Aston Villa Triumphs 4-3 Over Sunderland in Thrilling Finale; Standout Performance Signals England Potential to Thomas Tuchel

0

In an electrifying showdown, Tammy Abraham clinched a dramatic 93rd-minute goal, propelling Aston Villa toward Champions League contention with a thrilling 4-3 win against Sunderland.

Just when it seemed that Unai Emery’s team had squandered their victory, Sunderland staged a stunning comeback with goals in the 86th and 87th minutes, leveling the score from a 3-1 deficit. However, Abraham’s decisive late strike secured the triumph for Villa.

Sports analyst Ciaran Foreman from the Daily Mail dissected the nail-biting match.

ARE YOU WATCHING, THOMAS?

Ollie Watkins, having netted only once in his last nine appearances for Emery’s squad, contrasted sharply with Leeds’ Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who was enjoying a red-hot streak.

It’s little wonder that during Watkins’ dry spell, Aston Villa’s performance dipped, managing only two victories out of those nine encounters.

So, what a time it is for him to come back into form.

The 30-year-old bagged two instinctive finishes either side of a Chris Rigg equaliser inside the first half here at Villa Park, taking his tally to six goals in the last five games.

For his first, credit must go to Villa’s tireless captain John McGinn, who darted behind the Sunderland defence and looped a cross to the back-post for Watkins to head home.

For Watkins’ second, Morgan Rogers was imperious. Bullying and teasing Nordi Mukiele on Villa’s left, the youngster found Ian Maatsen, who fizzed a ball across the face of goal for Watkins to nod it beyond Robin Roefs after 36 minutes.

Watkins repaid the favour to his team-mate in the second 45, finding Rogers with a sumptuous pass before the 23-year-old completed an excellent team goal just one minute after the restart.

Tuchel, who is looking for a deputy to Harry Kane at this summer’s World Cup, will surely have raised a smile if he watched proceedings unfold. Watkins may well be his answer.

‘Ollie was fantastic,’ Unai Emery said in his post-match press conference. ‘Not only scoring goals, but working, how he ran, duels with the defence and fighting.’

EMERY’S EUROPEAN HUNGER

There is an insatiable appetite that Emery has for European football that perhaps no manager in the continent shares

The four-time Europa League winner’s Villa side came into Sunday’s tie on the back of just three Premier League wins since the turn of the New Year.

Yet, on the back of their 4-0 trouncing of Bologna to book a semi-final place in the Europa League, they have come alive in the Premier League again – to hunt down Champions League qualification at the earliest opportunity.

They did not make it easy for themselves here, and there are tougher tests to come in the form of Liverpool – who are chasing their tail in 5th place – and Man City away on the final game of the season.

Sunderland scored twice in 58 seconds and almost spoiled the day in the West Midlands

Sunderland scored twice in 58 seconds and almost spoiled the day in the West Midlands

But should they see this out – either by winning the Europa League or finishing in the top five – they will have qualified for Europe’s premier competition twice since the Spaniard arrived in the West Midlands.

In just four weeks time, the architects behind the two statues currently outside Villa Park may have to start work on another – this time of a man with slicked back hair from the Basque Country.

BOX OFFICE BLACK CATS

Regis Le Bris’s Sunderland side have been one of the stories of the season, and they duly lived up to that title at Villa Park.

The visitors looked dead and buried after Rogers sucker-punch goal but, after capitalising on a defensive mishap from Jadon Sancho, hoisted themselves back into the game through Trai Hume’s finish from a tight angle.

Just 58 seconds later, Wilson Isidor, who replaced Brian Brobbey from the bench, stunned the home crowd as he fired beyond Emiliano Martinez to make it 3-3.

They could – and possibly should – even have taken all three points when Habib Diarra was bearing down on goal in the seven minutes of injury time.

But the 22-year-old opted to chip the streetwise Emiliano Martinez, who saved the ball with his fingertips before starting the attack that saw Abraham nick it for Villa in the end.

Le Bris said he was proud of his players for their spirit, and revealed that Diarra apologised to his team-mates in the dressing room post-match.

‘He felt it was a key moment in this game,’ the Sunderland boss said. ‘I don’t know about his decision-making. The goalkeeper played the situation properly, so it’s tough to say.’

Ultimately it was not to be for the Black Cats, who could have leapt up to 6th place with a win, but they have been a welcome addition to the Premier League this season.

