Naz Reid’s full name is Nazreon Hilton Reid was born on August 26, 1999, in Asbury Park, New Jersey, U.S.

He is an American who plays professional basketball for the National Basketball Association’s (NBA) Minnesota Timberwolves. He was a member of the LSU Tigers basketball team. In 2024, Reid was named the NBA Sixth Man of the Year.

He attended Southeastern Louisiana University after graduating from Roselle Catholic High School.

After graduating from Roselle Catholic High School, Reid went to Southeastern Louisiana University, where he made his college debut on November 6, 2018, scoring 17 points and pulling down 6 rebounds in a 94–63 victory over Southeastern Louisiana University. Three days later, Reid scored his season-high 29 points, grabbing 7 rebounds, and shooting 4–6 from beyond the arc. Reid averaged 13.6 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 0.9 assists during his freshman season. He is an American who plays professional basketball for the National Basketball Association’s (NBA) Minnesota Timberwolves. In 2024, Reid was named the NBA Sixth Man of the Year.On April 3, 2019, he declared for the 2019 NBA draft and hired an agent, foregoing his final three years of college eligibility.

Reid agreed to a three-year, $42 million contract deal with the Timberwolves on June 25, 2023. A player option for the 2025–2026 campaign was part of the extension. According to an LSU official who spoke to ESPN on Sunday, former LSU receiver Kyren Lacy was discovered deceased in Houston on Saturday night.

According to early accounts, suicide was the cause.

Lacy was charged with causing a crash on December 17 that killed a 78-year-old man and then fled the scene without providing assistance or contacting the police.

Lacy’s arrest warrant was issued by Louisiana State Police on January 10, 2025.

Lacy allegedly “recklessly passed multiple vehicles at a high rate of speed by crossing the centerline and entering the northbound lane while in a designated no-passing zone” while operating a 2023 Dodge Charger on Louisiana Highway 20, according to a news release from Louisiana State Police.

“As Lacy was illegally passing the other vehicles, the driver of a northbound pickup truck abruptly braked and swerved to the right to avoid a head-on collision with the approaching Dodge,” according to a news release from the Louisiana State Police.

“A 2017 Kia Cadenza was following the pickup when its driver veered to the left to escape the approaching Dodge Charger.

In an attempt to avoid hitting the Dodge, the Kia Cadenza crossed the centerline and struck a southbound 2017 Kia Sorento head-on.

According to police, Lacy, 24, drove past the scene of the collision and ran away “without stopping to render aid, call emergency services, or report his involvement in the crash.”

State police say Herman Hall, a passenger in the Kia Sorento from Thibodaux, Louisiana, died as a result of his injuries sustained in the collision.

According to a statement from Rocky Arceneaux, Lacy’s agent, his client was “fully cooperating with the authorities.”

He was a wide receiver in American football. He was a member of the LSU Tigers and Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns while playing collegiate football.

He weighs 230 pounds (104 kilograms) and stands 6 feet 2 inches (1.88 meters) tall.

He went to high school in Thibodaux. He caught 54 passes for 864 yards and 18 touchdowns as a senior. As a three-star prospect, he turned down offers from Houston, Louisiana–Monroe, Louisiana Tech, Miami, and Virginia to play collegiate football at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where he was ranked as the 10th wide receiver in Louisiana for the 2020 class.

 

In 2020, Lacy participated in 11 games as a true freshman at Louisiana, hauling in 28 passes for 364 yards and four touchdowns.

The USCG Alaska said that they had found “an aircraft matching the description of the missing plane” in a post on its X page. According to them, the plane was discovered around 34 miles southeast of Nome, Alaska.

The US Coast Guard said on Friday that the 10 people on board the regional airline flight that vanished in Alaska on Thursday have been located and are dead.

According to the USCG, the small commuter plane was discovered Friday approximately 34 miles southeast of Nome.

Three victims were found inside the aircraft by two rescue swimmers, and the remaining seven “are believed to be inside the wreckage,” but they are now inaccessible, USCG Lt. Commander Mike Salerno told CNN.

 

While traveling from Unalakleet to Nome, two cities in western Alaska divided by the Norton Sound inlet, the Bering Air-operated Cessna plane carrying nine passengers and a pilot vanished Thursday afternoon, according to the Alaska State Troopers. The Coast Guard posted a picture of the plane in a snowy area, shattered into bits. The USCG posted on X, “Our thoughts are with those affected by this tragic incident.”

 

According to officials, the missing plane had not used an emergency transmitter to notify its location, which had hindered the hunt for the aircraft.

Authorities have reported that searchers have combed the sea ice offshore and the snowy land in the Nome vicinity. The Coast Guard and US Air Force C-130 personnel conducted preliminary search flights Thursday but were unsuccessful due to poor weather conditions, the Nome Volunteer Fire Department said Friday morning.

In addition to local assistance from the FAA’s aviation safety inspectors, US Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy stated that the agency “is providing an investigator from the Aviation Safety Office of Accident and Prevention.”

 

In a statement posted on X, Duffy stated, “This evening, say a prayer for the ten souls who lost their lives on the Bering Air flight in Alaska.”

During a press briefing on Friday prior to the announcement that a plane had been located, McIntyre-Coble stated that an aircraft involved in the search had discovered “some sort of item of interest” and that the Coast Guard was en route to its location.

