Brenda Song Calls Out Alaska Airlines for Seating Mishap

0

Brenda Song, the well-known actress, is currently embroiled in a heated dispute with Alaska Airlines.

Song, who is 37, has publicly criticized the airline for disrupting a family vacation she had planned with her fiancé, Macaulay Culkin. The issue arose when the airline reportedly separated her from their young sons, Dakota, age 4, and Carson, age 3, despite the family having booked first-class seats well in advance.

In an impassioned post on Instagram, the former Disney Channel star expressed her frustration, stating that their seats had been “given away” without any notice. This disruption occurred just as they were set to celebrate Dakota’s birthday.

“I wasn’t aware that when you book your first class tickets 6 months in advance for your family, @alaskaair can simply give away your seats the morning of without any warning,” she vented on her Instagram Story this past Saturday.

Song further emphasized her dissatisfaction by tagging Culkin in the post and advised her followers to “never fly” with the airline again.

The “Home Alone” icon quickly backed up his partner, reposting her tirade with a cheeky but telling jab: “Hell hath no fury like a Brenda scorned…”

The airline is now in full damage-control mode. A spokesperson told TMZ that the incident was “unacceptable” and did not reflect the company’s standards.

“Traveling can be stressful, especially with young children, and we pride ourselves on being a top airline for traveling families,” added the spokesperson. “We are deeply sorry for adding friction to the experience.”

Alaska has reached out to the couple to make things right, according to the outlet.

Song and Culkin, who met in 2017 on the set of “Changeland”, have kept their relationship relatively private, though they’ve recently offered fans more glimpses into their home life. The pair got engaged in early 2022, welcoming Dakota and Carson in 2021 and 2022.

But their family dynamic has already raised eyebrows. Song recently revealed during an appearance on ‘The Jennifer Hudson Show” that Culkin still doesn’t know how to drive.

“I took him out to drive in our neighborhood. I was terrified,” she admitted, calling him a “very unique human being.”

Despite the chaos in the skies, the couple has been soaring in real estate.

They reportedly dropped $10.3 million on a new six-bedroom mansion in Los Angeles’s Sherman Oaks after unloading their Toluca Lake home for a whopping $14.24 million.

Congressional Stalemate: DHS Funding Deal Hits Roadblock Amid Intense Negotiations

On Saturday, the Senate remained at an impasse, with Democrats and Republicans unable to find common ground to reopen the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) despite weeks of discussions involving the White House.

In recent efforts to bridge the gap, President Trump’s border advisor, Tom Homan, has engaged in dialogue with moderate Democrats, seeking a viable solution for a DHS funding agreement. However, a meeting planned for Saturday evening between Homan and legislators was abruptly canceled earlier that day.

The Hill has reached out to both Senate leaders and the White House for their perspectives on the situation.

Among those involved in the negotiations are Democratic Senators Patty Murray of Washington, Maggie Hassan from New Hampshire, and Catherine Cortez Masto of Nevada, alongside Independent Senator Angus King of Maine, who typically aligns with the Democrats.

Republican Senator Mike Rounds of South Dakota, a member of the appropriations committee, expressed optimism before the now-canceled meeting, noting that Republicans were beginning to see some headway in discussions with centrist Democrats following their Friday night deliberations with Homan.

“I wasn’t in the meeting, but I got encouragement from it. Definitely not done yet, but we’re making some progress,” the South Dakota Republican said.

Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-S.D.) similarly expressed hope that the continuing White House talks could drive the two sides closer to a deal, telling reporters on Saturday afternoon that the shutdown “doesn’t reflect well on anybody.”

“This is our job. This is what we should be doing here, and there being good faith efforts made to try and address the issues that Democrats are concerned about by the administration … and they’re working hard to get an outcome,” Thune said. “So at some point, like I said earlier, the Democrats are going to take yes for an answer.”

Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) cast a less optimistic view of the ongoing negotiations, telling The Hill outside the Senate floor on Saturday that Republicans were “not making any progress.”

“I wish I could share the enthusiasm of some of my colleagues, but if you gave every one of my Republican colleagues truth serum, they would tell you we don’t have the slightest idea how we’re going to get out of this mess, and we’re not optimistic,” the GOP lawmaker said.

Democrats are continuing to withhold support for the funding bill until the White House agrees to make several key reforms to DHS’s immigration enforcement agencies, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Protection (CBP).

Democratic lawmakers are asking the Trump administration to impose a mask ban, judicial warrant reform and a universal code of conduct for federal agents at ICE and CBP.

“All we’re asking for is that ICE agents follow the same rules as pretty much every other law enforcement out there in this country. Same kind of accountability, same kind of lucid engagements in making sure that the public is safe.” Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) told reporters on Saturday.

Amid continued Democratic opposition on Saturday, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) proposed splitting off provisions for ICE and CBP from the department’s funding bill and later funding these agencies through the reconciliation process, which only requires a simple majority.