Revealing Insights: ‘Mormon Wives’ Stars Open Up About Their Plastic Surgery Journeys

The stars of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives are known for their openness, and when it comes to cosmetic enhancements, several cast members have spoken frankly about their decisions to undergo surgery. Their transparency has been both refreshing and enlightening for fans.

One such candid moment came in January 2026, when Jessi Draper offered a heartfelt update on her recovery process following an upper and lower blepharoplasty, along with facial fat injections. Draper took to TikTok, humorously addressing her appearance while applying ice to her face. “Believe it or not, this is not how I want to look,” she joked. “I’m still healing, I’m still swollen. This is not the look I’m going for, it’s just part of the process.”

Draper has been vocal about her cosmetic journey, having previously shared insights on social media. In August 2025, she expressed her enthusiasm for the procedure in a TikTok post, saying, “I’m super excited about it. It’s really just to help with loose skin in the under-eye.”

Jessi Draper Opens Up About Eyelid Surgery

Jessi Draper has documented her upper and lower blepharoplasty on social media, explaining via TikTok in August 2025, “I’m super excited about it. It’s really just to help loose skin in the under-eye.”

Why Taylor Frankie Paul Underwent a Breast Augmentation

Taylor Frankie Paul shared in season 4 of Mormon Wives that she underwent a breast augmentation before filming season 22 of The Bachelorette. (ABC pulled Taylor’s season in March 2026 amid allegations of a domestic dispute between the lead and ex Dakota Mortensen.)

“I’m having a breast augmentation done again. I had it a few years back,” Taylor said in an episode. “But I will say just having a baby, some things I was, like, unsure of, really, up here. So I’m like, ‘Let’s just go get a little, let’s say, touch-up, if you will.”

“I’m doing it one, to feel good about myself, but two, for The Bachelorette,” Taylor explained. “I think I’m about to be in a lot of dresses which normally — if you know me, I’m not in dresses, so I just kind of want to feel good in them.”

Jessi Draper Admits She Has ‘Self-Confidence Issues’

In March 2026, Jessi Draper got candid about her decision to undergo a recent cosmetic procedure on her face.

“I have such self-confidence issues, and looking back, I can totally see how I was blinded by those,” she told Allure at the time. “I was beautiful and I wasn’t able to say that a few months ago, and I can say that now.”

Jessi Draper Addresses Body-Shamers

In July 2025, Jessi Draper hit back at body-shamers on social media, writing via her Instagram Story, “Just a gentle reminder that it’s never OK to comment on a woman’s post, ‘You’re looking more transgender by the day,’ or ‘Your features are so masculine,’” Jessi, 33, wrote to fans via her Instagram Story. “Most of the time these comments don’t get to me, but I’m feeling very emo today and want to never post again so thank you trolls.”

Jessi went on to note that those “trolls” were mocking the results of a jaw realignment procedure she’d had to fix her temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ).

“I have a defined jaw line because of a TMJ surgery I got, and I swear it’s the number one thing that people tell me makes me look like a man,” she said. “Sorry Karen, I can’t control that?! I also get roasted for getting plastic surgery done but then get endless comments about my looks that make me more insecure so you can never win.”

Why Layla Taylor Underwent a Breast Implant Revision

Layla Taylor revealed in March 2026 that she decided to get a breast implant revision to reclaim her “confidence.” Layla and her plastic surgeon Dr. Daniel Barrett opened up about the procedure in a video shared via his official Instagram account, where the reality star explained she wanted her chest size to be more aligned with her body.

“I’ve been thinking about getting my boobs redone for, honestly, since I got them done,” she said in the clip. Taylor added, “I just wanted a fresher look.”

Tragic Mass Shootings Claim Lives of Eight Young Victims Aged 1 to 14 in Shreveport, Louisiana

In a devastating incident that has rocked Shreveport, Louisiana, eight children, including an infant, lost their lives in a mass shooting. The tragedy unfolded on Saturday night when a gunman, in a fit of madness, targeted three different homes across the city.

Authorities report that a total of ten individuals were struck by gunfire, with eight succumbing to their injuries. The victims, tragically, ranged in age from just one year old to 14 years. The Shreveport Police Department confirmed that some of those killed were related to the assailant, described as his “descendants,” during a news briefing by spokesperson Christopher Bordelon.

Following the horrific events, the shooter attempted to flee the scene by carjacking a vehicle. However, his escape was thwarted when police officers intercepted and fatally shot him. Officials have revealed that the crime scene extended across two homes on a single street and a third home located nearby, underscoring the extensive nature of the attack.