Searchers had improved visibility on Friday morning: at around 10 a.m., the sky was clear at Nome Airport, and the temperature was about 5 degrees. According to the fire department, another Coast Guard C-130 landed in Nome to help with the search, and the National Guard and Coast Guard deployed helicopter search teams to the endeavor Friday morning.

According to the fire department on Friday, the aircraft failed to communicate using an emergency locator transmitter, which can transmit distress signals to aid in locating downed planes.

Each aircraft is equipped with an emergency locater transmitter, a device that, in the event that it comes into contact with seawater, transmits a signal to a satellite, which then notifies the Coast Guard if an aircraft is “in distress,” according to McIntyre-Coble.

Irv Gotti, also known as DJ Irv, was born on June 26, 1970, as Irving Domingo Lorenzo Jr.

Irv had African-American and Filipino ancestry. Irv had two sisters and a brother Christopher, who goes by Chris Gotti.

He is a record producer, disc jockey, songwriter, record executive, and television producer. His Genres are Hip-hop and R&B.

 

He co-founded the record label Murder Inc. Records in 1998, which was an imprint of Def Jam Recordings. Irv is recognized for having contributed to the discovery of singer Ashanti and rappers Jay-Z, DMX, and Ja Rule.

According to the MailOnline, CBS, the broadcasting network that televised the Grammys live, really requested the pair to leave because of their concerns.

According to a source who spoke to the site, the television network was afraid that if Kanye and Bianca performed another shocking act during the live broadcast, which took place just hours before the US watershed of 10 pm, they would be fined and chastised by advertisers.

 

“He tried to pull off a big publicity stunt because he is worried he isn’t the center of attention anymore,” the insider said, adding that everyone thought they were nuts.

The Contra Costa County Fire Protection District reports that crews responded to the Martinez Refinery Company after receiving a complaint of flaring.

When equipment malfunctions or shuts down, surplus gas is burned, a process known as flaring.

The refinery was on fire, and the fire department was summoned around 1:40 p.m. on Saturday.

A public health advisory has been issued by the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office for parts of Pacheco, Martinez, and Clyde.

A shelter-in-place public health advice was issued for residents of the Martinez, Pacheco, and Clyde communities on Saturday afternoon due to a fire breakout that started at the Martinez oil refinery during flaring.

“Please go inside, close all windows and doors, and turn off all heaters, air conditioners, and fans. If not using the fireplace, close fireplace dampers and vents, and cover cracks around doors and windows with tape or damp towels,” the Contra Costa Health advisory sent via the county’s public alert system said.

Antioch High School Shooting: Two Students Dead And Two Injured

 

 

On Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at around 11:11 a.m., the Emergency Communications Center got a call regarding gunfire at the school on Hobson Pike, according to Don Aaron, a spokesperson for the Metro Nashville Police Department MNPD.

 

Solomon Henderson, a 17-year-old boy who took the bus to school, reportedly approached a 16-year-old girl named Josselin Corea Escalante in the cafeteria with a pistol in his hand. He then fired several shots, killing the girl and another student before shooting himself in the head, according to Metro Police Chief John Drake. Although they weren’t close to the cafeteria, two school resource officers were inside the facility when the incident occurred.

Both the female student, 16-year-old Josselin Corea Escalante, and the suspect, 17-year-old Solomon Henderson, passed away after the incident; according to MNPD.

 

Another male student was also sent to Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt with a facial injury, although that was from a fall during the mayhem rather than a gunshot. A male student also reportedly had a graze wound to the arm, but he was treated at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Drake stated that it was still unclear whether the victims were the intended targets of the shooting, and police did not immediately have a motive. There was an investigation going on. As of Wednesday evening, police stated that they had not established any link between the shooter and the two pupils who were injured, adding that “it may be that they were struck by his random gunfire in the cafeteria.”

 

As part of the inquiry, police reportedly stated that they were “examining very concerning online writings and social media posts” linked to the shooter.

According to Aaron, the shooting began in the cafeteria at 11:09 a.m. local time. “At 11:11 a.m., police were called to the school,” he claimed.

According to Drake, the gunman arrived at the school by bus. According to the police chief, he may have “retrieved his weapon” in a lavatory before attacking Escalante in the cafeteria.

Without triggering AI weapon recognition algorithms, Henderson managed to enter the school with a nine-millimeter handgun and fire ten rounds in under seventeen seconds. Although it was not reported stolen, authorities confirmed Thursday that the firearm used in the shooting was bought in Arizona in 2022. How the shooter obtained the firearm is still a mystery.

Before relocating to Antioch, the shooter attended school in Montgomery County. Henderson attended Barksdale Elementary and Richview Middle Schools, according to a district official. During the 2020–2021 academic year, he transferred from the Clarksville–Montgomery County School System.

 

This was a devastating day for Antioch High and the whole Nashville community, according to MNPS Director Dr. Adrienne Battle, a former Antioch High administrator. According to her, this tragedy is being investigated, and the leaders are dedicated to learning not only how and why it occurred, but also how to enhance school safety protocols and avoid future occurrences of this kind.

Battle said that Antioch High will be closed for the remainder of the week due to the incident. Officials are also setting up a place where workers and students may get grief counseling.
