Altman and a security guard, attempted arson, and the possession and ignition of a destructive device with the intent to murder.

Authorities say Moreno-Gama threw a Molotov cocktail at Altman’s home early Friday morning, setting the front gate on fire. No injuries were reported.

Investigators allege the suspect later went to OpenAI headquarters, where surveillance video captured him throwing a chair at the building’s glass doors. Security personnel told police he threatened to burn the building and kill those inside before he was arrested outside the facility. At the time of his arrest, he was reportedly carrying a jug of kerosene and a lighter.

Sources close to the investigation told Fox News that Moreno-Gama was motivated by anti-AI views and was carrying a manifesto described as a “three-part series.”

The document allegedly included a list of other AI executives and investors, along with their names and addresses, raising concerns among authorities about the potential for copycat threats.

Moreno-Gama remains in custody and is also facing multiple state felony charges, including attempted murder, in connection with the incident at Altman’s home. The Justice Department is expected to pursue federal charges.

Schirard said that attacks involving improvised incendiary weapons typically trigger a coordinated federal response, including involvement from agencies such as the FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), as well as increased monitoring for potential related threats.

“And as we’ve seen with this administration, it is also likely that those possible threats will be handled swiftly and aggressively before they could be carried out,” he said.

Hours after the attack on his house, Altman posted a photo of his husband and their toddler in a blog post addressing the threats against him.

“Normally we try to be pretty private, but in this case I am sharing a photo in the hopes that it might dissuade the next person from throwing a Molotov cocktail at our house, no matter what they think about me,” Altman wrote.

He added that “fear and anxiety about AI is justified” but it was important to “de-escalate the rhetoric and tactics and try to have fewer explosions in fewer homes, figuratively and literally.”

In a separate incident over the weekend, two additional individuals were arrested following reports of gunfire near Altman’s home. San Francisco police said that event was unrelated and there is no indication the residence was being targeted in that case.

BLord’s Associates Accuse VeryDarkMan of Spreading ‘False Claims’ in Ongoing Dispute

  • Associates of BLORD have accused VeryDarkMan of spreading false claims about his detention and bail process, escalating ongoing tensions.
  • In a strongly worded statement, the group alleged that VeryDarkMan misrepresented details about BLord’s condition and detention, particularly claims that he was moved from a “ghetto prison” to a VIP cell due to illness.

Supporters of cryptocurrency mogul BLORD have taken a firm stand against social media commentator VeryDarkMan, accusing him of disseminating inaccurate information about BLORD’s legal situation.

In a pointedly critical statement, the group contended that VeryDarkMan distorted facts concerning BLORD’s health and incarceration. Specifically, they challenged claims that BLORD was relocated from a “ghetto prison” to a more comfortable cell due to health issues.

Expressing their frustration, an associate remarked, “I didn’t want to make this video, but VeryDarkMan’s fabrications have left me with no choice. VDM, your downfall is near. You claimed BLORD was ill and moved from a ‘ghetto prison’ to a VIP cell. Were you present to witness this?”

The group also mentioned that the prison authorities were reportedly angered by the situation’s portrayal, citing a supposed warning from the Controller of Kuje Prison.

They further stated, “The Controller of Kuje Prison informed us that if he had been there when BLORD was escorted from court to prison, he would have taken serious action against you for violating the law,” adding a sense of gravity to the accusations.

The associates also accused VeryDarkMan of being aware of legal developments in the case, including the counter affidavit filed by the police to oppose BLORD’s bail application, contrary to his public claims.

The back-and-forth has intensified tensions surrounding the case, with both sides trading accusations as legal proceedings continue.

Meanwhile…. Human rights activist Omoyele Sowore has claimed that social media personality VeryDarkMan would have remained in detention if he had not intervened during his arrest in 2024.

Sowore made the remark while recalling events around the Easter period of 2024, when VeryDarkMan was arrested in a case that drew widespread public attention and online reactions.

“VeryDarkMan would still be in prison if I had not intervened during Easter 2024 when he was arrested,” he said.

The activist did not give further details on the nature of his intervention or the specific legal steps involved at the time.

The 2024 incident occurred during the Easter period when VeryDarkMan was arrested over allegations linked to cyber-related offences, including accusations of cyberbullying and online harassment involving public commentary on individuals.