Following the shooting, the gunman carjacked a vehicle and tried to escape, before being shot dead by cops, according to authorities.

The crime scene was described as “extensive” and spanned two homes on the same street and a third on a nearby street.

“The individual responsible once leaving this scene performed a carjacking right here in close proximity to the corner of West 79th and Lynnwood, at which point in time, Shreveport police patrol officers got behind that vehicle in a chase incident,” Bordelon said.

Footage Captures Hot Air Balloon’s Emergency Landing in Temecula Backyard with 13 Aboard

0

In an unexpected turn of events in Temecula, California, a hot air balloon with 13 passengers made an unplanned landing in a residential backyard, leaving local homeowners astonished. The incident, captured on video, has now become a topic of conversation as the homeowners share their remarkable story with KABC, an ABC affiliate.

Saturday morning took a surprising twist for one Temecula household as the hot air balloon descended upon their property. It was an unconventional landing no one saw coming.

The unexpected arrival unfolded around 8:30 a.m. while the homeowner, Hunter Perrin, was unwinding in front of the television. A sudden knock from a neighbor prompted him to the door.

“I opened the door, and the neighbor exclaimed, ‘They just landed in your backyard!'” Perrin recounted, still in disbelief. “I was completely taken aback!”

Curiosity piqued, Perrin and his wife, Jenna, who had been in another part of the house, hurried outside to witness the unusual scene firsthand.

“I open the sliding glass door, and there’s a basket full of thirteen people in my backyard!” Perrin said. “The pilot, he was masterful. He got it right down inside, like directly into the backyard, where there was nothing. The balloon didn’t catch on anything. No one was injured.”

The homeowners say the hot air balloon pilot told them the wind died, forcing him to make an emergency landing.

“You can kind of see in the video of how they came in. He kind of plopped straight down and was moving very slowly,” Perrin said.

“And I run to the backyard, and there’s a whole group of people that are just waving at me,” Jenna said. “And I’m like, ‘Oh my God. So the sound I heard was the flames?!’ And I’m like… hi!’”

Incredibly, there was no damage in the backyard and no one was injured.

KABC spoke to one of the passengers about the moments that led up to the emergency landing.

“At first I was like, ‘Oh my God! We’re in a backyard! This is crazy!’” said hot air balloon passenger Brianna Avalos.

Avalos and her husband were taking their first hot air balloon ride to celebrate their 10th anniversary. As they started approaching the neighborhood, Avalos says the pilot made an announcement.

“He said there’s not enough wind, because the wind kind of like, stopped a little bit. And he was like, ‘We’re going to land.’ And we only had a little bit of fuel left,” Avalos said.

Neighbors gathered in the street to watch.

“He was trying to get us to the street, but we couldn’t get to the street in time, so we landed in the people’s backyard safe and sound, like no one’s hurt, everyone’s great. He was an amazing pilot!” Avalos said.

Revitalize Thigh Muscles After 60: 5 Chair Exercises That Outperform Squats

0

Revitalize your thigh strength with this expert-approved 5-move chair routine designed specifically for those over 60.

Thigh strength plays a crucial role in virtually every daily activity. From standing up and walking around your home to getting in and out of your car or simply sitting down, strong upper leg muscles are essential. When these muscles are in optimal condition, your movements become more fluid and controlled, and your knees benefit from the added support.

Throughout my career, I’ve helped numerous clients regain their thigh strength through methods that are both approachable and sustainable. One of the most effective techniques involves using a chair for a stable starting position. This allows you to concentrate on the sensation of each repetition, perfect your form, and maintain the proper muscle tension. This meticulous attention to detail can lead to significant improvements over time.

Incorporating these chair-based exercises into your routine offers a straightforward way to enhance your thigh strength with precision and consistency. They can seamlessly fit into your daily schedule and serve as a quick warm-up before engaging in more vigorous activities. With regular practice, you’ll notice your legs becoming stronger and more dependable.

These chair-based exercises offer a simple path to building your thigh strength back up with control and consistency. They fit easily into your routine and can be done on their own or as a quick warm-up before getting moving. Stick with them, and you’ll start to feel your legs supporting you in a stronger, more reliable way.