Other agencies affected by the DHS shutdown include the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), and the U.S. Coast Guard.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), who has criticized the White House’s proposed DHS reforms, said on Saturday afternoon that Democrats were having “productive conversations” but called on Republicans to “fund TSA now.”

“Let us keep negotiating the outstanding issues with ICE, but let us start sending paychecks to TSA workers now,” Schumer said ahead of a floor vote on his proposal to suspend Senate rules to push through funding for the transportation agency amid nationwide airport staffing shortages.

Republicans voted down the measure, which Thune said in a Saturday floor speech would not effectively reopen the agency. The GOP leader criticized Democrats’ decision to block DHS funding again in a Friday vote.

“The opportunity to fund TSA has come and gone multiple times here when we have had votes on the floor, including as recently as yesterday and countless motions, continuing resolutions, to fund all of DHS, including TSA numerous times,” Thune said.

On Saturday, the president sparked backlash from Democrats after announcing his administration would send ICE agents to airports to conduct airport security during this shutdown.

Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) called the decision “another reckless, lawless threat to misuse ICE agents.”

“He seems to have no concept of what the limits are on ICE, and I think America would be absolutely appalled to see ICE agents roaming through airports, just as they’ve been breaking down doors at homes,” Blumenthal told The Hill on Saturday afternoon.

The Connecticut Democrat indicated that the president’s actions have furthered the distance between the two sides in these negotiations.

“We could solve these issues in an evening if Trump would simply say yes or get out of the way,” Blumenthal said. “If Trump were just to go radio silent, rather than going thunderbolt fresh, there would be solutions within reach, and there is a path to the kinds of reforms that are routine for police departments all around the country, as we’ve been saying again, and again, and again.”

Progressive Showdown: Democrat Bookstore Worker Faces Backlash in Ultra-Woke Community

0

A newly established bookstore in Denver has found itself in turmoil after severing ties with its prominent co-founder, following an online backlash over his past actions. This unexpected leadership change occurred mere weeks after the store’s grand opening.

The Denver Book Society confirmed on Friday that Kwame Spearman is no longer associated with the business. This abrupt departure highlights how quickly the controversy surrounding his history flared up, posing a potential threat to the store’s reputation.

“It became clear that a change in leadership was needed,” the bookstore stated, shortly after welcoming its first customers.

Store owner Rich Garvin emphasized the finality of the decision.

“Kwame is deeply committed to supporting independent bookstores, and I am grateful for his initial efforts,” Garvin stated. “However, his ongoing role with the Denver Book Society no longer aligns with our bookstore’s mission.”

Garvin will now take full control as the sole leader of the shop.

The split follows a social media firestorm that erupted shortly after the bookstore opened. Spearman – who once ran for city mayor – allegedly posted about his own personal views on ICE on the store’s public Instagram account.

Garvin tried to reassure the community: ‘We didn’t approve of how he approached this messaging, or how he engaged with our community in the comments of that post. Please rest assured that DBS remains firmly in support of immigrant rights.’

But critics also brought up longstanding grievances tied to Spearman’s tenure at Denver’s iconic Tattered Cover – and his brief, controversial foray into politics.

Online posts on Reddit and Instagram accused Spearman of supporting cooperation with federal immigration authorities during his 2023 mayoral campaign – a position that clashed sharply with Denver’s sanctuary city identity.

At the time, Spearman had suggested there were ‘opportunities for that cooperation between the suburban cities and the counties with the federal government,’ in remarks reported during the race. The  comments drew a fierce backlash from fellow Democrats.

Spearman later pushed back, insisting the characterization of his remarks was wrong.

‘I don’t support ICE,’ he wrote in response to critics. ‘Never have.’ But the controversy did not stop there.

Former colleagues also renewed allegations about his management style at the Tattered Cover, with one of his closest former associates delivering a blistering assessment.

‘Kwame badly mistreated the extremely dedicated and loyal Tattered Cover staff,’ said David Back, the Denverite reported.

‘He’s a bully who makes himself feel big by making others feel small. Kwame thought he was the captain of the Titanic, but actually, he was the iceberg.’

The resurfacing of such criticisms, combined with the political controversy from 2023 quickly snowballed into a reputational crisis for the bookstore, with some critics pledging to boycott the new venture altogether.

Garvin acknowledged the damage and his own role in it.

‘This is my greatest passion project; I’m sorry that personnel choices alienated the Denver community and that I failed to recognize these issues in advance,’ he said.

He emphasized that the Denver Book Society would continue to position itself as an inclusive ‘third place’ for community dialogue, with programming and donations supporting immigrant rights organizations.

At the center of the dispute is also a disagreement over how Spearman’s role was publicly portrayed.

‘While Kwame presented himself publicly as a partner in Denver Book Society, I have always been the sole financial investor and owner of the store,’ Garvin said, clarifying that Spearman had been brought in as a consultant to help shape operations and programming.