He was detained by law enforcement authorities and faced court proceedings, with his case attracting significant social media attention. Supporters and critics engaged in heated debate over the legitimacy of the arrest and the broader issue of online speech regulation in Nigeria.

Controversial Speaker to Address Students at College Where Critic of Charlie Kirk Tragically Passed Away

0

An educator known for calling herself ‘America’s government teacher’ is drawing attention as she prepares to speak at the same institution where Charlie Kirk was tragically killed. Previously, she had openly criticized Kirk after his assassination.

Sharon McMahon was announced as the keynote speaker for Utah Valley University’s commencement ceremony in late March. The university also plans to honor her with a doctorate degree.

The choice sparked backlash among conservatives and the university’s Turning Point USA chapter, who highlighted McMahon’s past tweets that have since been removed, posted shortly after Kirk’s death on September 10, 2025.

McMahon expressed, “Many feel they were affected, and the terrible incident of murder, which was utterly condemnable, doesn’t erase past actions or words.”

She added, “To numerous Americans, particularly those who are Black, LGBTQ, or Muslim, Charlie Kirk was not someone who merely participated in well-intentioned discussions on college campuses.”

McMahon’s tweets were taken down, though she still often posts anti-Trump and anti-conservative content on social media.

Utah Senator Mike Lee made a post furious at the university that was retweeted by Elon Musk.

‘What if Charlie Kirk had been a beloved figure on the left, rather than among conservatives?’ Lee said.

‘And what if Sharon McMahon were a conservative – one who had defamed Charlie Kirk immediately after his horrific assassination at UVU? Would UVU have scheduled her to speak at commencement? Not in a million years. Not in ten million years.’

‘So why does UVU think this is okay? It’s not,’ he added.

Utah Valley University TPUSA chapter president Caleb Chilcutt slammed the decision in an interview with Fox News Monday.

‘They could have brought any other speaker. If they liked Charlie, didn’t like Charlie — I honestly don’t really care. But the fact they brought someone who was so critical, literally days after the assassination on my campus, is just shameful for me,’ Chilcutt said.

Jason Chaffetz, a former Utah Congressman and a commentator for the network, called McMahon a ‘liberal hack’ who should be disinvited.

‘Look, there’s still time to correct this. This hasn’t happened. And if the university is gonna step up and do the right thing, they’re gonna cancel her and put in somebody like an astronaut or an athlete or somebody, anybody, But this person, this partisan hack, she should not be addressing the students, not at the commencement.’

The school’s President Astrid S. Tuminez praised McMahon in a statement announcing she would speak.

‘Sharon McMahon is an original. She is a force of nature and a force for good. As a former history teacher, she understands that education can inform, inspire, and instigate courageous action,’ Tuminez said.

She added that ‘our graduates are very lucky to have her as commencement speaker!’

‘I am deeply grateful for this honor from UVU, whose work reflects the very best of what education can do: expand opportunity, strengthen communities, and prepare people to serve the world around them,’ McMahon said.

‘It is a privilege to be recognized by an institution with that kind of impact.’

The Daily Mail has reached out to both McMahon and Utah Valley University for further comment.

Kirk was fatally shot while speaking at the university on September 10, 2025.

Atlanta Tragedy: Teen Faces Murder Charge in Shooting of 12-Year-Old at Home

0

A tragic shooting has left a community in mourning as a 12-year-old boy was fatally shot in his bedroom. The Atlanta Police have charged a 14-year-old with murder in connection to the incident.

In a heartfelt vigil held on Sunday night, over 100 people came together to honor the memory of young Cameron Coney, who tragically lost his life at home just the day before.

The Atlanta Police Department has confirmed that a 14-year-old suspect is facing murder charges, as reported by WXIA.

Those closest to Cameron fondly recalled his joyful spirit. Family members shared that he cherished spending time with his cousins and enjoyed playful wrestling matches with his sisters.

“That’s what he did, be aggravating, be loud, be obnoxious,” Cameron’s aunt, Latosha Coney, reminisced. “He didn’t care if he had on dirty clothes because in his eyes, Cameron was still the freshest in the room. That was Cameron.”

They said the middle schooler loved to snag their leftovers and play football.