Sit-to-Stand

Sit-to-stand’s hit close to home because it’s something you already do every single day. The difference here is that you’re slowing it down and putting some intention behind it. Your quads take on a big share of the work as you stand up, and this gives them a chance to build strength in a way that directly carries over into real life. You’ll also start to notice how much control you have on the way back down, which is where a lot of people either rush or lose tension. Staying controlled here builds strength through the entire movement, not just the easy part. Over time, that control shows up in how steady you feel on your feet. It’s one of those exercises that looks simple but adds up quickly when you do it right.

Muscles Trained: Quadriceps, glutes, hamstrings, and core

How to Do It:

  1. Sit tall in a chair with your feet flat on the ground.
  2. Lean slightly forward and engage your core.
  3. Press through your feet and stand up.
  4. Fully extend your hips at the top.
  5. Lower yourself back down with control.
  6. Repeat for your reps.

Recommended Sets and Reps: Perform 3 sets of 8 to 12 reps. Rest for 45 to 60 seconds between each set

Best Variations: Box squats, tempo sit-to-stands, assisted sit-to-stands

Form Tip: Drive through your heels to keep tension on your thighs.

Seated Leg Extensions

This is where you really get to zero in on your quads. When you extend your leg and hold that top position for a second, you can feel the muscle working in a very direct way. That kind of focused contraction helps rebuild strength and bring some life back into the muscle. It also helps improve how your knees feel during everyday movement, especially when you’re walking or standing for longer periods. What makes this one effective is how controlled it can be. You’re not relying on momentum or speed, just clean movement and steady tension. Over time, that consistency helps your thighs feel stronger and more responsive. It’s simple, but it works.

Muscles Trained: Quadriceps, hip flexors, and stabilizing core muscles

How to Do It:

  1. Sit tall in a chair with your feet flat on the floor.
  2. Engage your core and straighten one leg.
  3. Lift until your leg is fully extended.
  4. Pause briefly at the top.
  5. Lower back down with control.
  6. Alternate sides and repeat.

Recommended Sets and Reps: Perform 3 sets of 10 to 15 reps per side. Rest for 30 to 45 seconds between each set

Best Variations: Slow tempo extensions, alternating holds, ankle-weight extensions

Form Tip: Squeeze your quads at the top of each rep.

Seated Knee Drives

Seated knee drives bring a bit more rhythm into the mix. As you drive your knee up, your quads and hip flexors work together to control the movement, and your core has to stay engaged to keep you steady. That coordination plays a bigger role than most people expect in walking and moving comfortably. You’ll start to feel how each side of your body contributes to the movement, which helps clean up any imbalances. It also gives your thighs a slightly different challenge compared to straight extensions. When done with control, it builds strength and coordination simultaneously. It’s a great way to keep things moving while still building muscle.

Muscles Trained: Quadriceps, hip flexors, lower abdominals, and core stabilizers

How to Do It:

  1. Sit tall with your feet flat on the ground.
  2. Engage your core and lift your right knee upward.
  3. Bring it as high as you comfortably can.
  4. Lower it back down with control.
  5. Alternate to the other side.
  6. Continue for your reps.

Recommended Sets and Reps: Perform 3 sets of 10 to 15 reps per side. Rest for 30 to 45 seconds between each set

Best Variations: Slow marches, alternating holds, band-resisted drives

Form Tip: Keep your torso steady as your legs move.

Seated Heel-Elevated Extensions

This variation adds a small twist that changes how your quads have to work. By elevating your heel slightly, you shift more of the tension into your thighs, making the movement feel a bit more demanding. It’s subtle, but you’ll notice the difference pretty quickly once you get into it. This helps build strength through a slightly different angle, which is great for rounding things out. It also keeps your muscles from getting too comfortable doing the same pattern every time. When you stay controlled with this one, your quads stay under tension longer, which helps drive progress. It’s a simple adjustment that adds a lot of value.

Muscles Trained: Quadriceps, hip flexors, and stabilizing muscles

How to Do It:

  1. Sit tall with one heel slightly elevated.
  2. Engage your core and extend your leg.
  3. Lift until your leg is straight.
  4. Pause briefly at the top.
  5. Lower back down slowly.
  6. Alternate sides and repeat.

Recommended Sets and Reps: Perform 3 sets of 10 to 12 reps per side. Rest for 30 to 45 seconds between each set

Best Variations: Tempo reps, alternating holds, ankle-weight variations

Form Tip: Control the lowering phase to keep tension on your quads.