But Spearman insists his departure was always part of the plan.

‘From the very beginning, the plan was that once we reached this point, I would transition out of my role in the business and the bookstore would move forward under Rich’s sole leadership,’ he wrote in an explanation published on Friday.

‘This transition is not a change in direction. It is the completion of the original plan.’

Spearman said his stepping aside from the bookshop was a transition and ¿is not a change in direction¿ but the completion of an original plan

In a separate note Spearman added: ‘Bookstores should be places of quiet discovery, not headlines.’

Spearman had attempted to reintroduce himself to Denver through the new bookstore after a turbulent few years that included a failed effort to save the Tattered Cover, an aborted mayoral campaign, and a subsequent unsuccessful run for the Denver school board.

He had openly acknowledged past mistakes, telling Denverite: ‘When you come in and you’re a Tasmanian devil, you stress the staff, you stress your finances, and you stress the business.’

Spearman has been contacted for comment.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Judges 11-13

Open Heaven 17 March 2026 MESSAGE

Over the past two days, I have discussed how important it is for parents to train their children in God’s way and some of the things they must consciously do to achieve this. A poorly trained child often grows up to become a nuisance to society. However, when children are brought up in a godly manner, they grow up to become adults whom their parents can be proud of and good models for other people to emulate.

As I round off this series today, I would like to mention again that parents should teach their children God’s word, ways, and principles at all times. It is not enough to teach and guide them occasionally; parents must train their children at all times. For example, parents must teach their children when they are in the house, away from home, and when they sit, stand, or lie down (Deuteronomy 6:5-9). I will discuss one other thing that parents must do at all times as part of their lifestyle, and this is showing gratitude.

In today’s Bible reading, David said that he would bless the Lord at all times, and His praise shall continually be on his lips. This is one of the things that parents must do non-stop; they should continually praise the Lord. Some Christian homes are filled with grumbling, complaining, and all manner of negative talk. Raising children in such an atmosphere will condition them to have a negative mindset when they grow up to become adults. (1 Thessalonians 5:18) says that we should always give thanks to God in everything, regardless of whatever situation we find ourselves in. Parents should let gratitude flow from their lips continually so that their children can pick up that trait from them. Many of the problems in society today stem from the fact that there are too many ungrateful adults who have grown up with a sense of entitlement.

In Genesis 22:1-18, when Abraham was taking Isaac up Mount Moriah to offer him as a sacrifice to God, Isaac asked his father where the lamb for the sacrifice was. This shows that Isaac knew that no one should go to worship God empty-handed. He had learnt the art of worship and thanksgiving from his father and must have seen his father practice it many times.

Giving thanks always is a very important thing that every parent must do to train up their children in the way of the Lord. Parents who are not grateful and thankful should not expect their children to be.

Open Heaven 17 March 2026 HYMN 18 – Praise To The Lord The Almighty, The King Of Creation

1 Praise to the Lord,
the Almighty, the King of creation!
O my soul, praise Him, for He is thy health
and salvation:
Join the great throng
psaltery, organ and song
sounding in glad adoration.

2 Praise to the Lord,
over all things he gloriously reigneth:
Borne as on eagle-wings, safely his saints,
He sustaineth
Has thou not seen
How all thou needest hath been
Granted in what he ordaineth?

3 Praise to the Lord,
Who doth prosper thy way and defend thee;
Surely his goodness and mercy shall ever
attend thee; ponder anew,
What the almighty can do
Who with his love doth befriend thee.

4 Praise to the Lord!
O let all that is in me adore him!
All that has breath join with Abraham’s
Seed to adore him! Let the Amen,
Sum all our praises again;
Now as we worship before him.

DCLM Daily Manna 18 March 2026 — A Dialogue With God

DCLM Daily Manna 18 March 2026 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — A Dialogue With God

TOPIC: A Dialogue With God (DCLM Daily Manna 18 March 2026)

KEY VERSE: And Moses answered and said, But, behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice: for they will say, The LORD hath not appeared unto thee – Exodus 4:1

TEXT: Exodus 4:1-17 (KJV)

1 And Moses answered and said, But, behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice: for they will say, The Lord hath not appeared unto thee.

2 And the Lord said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod.

3 And he said, Cast it on the ground. And he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from before it.

4 And the Lord said unto Moses, Put forth thine hand, and take it by the tail. And he put forth his hand, and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand:

5 That they may believe that the Lord God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath appeared unto thee.

6 And the Lord said furthermore unto him, Put now thine hand into thy bosom. And he put his hand into his bosom: and when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous as snow.

7 And he said, Put thine hand into thy bosom again. And he put his hand into his bosom again; and plucked it out of his bosom, and, behold, it was turned again as his other flesh.

8 And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe thee, neither hearken to the voice of the first sign, that they will believe the voice of the latter sign.