“Cameron played for any and everybody’s team in the city of Atlanta, Big Cam, number 51,” Coney said.

Police said Cameron’s mother was home at the time of the shooting and called 911.

“Cameron’s said friends were in Cameron’s home, brought a gun in the house with them,” Coney said. “I was told that one of them pointed a gun at all of the friends in there, and when he got to Cameron, the gun was touching Cameron’s chest, and he shot.”

One of the photos displayed at the vigil was of Cameron and his mother going to a dance in his last year of elementary school. Next year would have been his last year in middle school. One of life’s many milestones, Saturday’s violence took from his family.

“We hope that parents, for one, know where their kids are,” Coney said. “We hope that parents have life insurance on their kids. We hope that Cameron’s name forever lives on.”

Coney is asking people to pray for the family,  especially Cameron’s mother and three siblings.

The family has started an online fundraiser to help the family with funeral expenses and other immediate needs.

Spartanburg DUI Tragedy: Suspect’s Bond Denied in Heartbreaking Case Involving Two Children

An emotional bond hearing unfolded in Spartanburg, S.C., where a man accused of causing the tragic deaths of two local children was denied bond.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol reported that Eri Perez was driving along Asheville Highway on a Sunday afternoon when his vehicle veered off the road, tragically striking two children on their bicycles.

The victims were identified as nine-year-old Mikhail-Lee Smith and 12-year-old Dereon James Robinson, who were both fatally injured in the accident.

Despite being swiftly transported to Spartanburg Medical Center, the Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office confirmed that the boys succumbed to their injuries roughly an hour later.

At the hearing, Barry Barnette, the Spartanburg County solicitor, stated that upon arrival at the scene, state troopers observed that Perez appeared to be severely intoxicated.

“They smelled a strong alcoholic beverage coming from him. His speech was so slurred he couldn’t convey any thoughts or answer questions,” he said.

Barnette added that Perez had bloodshot eyes, could not stand on his own, and was unable to complete a field sobriety test.

Perez later admitted to troopers that he’d been drinking heavily during the weekend.

Deputies said there was a passenger in Perez’s car at the time of the crash, but he fled the scene before investigators arrived. He has not yet been located by authorities.

Perez has been charged with two felony counts of DUI resulting in death, driving with no license, and violating open container laws.

The two felony charges carry 25-year sentences each, according to the solicitor.

Dereon Robinson’s mother, Megan Wilson, and his brother, were walking alongside the boys when the crash happened.

She spoke during the hearing, describing the horrific moment.

“I need him to know he took a child before his birthday. I watched him almost hit me and then I ran to my son and held my son while he bled to death,” Wilson described. “In front of his 10-year-old brother, and you took his best friend at the same time.”

Mikhail-Lee Smith’s mother, Nikkita Christopher, wondered why the suspect was driving so fast.

“Why were you driving so fast? There’s kids on that road,” Christopher said. “You took a baby’s life. Two baby’s lives, just cause you wanted to drink. I don’t know where you’re from, but we don’t do that here.”

Robinson’s older brother, James McDowell, also spoke during the hearing. He told the judge he now has to bury his brother, who looked up to him, on his own birthday.

“I shouldn’t have to bury my brother before he buries me or my mother. My mom should not have had to see anything she saw,” he said. “Please stop drinking and driving.”

He added that this isn’t the first innocent death from someone drinking and driving, but it should be the last.

Before the denial verdict for Perez’s bond was announced, Barnette said Perez is a danger to the community and a flight risk, as he is not a U.S. citizen. The judge said an ICE detainer will be filed for Perez.

Perez is scheduled to appear in court for the two felony DUI charges on June 18.

Investigation Continues into Fire at Vacant Apartment in Champaign

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — Although the flames have been extinguished, the search for the cause of a significant blaze at a Champaign apartment complex over the weekend continues.

According to fire officials, extensive resources were employed to combat the inferno at the Champaign Park Apartments on Saturday. Firefighters remained on the scene for more than 12 hours, starting their efforts around 10:20 a.m. Due to the large number of Champaign firefighters engaged, backup support was provided by the Savoy and Urbana Fire Departments, along with the Cornbelt Fire Protection District, all stationed at Champaign Fire Stations one and six.