Seated Band Hip Abduction

Banded hip abductions bring your outer thighs and hips into the mix, which play a big role in how stable and supported you feel when you’re on your feet. When these muscles are doing their job, your knees tend to track more smoothly and your legs feel more controlled as you move. Sitting down with a band around your legs gives you a chance to really focus on that area without worrying about balance or setup. As you press your knees outward, you’ll feel those outer hip muscles kick in almost right away. It’s a different type of effort compared to the other movements, but it fills in a gap that a lot of people miss. Over time, this strength carries over into your stride and helps everything feel more connected from the ground up. It’s a strong way to round out the routine and give your hips the attention they deserve.

Muscles Trained: Glute medius, glute minimus, outer thighs, and hip stabilizers

How to Do It:

  1. Sit tall in a chair with a resistance band placed around your thighs.
  2. Keep your feet flat on the ground.
  3. Engage your core and press your knees outward against the band.
  4. Hold briefly at the end range.
  5. Return to the starting position with control.
  6. Repeat for your reps.

Recommended Sets and Reps: Perform 3 sets of 12 to 15 reps. Rest for 30 to 45 seconds between each set

Best Variations: Longer holds, heavier bands, pulsing reps

Form Tip: Keep your chest tall and avoid leaning as you press outward.

The Best Tips for Building Thigh Strength After 60

Building strength through your thighs tends to come down to how well you stay connected to each rep and how consistently you come back to it. These muscles respond quickly when you keep tension where it belongs and avoid rushing through the movement. When your quads start doing more of the work again, you’ll feel it in how steady and supported your legs feel throughout the day. That shift usually shows up sooner than expected when the reps are done with a bit more intention.

  • Own the lowering phase: Take your time as you sit back down or lower your leg. That’s where a lot of strength gets built, and it’s often rushed.
  • Feel the top position: When your leg is fully extended, pause for a second and let your quad fully contract before moving on.
  • Keep your feet grounded: Pressing through your entire foot helps distribute force more evenly and keeps your thighs more engaged.
  • Watch your knee tracking: Let your knees move naturally in line with your toes to keep the movement smooth and supported.
  • Stay tall through your torso: Your posture affects how much work your thighs have to do, especially during seated movements.
  • Use shorter sets with better focus: Quality reps with full attention tend to build strength faster than longer sets done on autopilot.

This is why some of the most beloved series in the genre are often crafted with just a minimal crew and a few brave souls exploring deserted locales. Many of these classic shows continue to captivate audiences, even years after their original late-night debuts.

As someone who has been an avid follower of paranormal content—from ghostly encounters to UFO sightings—since the 1980s, I’ve practically seen it all in this realm. Whether your preference leans toward reality-infused excitement or scripted supernatural drama, here are five must-watch paranormal TV shows that deserve a place on your viewing list.

For those who enjoy a comedic twist on paranormal clichés, “Scare Tactics” is a hidden camera prank series that you won’t want to miss. Debuting in 2003, each episode involves a target set up by a friend, unknowingly thrust into a horror-inspired scenario, often revolving around a seemingly ordinary job or event they’re attending with their friend.

Similar to Amazon Prime’s comedic series “Jury Duty,” where everyone but the unsuspecting participant is in on the joke, “Scare Tactics” places its victim in outlandish situations—ranging from secretive government sites to eerie spas and viral outbreaks. As the scenario unravels into chaos, an actor in the sketch dramatically asks, “Are you scared?” The tension builds until the punchline is delivered: “Because you shouldn’t be! You’re on Scare Tactics!”

Scare Tactics

If you enjoy shows that parody all the best paranormal tropes, you’ll love “Scare Tactics,” the super addictive hidden camera prank show that first aired in 2003. Each episode features a victim set up by a friend to be placed into a scene inspired by some horror trope, often revolving around some type of gig work or event they’re supposed to be attending with their friend.

Much like Amazon Prime’s fake jury duty comedy docu-series “Jury Duty,” everyone but the victim is in on the gag as the unwitting mark finds himself or herself faced with a range of scenarios involving things like government black sites, spa centers fueled by human blood, viral outbreaks, UFOs, and mad scientists. As the scene deteriorates from sane to absurd and each victim begins to visibly spiral, one of the sketch actors will ask ominously, “Are you scared?” pausing just momentarily enough to elicit some level of response before finishing, “Because you shouldn’t be! You’re on Scare Tactics!”