9 And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe also these two signs, neither hearken unto thy voice, that thou shalt take of the water of the river, and pour it upon the dry land: and the water which thou takest out of the river shall become blood upon the dry land.

10 And Moses said unto the Lord, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.

11 And the Lord said unto him, Who hath made man’s mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the Lord?

12 Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say.

13 And he said, O my Lord, send, I pray thee, by the hand of him whom thou wilt send.

14 And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Moses, and he said, Is not Aaron the Levite thy brother? I know that he can speak well. And also, behold, he cometh forth to meet thee: and when he seeth thee, he will be glad in his heart.

15 And thou shalt speak unto him, and put words in his mouth: and I will be with thy mouth, and with his mouth, and will teach you what ye shall do.

16 And he shall be thy spokesman unto the people: and he shall be, even he shall be to thee instead of a mouth, and thou shalt be to him instead of God.

17 And thou shalt take this rod in thine hand, wherewith thou shalt do signs.

DCLM Daily Manna For Today MESSAGE:

We cannot over emphasize the power of dialogue in clearing confusion, fears, and doubts. Engaging in open dialogue helps to clear misunderstandings, prevent miscommunication and resolve conflicts. Most importantly, honest and sincere discourse helps to alleviate fears, as doubts and concerns are addressed and clarity is provided on uncertain issues. In addition, it helps build trust and gives one the courage and confidence to take up tasks and face challenges.

Today’s passage presents an honest and sincere conversation between Moses and God. In the previous chapter, God had appeared to Moses in the burning bush and had given him a call to lead the children of Israel out of captivity. The task was herculean to Moses, and because he felt so weak and inadequate, he poured out his fears and doubts before God. Interestingly, God did not disqualify nor dismiss him. Rather, He addressed his fears and concerns one after the other, clearing every one of them. Rising from this honest session with God, Moses could go forth and accomplish the task that God gave him.

This passage teaches us that God is open to discussion. Whenever we are in doubt, we should be free to get into honest communication with Him. American songwriter, Cleavant Derricks understands this well and succinctly captures it in the epic hymn, “Just A Little Talk With Jesus.” He encourages in the refrain: “Now let us have a little talk with Jesus, let us tell Him all about our troubles, He will hear our faintest cry, He will answer by and by; and when you feel a little prayer wheel turning and you know a little fire is burning, you will find a little talk with Jesus makes things right.” Like Moses, there are times we grapple with doubts and confusion. Have you received a call into ministry and are struggling with doubts regarding your abilities? Do you have a leading, maybe in marriage, business, or with regards to relocating, and everything appears so hazy and unclear? Are there confusing questions in your mind to which you need a reassuring answer? Come, dialogue with God. A little talk with Jesus will make things right.

In the place of prayer, we have the liberty to confess our weaknesses, feebleness, frailty, fears and doubts without shame and receive are assuring and comforting answer. When we converse with God like Moses, we are imbued with the boldness and confidence to step out in the direction of God’s leading, knowing that we are on the right course, at the centre of His will, and we have Him backing us.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Like the shadow of a cloud, our doubts dissolve when brought to God.

Lawyers Report Persistent Concerns Over Conditions at Texas Facility for Detained Immigrant Children

0

In recent months, close to 600 immigrant children have been detained at a family detention center in Texas, experiencing insufficient food, inadequate medical care, and a lack of mental health services. This has occurred as their stay extended beyond the time limits set by court mandates, according to documents submitted to the court on Friday.

Among those detained at the Dilley detention facility were 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos and his father, who faced virus outbreaks and prolonged lockdowns during December and January. These conditions have persisted, even as the number of children at the facility has decreased in recent weeks, as detailed in attorney reports and observations from site visits.

Liam Conejo Ramos’s case attracted significant attention, particularly because of his young age and the circumstances under which he was taken into custody by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Minnesota, wearing a blue bunny hat. His situation sparked outrage and protests against the Trump administration’s stringent immigration policies, with detainees inside Dilley expressing their dissent by holding signs within the fenced yards.

Despite a decrease in numbers, with approximately 85 children still held at Dilley last week, the troubling conditions remain, according to Mishan Wroe, a directing attorney at the National Center for Youth Law, who visited in mid-March. Earlier, in February, a legal advocate noted the presence of about 280 children.

The recent filings relate to a lawsuit initiated in 1985, which culminated in the 1997 establishment of court-ordered standards, including a 20-day limit on custody. The Trump administration, however, is seeking to terminate the Flores settlement, which underpins these protections.

“For years, the Flores consent decree has been a tool of the left that is antithetical to the law and wastes valuable U.S. taxpayer funded resources,” the Department of Homeland Security said in a statement. “Being in detention is a choice.”

Attorneys for detainees highlighted the government’s data showing longer custody times for immigrant children, and also cited worms in food, and poor access to medical care or sufficient legal counsel as reported by families and monitors at federal facilities.