A few familiar faces also add to the fun and nostalgia of this series, which was first hosted by the late Shannen Doherty, who died in 2024 at just 53, before being taken over by the hilarious Tracy Morgan after a season hosted by Stephen Baldwin. Viewers may also spy Judah Friedlander, Marc Evan Jackson from “The Good Place,” Lauren Ash from “Superstore,” or “Glee” actor Dot-Marie Jones in some of the sketches. There are even a few new episodes from the show’s 2024 Jordan Peele reboot season. Catch uncensored episodes of old “Scare Tactics” on YouTube and check out the newer ones on Peacock.

Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction

For more of the same spooky-but-low-intensity retro turn-of-the-millennium vibes, check out “Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction,” an anthology series that challenges viewers to guess which of its hard-to-believe stories are the real ones. The show’s first season is hosted by James Brolin, with “Star Trek” actor and director Jonathan Frakes taking over from the second season forward, Riker charm in full effect.

Episodes present five short stories that might be real but probably aren’t, all told through writing and acting of a quality ranging from campy to downright ridiculous. Many of the show’s stories deal with urban legends, even those that claim to be true. But as silly as they might seem, they’re silly in the same way stories told in a whispered hush at a slumber party are. Take the tale of the young woman who believes she is pregnant only to have a bouncing baby octopus removed from inside of her digestive tract — sure, it’s ridiculous, but it’s also absolute nightmare fuel. Between the Riker beard, the corny storytelling, and the instant gratification of spooky little low-effort shorts, this show is a guilty pleasure every paranormal fan should watch, and episodes are available to watch for free on YouTube.

The X-Files

Conspiracy theories might run rampant today, but there’s nothing quite like the thrill of falling down a spooky pre-internet conspiracy theory rabbit hole like the early 1990s theories that fueled the lore behind “The X-Files.” If you’re a fan of the paranormal and you’ve never had the pleasure of binging this excellent sci-fi/paranormal series, it’s essential viewing you won’t want to miss.

The primetime drama follows FBI agents Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) and Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) as they work together investigating the infamous “X-Files,” the designation for unassigned cases with a potential link to something unexplained — often allegedly supernatural or extraterrestrial in nature. Originally assigned to Mulder in hopes that he would debunk the files or in some way mitigate the profiler’s more paranoid tendencies, Scully serves as the skeptical character foil for her partner’s extreme and unconventional methods, all while frequently drawing on her medical background and conducting forensic autopsies as needed. Eerie, intense, charming, and occasionally funny, the moody drama weaves a complicated and elaborate mythology rooted in American extraterrestrial lore over the course of its run. But the show’s many monster-of-the-week episodes touch on a wide range of paranormal topics, covering everything from ghost ships and were-creatures to a nebulous underground carnivorous mushroom.

It’s hard to oversell how genre-defining this series proved when it first aired. During the show’s run, the series completely reframed everything we thought we knew about science fiction, horror, and scripted TV drama in general. Catch Mulder and Scully chasing down all manner of ghosts, aliens, and lizard people while rocking the sassiest pantsuits and a fog of sexual tension so thick it’s almost paranormal on Hulu in time for the upcoming Ryan Coogler “X-Files” revival.

Supernatural

Although the premise is completely different, “Supernatural” follows a similar format to “The X-Files” as the show follows a pair of brothers who travel the country investigating potentially paranormal cases — or as the brothers put it, “Saving people, hunting things — the family business.”

By and large, most investigations tend to tie into the show’s overarching mythology, a supernatural reality full of angels, demons, ghosts, and spiritual warfare. But the supernatural mythology is expansive enough to encompass a big tent full of spooky creatures and topics: things like djinn, werewolves, leviathans, shapeshifters, and even fairies.

Much like “The X-Files,” “Supernatural” is a mix of both mythology episodes and monster-of-the-week entries in its long 15-season run — enough episodes to take up your binge viewing time for a year. And while there are plenty of serious episodes, “Supernatural” is full of witty one-liners, running gags, and comedic or even downright silly episodes like the animated “Scooby-Doo” mystery. Created by Eric Kripke, the creator of Amazon Prime’s “The Boys,” the series is full of likable, well-rounded characters beginning with the show’s adorable Winchester brothers Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles), right down to the show’s fan-favorite villain Crowley (Mark Sheppard). You can check “Supernatural” out on Prime.

Twin Peaks

“Twin Peaks” is unlike just about anything else in its genre because it’s hard to even really define the show’s drama. Surprisingly cinematic and experimental for television by today’s standards, but especially back in 1990 when it first aired, “Twin Peaks” would change TV forever by keeping viewers locked into its central mystery and refusing to get boxed into any one genre.

Starring Kyle MacLachlan as FBI Agent Dale Cooper, the offbeat, ambient drama revolves around the eponymous small Pacific Northwestern town, a community full of bizarre and memorable characters, all holding onto their own buried secrets. The story begins with the discovery of the town’s prom queen, Laura Palmer (Sheryl Lee), murdered and wrapped in plastic along the cold beach. But what begins as a straightforward murder mystery slowly becomes infused with strange, paranormal, and supernatural elements from owls that are not what they seem to malevolent beings living in Twin Peaks to Dale Cooper’s visions of the otherworldly Black Lodge. Catch “Twin Peaks” on Paramount+ or watch for free on PlutoTV.

Vogue Williams Opens Up About Two Miscarriages and Joyful Yet Anxious Journey to Her Fourth Pregnancy

Vogue Williams has opened up about enduring two miscarriages before successfully conceiving her fourth child, including a particularly painful and devastating loss that occurred around a year ago.

The 40-year-old television presenter and her husband, Spencer Matthews, joyfully announced on Thursday that they are expecting another addition to their family.

In a heartfelt video shared on her YouTube channel, Vogue discussed her pregnancy for the first time, expressing to her audience the deep sense of loss she felt, describing the experience as if her body had betrayed her.

While Vogue and Spencer are thrilled about their growing family, the previous miscarriages have left her feeling anxious throughout this pregnancy.

The duo, who tied the knot in 2018, are already proud parents to Theodore, seven, Gigi, five, and Otto, three.

Vogue shared that her first miscarriage, which happened at around four weeks, was ‘really upsetting,’ but she and Spencer went on to welcome their daughter Gigi in 2020.

She said they suffered further heartache last year when she went for a 12-week scan after falling pregnant, only to be told it ‘wasn’t really a pregnancy’ as the embryo hadn’t grown.

The presenter and her husband Spencer Matthews shared the happy news on Thursday that they are set to welcome another child to their family

Vogue said she was ‘really embarrassed’ and ‘upset’ by the second loss, and she admitted she felt like ‘her body had failed her.’

Speaking about their baby news at the start of the video, Spencer shared: ‘We’re so happy. We feel very… hard this time round to get to where we wanted.

‘Definitely more bumps in the road in order to actually get pregnant, but obviously we feel really fortunate anyway to have three kids, but this one’s been harder to get to that, well this bit, the announcing, but also just to actually get to where we wanted to be, has been been rough.’

Vogue then opened up about her first miscarriage, sharing: ‘It happened to me before I had Gigi. It was so early on, like so so early on. We hadn’t had any scans. We hadn’t had anything like that.

‘I must have been maybe a month if even, and it was just one of those things and it was, it was awful, but it was everything happened quite quickly after it as well.

‘So, I never really kind of thought about it much. It was really upsetting at the time, but then I was pregnant quite quickly after, but it actually happened to me last year as well. And it was, just I was literally about to tell the kids.

‘You could kind of start telling I was three months and I just didn’t go for an early scan. I just never even thought about it because I kind of didn’t want to make a fuss – stupid now!’

‘I went to the 12 week scan on my own, I told quite a few people about it, like my parents, my brother, and my sister, and some people at work. And I just hadn’t told the kids.’

Vogue shared that when she visited the hospital for the 12-week scan, she immediately noted the concern from her doctor.

She explained: ‘And basically what had happened was, he had the pregnancy sack. I forget what the whole thing was called, but basically the embryo hadn’t grown, my body still thought it was pregnant.

‘And usually you just naturally get a miscarriage, but I didn’t. It just kept like it would have eventually happened, but it just didn’t at the time.

‘I was three months along and [the doctor] was just like, ”I’m really sorry, it’s just, it’s not it’s not really a pregnancy and you’re going to have to get well, there’s a couple of options.”

‘So the very nice people at Chelsea and Westminster NHS, thank you so much. They were really amazing with it.

‘Obviously when I found out I was like ”I just don’t want to have to feel pregnant anymore” because it was awful feeling it and not being it, because I still had the symptoms.

‘I was just like, I just want to start again and just not have to deal with it.

‘We were really upset. I was really upset. Stupidly I felt embarrassed having to tell everybody, and it’s not an embarrassing thing but that was just an emotion I had.