“Dilley remains a hellhole,” said Leecia Welch, the chief legal director at Children’s Rights, who visits Dilley regularly to ensure compliance. “Although the number of children has decreased, the suffering remains the same.”

Dilley is retrofitted for families, who receive basic necessities including adequate food and water while in detention, and the Trump administration is working to quickly deport detainees, the DHS spokesperson added.

A report from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement showed that about 595 immigrant children were held in custody for more than the 20-day limit in December and January, with some stretching into months, per the filing.

“Approximately 265 of these children were detained for more than 50 days and a shocking 55 children were detained more than 100 days,” the filing stated.

That is up from a previous government disclosure late last year that showed from August to September, 400 children had been held at Dilley beyond the 20-day limit. DHS did not respond to questions seeking comment on the data.

Chief U.S. District Judge Dolly Gee of the Central District of California is scheduled to have a hearing on the case later this month.

Rhapsody Of Realities 18 March 2026: Stick To The Word

Rhapsody Of Realities 18 March 2026 By Pastor Chris Oyakhilome (Christ Embassy): Stick To The Word

TOPIC: Stick To The Word (Rhapsody of Realities 18 March 2026)

…yea, let God be true, but every man a liar… (Romans 3:4).

Rhapsody Of Realities For Today’s MESSAGE:

God’s Word never fails; it is truth and produces what it talks about. Titus 1:2 tells us that God cannot lie. It brings to mind an encounter I had with a blind man many years ago in one of our meetings. After praying for him, the Lord told me he had been healed. So I approached him and asked, “Sir, can you see me?” He said, “No.” His eyes were completely shut, and the crowd began to laugh.

Nevertheless, I stood firm on what the Lord had told me and declared before everyone, “God said this man has been healed, and God cannot lie.” Though the man insisted he couldn’t see, I remained unruffled. And after a few minutes, his eyes opened, and he began to rejoice that he could see. If I hadn’t acted on the truth of God’s Word, he might have gone back home blind. Stick to the Word, and you’d surely have a testimony.

On another occasion, the Lord showed me a striking vision. He put a man before me and said, “This man was diagnosed with cancer, but look at him, there’s no cancer in his body.” And indeed, when I looked, there was no cancer. Then the Lord said, “But he will die of cancer.” Shocked, I asked, “Why will he die if there’s no cancer?”

And the Lord replied, “Because he believes the report he was given.” That’s the difference between facts and truth. Human diagnosis may present a fact, but God’s Word reveals the truth. The man would die, not because there was cancer in him, but because he chose to believe the wrong report, and his faith in that report created the cancer.

Many Christians struggle with flaws simply because they believe in them rather than see themselves from the standpoint of God’s Word. As long as you keep saying, “I have this weakness, I have this flaw,” you’ll live in that struggle. But when you believe and declare God’s Word, and see yourself the way He sees you in the Word, you’ll live triumphantly every day. Your life blossoms from glory to glory when you stick to the Word, speaking and living accordingly.

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for bringing me into perfection in Christ Jesus. My words are consistent with your truth, and I walk in the consciousness of who I am in Christ. I live beyond human limitations, manifesting your glory and righteousness. My life glows from glory to glory because I live in and by your Word, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

One Nation’s Historic Victory Sends Strong Signal in Latest Election Surge

0
One Nation is set to join South Australia‘s lower house after converting surging support in the polls into a historic foothold in the state election.

In a sweeping triumph, the Labor Party celebrated a historic victory, while Pauline Hanson’s party harnessed widespread discontent with established political norms. This led to One Nation achieving its most significant electoral success in Australia in decades, leaving the Liberal Party in disarray.

Pauline Hanson, the leader of One Nation, expressed optimism about the future, stating, “This marks a new beginning for South Australia and for Australia as a whole.” She further declared her intent to expand the party’s influence, adding, “This will send a clear message. I’m not stopping at South Australia; I’m setting my sights on the seat of Farrer in the upcoming New South Wales by-election, and then on to Victoria.”

In the lower house of South Australia, the Labor Party is set to significantly bolster its majority, securing at least 32 seats and possibly expanding to 35. In stark contrast, the Liberals are left holding only four seats, with limited prospects of retaining up to three more.

In South Australia’s lower house, the Labor Party will increase its majority to at least 32 and could gain as many as 35 seats.

The Liberals have only four with slim hope that they could hold another three.

One Nation’s David Payton, the Adelaide Plains Council deputy mayor, won the seat of Ngadjuri, the party’s first lower house seat won at an election outside of Queensland.

The party is on track for at least two seats in the lower house and at least another in the upper house, where SA One Nation leader Cory Bernardi is its lead candidate.

The votes are still being counted and the results won’t be known for days in some elections.

“We can and should wave our flag with pride knowing that Aussie patriotism sometimes means sitting with a stranger and sharing a cuppa or a frothy,” he said.

While most of the state went to the polls supporting Labor, more than one in five South Australians backed One Nation, which overtook the Liberals as the second most popular in the state.

One Nation leads the Liberal Party in two-thirds of lower house seats and outside of Adelaide, they lead all parties in total vote, figures that will likely scare the major parties in other states and in Canberra.

“I think the lesson from that not just in South Australia but federally is that people are angry,” former opposition leader David Littleproud said.

As the results became clear, the Liberals were baying for blood, not blaming current leader Ashton Hurn but demanding an apology from former leader David Speirs.

Chilling Home Invasion: Intruder’s Disturbing Words Before Alleged Assault on Mother and Baby

An Oregon resident is facing serious accusations after allegedly committing a series of assaults, during which he ominously told a woman, “Honey, I’m here,” before attempting to rape her, as per the authorities.

Judson Curtis Defir has been charged with first-degree attempted rape and first-degree kidnapping in connection with events that took place on March 15, which reportedly ended in an attack on a mother inside her Oregon home.

The Portland Police Department reported that the incidents began on the morning of March 15. Defir allegedly accosted two women walking in a neighborhood, then proceeded to inappropriately touch a woman inside a church, before ultimately entering a woman’s home in Portland, according to their statement.

Chief Bob Day expressed, “Our thoughts are with the women who endured these terrifying experiences. We are thankful for their bravery in coming forward. I also want to commend the rapid and coordinated efforts of our patrol officers and detectives, whose swift actions were instrumental in apprehending the suspect and restoring a sense of safety to the community.”

Judson Curtis Defir is Accused of Entering Woman’s Home

Authorities were summoned to the area following a disturbance report. Upon arrival at the home of a mother of two, they found her “sobbing uncontrollably” as she reported the attempted rape, according to a probable cause affidavit obtained by Oxygen.

The woman told police, per the affidavit, that she had been in an upstairs bedroom with her children, ages 3 and 10 months, when she heard a man—later identified as Defir—come inside, walk up the stairs and call out, “Honey, I’m here.”

She described the man, according to the court records, as standing about 6 feet tall with messy brown hair wearing a black hoodie and colored pants and told police that he “smelled dirty” like he hadn’t recently bathed.

As he began to approach her in the bedroom, she moved her 3-year-old behind her in a corner, as she held her baby in her arms. The man allegedly grabbed her and pulled her into another bedroom before forcing her onto the bed.

“He pressed down on her back and hips and began to pull her sweatpants down, exposing her bottom,” Multnomah County Deputy District Attorney Melissa Marrero wrote in the affidavit.  “[The victim] was face-down on the bed and held the baby in her arms.”

The woman was able to convince Defir to let her put the baby down in a crib in another room, authorities said.

After placing the baby down, she went into the room where her 3-year-old was waiting and barricaded the door with a bookshelf “in hopes of keeping the male out of the bedroom,” Marrero wrote.

As he struggled to make his way inside, the woman walked out onto a balcony and began to call for help, alerting her husband, who was working in the yard, and other people at a nearby church.

Although they ran to help, Defir had already fled, according to authorities.

About 15 people from the area had started to follow him and when police officers arrived, they pointed to the suspect.

Defir was detained and officers learned that he had two active warrants out for his arrest, according to the affidavit.

As he was being arrested, Sgt. Rehanna Kerridge reported that he allegedly leered at her, then asked, “Hey Kerridge wanna f–k? You’re hot,” Marrero wrote.

Judson Defir Allegedly Told Police He’d Taken Meth

During a later interview with detectives Defir allegedly told the investigators that he had smoked meth that morning before going to church, where he ate pancakes. He told investigators that after church he had been in a house with a woman and two kids and the woman “screamed.”

He told detectives, per the affidavit, that he had been trying to get past the woman when he “accidentally bumped” into her and had considered “jumping from the second floor to get out of there.”

“Defir said he left that house and people were following him,” Marrero wrote. “He said he was trying to get away from them. He said people were following him and eventually the police arrested him.”

Police have said the investigation remains ongoing and asked anyone with information about the alleged incidents to contact authorities.

“This is a shocking crime,” Multnomah County District Attorney Nathan Vasquez told Oxygen. “People have a right to feel safe in their own homes. My office will do everything in its power to make sure justice is served in this case.”

Defir is currently being held without bail, according to The Oregonian. It’s unclear whether he has an attorney. Oxygen reached out to the public defender’s office but did not receive an immediate reply.

Exploring the Unique Hand Characteristics of Kate and the Royal Family: Insights from a Palmistry Expert

0

Earlier this month, the Princess of Wales captivated onlookers as she stepped onto a lifeboat on the River Thames in London, her warm wave met with enthusiastic cheers from royal admirers.