‘I was really upset and then I felt like ”oh God I have to now tell everybody who I’ve told” and I just feel stupid, like my body has kind of failed me kind of thing.

‘And then I went in to the doctor and they said, ”Well, we could give you tablets,” but I was going to Spain at the end of the week and I was just like: ”I just don’t want to have to change all that for the kids and for myself and I don’t want to be stuck here on my own and I just want to be done.’

‘So they offered me a DNC as well, which you go in, you have an operation.

‘It’s really quick. I went in and I did that and it was really quick and then the whole thing was just like, I was so happy to be going away because at least then I didn’t have to be, I was kind of able to just be on my own in my own thoughts and be able to think about it.’

Vogue then shared that her heartbreaking loss meant she had felt ‘nervous’ throughout her fourth pregnancy.

She continued: ‘I wasn’t sure if I was going to say it now, but I’m going to be just, I feel like this this pregnancy now I’m just always going to be, I’m always nervous, and sometimes I’m grateful that I feel so sick all the time because then I know it’s there and it’s what it should be.

‘I just thought that I would tell that story and hopefully it helps other people who that happens to and there can be light at the end of the tunnel.’

‘I wasn’t sure if we wanted to try again, because I just felt like, I really don’t want to have to go through that again.

‘I’m glad we did obviously, but now I just have this constant nervousness around hoping that everything is going to be all right.

‘I think that I was like. I got looked after very well. I know it doesn’t always happen with people, but I think that I was just I was in and out very quickly within two days and then I got to go away.

‘Because I got to go away, I got to just be with in my own thoughts. I wasn’t at work all day, so it was quite good and now I’m very happy that we are pregnant again.

‘But as I said, the nerves will kind of always be there. And I keep saying, and it’s so annoying, but I just I don’t know why.

‘I find I’m never sure if I should say this, because so many people go through really bad things like this and sometimes worse.

‘I have friends who have had very very late pregnancies go wrong like six months down the line. So it was three months and obviously it’s still heartbreaking for anyone. But I just feel lucky that we’re able to be here now and be pregnant again.

‘I’m starting to I feel like, when you get to that stage, 12 weeks – what’s it called? The second trimester. How do I forget? I’m forgetting everything!

‘I’m kind of getting to that stage of I’ve got my energy back. I’m starting to feel slightly better. So yeah, I just thought I would share that. I don’t really know how to end this, but thank you for listening to the vlog.’

Later in the video, Vogue shared that she was heading to the hospital for an early scan after her previous miscarriage, and all had gone well.

The video also featured the sweet moment Vogue and Spencer told their three children they were going to have a new baby brother or sister.

The couple shared their pregnancy news with their social media followers on Thursday, alongside sweet snaps of them from their family trip to St Barts.

In a series of sweet beach snaps, Vogue showed off her growing bump in a black and white bikini and matching sarong, while Spencer gazed adoringly at her.

Beaming for the cameras on the white sandy beach with their three children, the couple wrote: ‘BABY NUMBER 4 INCOMING… ❤️❤️.’

Podcaster Vogue and her former reality star husband Spencer, who share three children, Theodore, seven, Gigi, five, and Otto, three, tied the knot in 2018.

However, they suffered split rumours after they failed to publicly mark their seventh wedding anniversary – months after Spencer stepped down from their joint podcast, Spencer & Vogue, to focus on his own project, Untapped.

But Vogue previously insisted that she and her husband are ‘happy’ and that their marriage is secure, while dispelling past rumours of a potential crisis.

Speaking to The Sun, the presenter said she has reached a point in her life where only ‘their truth’ matters, stressing that they remain very much a happy couple.

She recalled: ‘When he left our podcast, everyone was like, ‘What’s going on?”

Vogue also admitted to worrying about their children hearing the ‘baseless and cruel’ gossip at school.

She had previously addressed the claims in an Instagram post, telling followers: ‘It’s with great sadness that I have to let you know that Spen and I are NOT breaking up!

‘I usually avoid addressing baseless and cruel rumours, but this just keeps coming up.

‘It’s disappointing to see this narrative being pushed almost daily when it’s absolutely not true, and much more importantly, I don’t want my children hearing these lies in the playground.

‘We’re not sure what the angle is or where it’s coming from, but the whole thing feels very strange and mean. We’re very happily married and in love and I hope posting the truth on my own platform might make it stop.’

Asked whether her denial had helped silence the rumours, she told The Sun: ‘Of course not! I’ll probably not bother next time.’