Observant fans might have spotted an intriguing detail about the 44-year-old royal’s hands—her middle finger is nearly the same length as her index and ring fingers, unlike the typical hand where the middle finger is noticeably longer.

Palmistry expert Johnny Fincham suggests this unusual trait is no mere coincidence. Instead, it offers a glimpse into the Princess’s personality, according to the principles of palmistry.

Fincham, who authored “Palmistry: From Apprentice to Pro in 24 Hours,” applies scientific and psychological analysis of hand and finger shapes, textures, sizes, prints, and lines to glean insights into individuals’ lives.

Through his study of the Royal Family’s hands, Fincham has uncovered intriguing aspects of their personalities, including insights into Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s ‘worrying’ destiny and his ‘addiction to pleasure.’

Meanwhile, the York sisters’ hands, according to Johnny, point to one ‘sensitive’ sister who ‘needs protection’ – while the second is ‘fiery’ and determined to stand on her own.

Read on to discover what the strikingly distinctive hands of the Royal Family tell us about their personalities…

KATE’S GOT A REAL SOCIAL CONSCIENCE

Perhaps the most unusual aspect of Kate's hands is that her middle finger is almost the same length as her index and ring fingers; most people's are noticeably longer

Perhaps the most unusual aspect of Kate’s hands is that her middle finger is almost the same length as her index and ring fingers; most people’s are noticeably longer.

While our middle finger isn’t affected by oestrogen and testosterone in the womb because it has fewer hormone receptors, for palm readers, the length of this finger carries a crucial significance.

‘Kate’s middle finger should stand 2cm longer than the others,’ Johnny said, continuing, ‘That it doesn’t, indicates she has an enormous sympathy with the outsider. She’s strongly geared towards the underdog.’

However, the royals may be in for a shock in the coming years. ‘As Kate gets older, she may want to escape the restrictions of royal life. Many such people end up living in a land outside of the one they were born in.’

Palmists believe the shape of your palm says a lot about you, with four basic types, one for each element: fire, water, earth and air.

‘Kate has an air palm – it’s square, with long, thin fingers and quite bony, pale hands,’ Johnny said.

‘People with air palms are quiet, refined, intelligent, sensitive and articulate. They don’t usually like to get into a situation where there are too many impediments on their freedom. They like to come and go as they please and travel a lot.

‘While they can be charming, they are often hard to pin down, somewhat unknowable and aloof.’

Kate’s slim little finger is longer than normal, a sign of curiosity about the world and an ability to engage and influence others. ‘Such people are usually good with money and use words well,’ says the expert, ‘but more likely to stray romantically.’

ANDREW’S TWISTED FATE AND ‘ADDICTION TO PLEASURE’

Of special note is his 'worrying' fate line, which runs vertically up the centre of the palm - as other features suggest an 'addiction to pleasure'

Of special note is his ‘worrying’ fate line, which runs vertically up the centre of the palm – as other features suggest an ‘addiction to pleasure’

Johnny described Andrew’s hand – ‘a square palm with short, stubby fingers’ – as ‘an earth hand’, meaning he has an ‘affinity with the physical, practical and material world’.

However, of special note is his ‘worrying’ fate line, which runs vertically up the centre of the palm – and features which suggest an ‘addiction to pleasure’.

‘It bends up from the radial side of the palm, showing a serious lack of gravity, duty and obedience,’ Johnny described.

‘This line bends away from the lifeline, showing him avoiding family protocols, being his own man, someone that makes his own rules and without a drive to achieve aims set by the family.’

Elsewhere, the disgraced Duke has ‘enormous’ bottom phalanges too, which the expert said ‘denotes a highly sensual nature, someone that loves luxury and the pleasures of the senses’.

‘He can get stuck in a cycle of needing constant “hits” sexually, gastronomically and in terms of touch,’ Johnny continued. ‘Large base phalanges often give an addiction to pleasure.’

However, Andrew’s hands also point to inner turmoil.

‘The index (Jupiter) digit is short and slightly bent, giving a lack of independence and a serious lack of inner confidence,’ Johnny explained.

‘Though this would be hidden by a love of display, indicated by the long ring (Apollo) finger.

And his pinky could suggest ‘opportunist’ tendencies, the palmistry pro added.

‘The little finger, ruled by Mercury is long and sticking out,’ Johnny said. ‘This is a classic sign of someone with a sharp sense of humour and something of a charmer who is “on the lookout” in terms of relationships – an opportunist who will hook onto an encounter outside the bounds of formal marriage.

‘The bar line joining the head line and heart line shows great difficulty in letting go in terms of love and romance: he has a sense of ownership in matters of the heart. This does, however show a huge sense of commitment in terms of family and children.’

Johnny added: ‘He likes things which are tangible, real and which can be seen and touched. He has an inherent distrust of abstract ideas, intellectual approaches to life and to reading and study in general.

‘Earth types like traditional organised structures, they place enormous trust in institutions and family. They instinctively want to preserve traditions and love history and can live very much in the past.

‘There is an affinity and love of nature and of outdoor pursuits. Like all earth types, Andrew would have a natural physicality and will have a love of good food and outdoor exercise. He can be prone to being lazy when unmotivated and can be somewhat insensitive with a crude sense of humour.’

PRINCE PHILIP’S LOVE OF LUXURY

Palmistry expert Johnny pointed out that Prince Philip's fingers were extremely wide at the base, then tapered off at the fingertips

Palmistry expert Johnny pointed out that Prince Philip’s fingers were extremely wide at the base, then tapered off at the fingertips.

‘This is the sign of someone who’s very tactile and wants the best of everything,’ he said.

‘They’re very fussy about the food they eat, they have an exquisite taste in wine and want to live in luxury.

‘This also applies to their attitude to the opposite sex – they want to have a beautiful partner.’

If your fingers have thin, athletic bases, then you’re the opposite. ‘A lot of Buddhist monks have this type of finger,’ said Johnny.

‘SENSITIVE’ BEATRICE ‘NEEDS TO BE PROTECTED’

According to Johnny, 'sensitive' Beatrice has a 'water hand', meaning the palm is 'rectangular with long fingers' - and will need 'protecting'

According to Johnny, ‘sensitive’ Beatrice has a ‘water hand’, meaning the palm is ‘rectangular with long fingers’ – and will need ‘protecting’.

‘Water handed people are highly sensitive, vulnerable and highly cultured, with a strong sense of compassion for others,’ he explained.

‘She won’t be terribly good and withstanding the slings and arrows of unpopularity and experiencing negativity.

‘Her hand shows a strong sense of empathy and a need to be protected. She will be sympathetic to the needs of others and will want to insure herself against loss and hurt. Often females with water hands marry someone older and more secure financially and solid than themselves to have someone to lean on.’

He pointed out that her index finger standing out away from the other digits is ‘an indication of someone that doesn’t want to rely on her parents as a stable influence’.

‘She will want to put distance, both physical and psychological, away from her parents as soon as she is able and will want stability from her partner or from her own capacity to establish it,’ he added.

‘The middle (Saturn) finger is also bent, this shows a bent and unstable parenting, and one that she would be keen to avoid repeating with her own children.

‘The two digits (Jupiter and Saturn) show a strong sense of wanting a very different life for herself than the role she was brought up to fulfil. However, her sensitive nature will mean that she will avoid great displays of complaint and rebellion, she will move quietly and discreetly through life.’

Johnny also described a strong ‘headline’, which is slightly curved and ‘very fine in nature’.

‘She is clearly well educated and highly intelligent. There is articulacy and a gift for language and communication,’ he continued.

‘The heart line is fine and curved, showing a good capacity to relate and for romance. The many fine lines of the radial side of the palm show a high level of stress.’

‘BUBBLY’ EUGENIE IS DETERMINED TO CARVE OUT HER OWN PATH

'Eugenie has a fire hand - a rectangular palm with medium length fingers,' Johnny shared - meaning she is determined to stand on her own two feet

‘Eugenie has a fire hand – a rectangular palm with medium length fingers,’ Johnny shared – meaning she is determined to stand on her own two feet

‘Eugenie has a fire hand – a rectangular palm with medium length fingers,’ Johnny shared – meaning she is determined to stand on her own two feet.

‘This is a very different personality to her sister – outgoing, extrovert, lively and bubbly,’ he said.

‘She has a drive to perform, achieve and attain goals and is going to be very much the stronger and more robust sister.

‘The fire hand can make for someone that jumps in with both feet, without considering all the possible outcomes, so there is always the capacity to leap in too fast and make mistakes.’

Her features also point to high ambitions and independence.

‘Her index (Jupiter) finger is very long. This shows a bossy and very much a controlling pattern, she can be a little overwhelming at times,’ the palmistry expert said.

‘The long index shows a responsible, confident and protective instinct towards those close to them, so she will be the one to reach out and to guard and protect her mother and sister when they are battered by the currents of life.

‘She has a strong drive to push herself to ideal levels and to get what she wants. Her high expectations for herself will mean she will want a fantastic marriage, a wonderful house, beautiful children and will be a little unrealistic in her ambitions.’

Meanwhile, other details suggest she sometimes acts before she speaks.

‘The head line is tied to the lifeline and so not so well educated, refined and intelligent as her older sister,’ Johnny added.

‘This may be a problem, as she won’t think things through before speaking and acting. This is a demanding personality, but one that will try hard to live up her ideals and will put the work in.

‘Like her sister, she has a bent middle (Saturn) finger, so will want to bring up her own children in a very different manner than within her own upbringing.

‘She is much quicker on her feet than her sister and less prone to worry about hurts and criticisms in general. She has a lot of activity lines, so is always up to something: lots of projects on the go and probably a lot of social and business connections.’
