David Oliver Sacks is a South African American who was born on May 25, 1972. Born in Cape Town, South Africa, to a Jewish family, Sacks moved to Tennessee, USA, with his family when he was five years old.

Sacks and Evan Owen, a former coworker from Craft, co-founded Glue, a workspace chat startup, in 2021. Their solution is an AI tool that can be called from certain chats on Google Meet and Zoom, enabling staff members to receive AI support while speaking. The public was introduced to it in May 2024.

 

In December 2024, President-elect Donald Trump appointed Sacks the White House AI and Crypto Czar for the new administration.

Along with 27 other members of YSL, Young Thug—whose actual name is Jeffrey Lamar Williams born on August 16, 1991—was arrested in May 2022 and charged with 63 counts of illegal narcotic trafficking, handgun possession, and violation of the Georgia RICO Act.

His trial started in November 2023 after he was placed under remand in the Fulton County Jail without being granted bail.

After agreeing to a compromise that saw him enter a no-contest plea to many crimes, Williams was freed in October 2024 after receiving a time-served sentence and a 15-year probationary period.

 

In a sudden turn of events, rapper Young Thug was released from custody on Thursday after entering a guilty plea to accusations of illicit drugs and firearms charges as well as involvement in a criminal organization. This was the longest trial in Georgia’s history.

In May 2022, 28 suspected street gang members were indicted on counts of racketeering and other offenses, including the 33-year-old Atlanta musician Jeffery Lamar Williams.

The Grammy-winning musician, who is considered a major hip-hop influence, was one of 28 suspected gang members charged with a number of offenses under Georgia’s racketeering laws in 2022. According to the prosecution, Young Thug was the leader of the gang known as Young Slime Life or YSL, and he utilized his record label as a front for illegal activity.

The racketeering indictment listed murder, assault, carjacking, drug peddling, and theft as the underlying offenses.

The Grammy-winning rapper Young Thug admitted guilt to six other counts, including those involving drugs and firearms, but entered a no-contest plea to accusations of racketeering and being the head of a violent street gang.

According to the New York Times, Fulton County Superior Court Judge Paige Reese Whitaker, who took over as the trial’s judge, sentenced him to time served and 15 years of probation.

 

According to an online listing of Fulton County jail records, Young Thug was freed on Thursday under his given name. According to the database listing, the charges were resolved as “time served” or “probation.”

Opening arguments for the case did not take place until November 27, 2023, although jury selection started in January of that year.

Prosecutors said during opening arguments that Young Thug was the boss of a criminal organization that used his musical company, YSL, as a front.

According to Adriane Love, the prosecutor for Fulton County, “the evidence will show that YSL checks all of the boxes for being a criminal street gang.”

 

Love recited lyrics from Young Thug’s song “Take It To Trial,” stating that the lyrics had “an uncanny similarity to very true, and very real, and quite specific events,” as determined by the prosecution.

“We pursued the murder and discovered the lyrics, not the other way around,” she stated.

According to the defense, YSL is an acronym for Young Stoner Life Records, a hip-hop label that Young Thug established in 2016, and that, in their opinion, is more like a loose association of musicians than a gang.

Using the argument that “rap is the only fictional art form treated this way,” defense lawyers had attempted to have lyrics excluded from the evidence.

Taylor’s husband, Cameron Grigg, initially broke the news of her passing on October 5. In a heartfelt, lengthy message, he paid homage to the social media celebrity and said that his late wife’s passing was “sudden and unexpected.” Cameron added that she stays in the hospital to donate her organs. At the time, no further information about her death was made public.

In remembrance of Taylor, the TikToker’s sisters Bailey Rousseau Wagner and Trinity Rousseau also posted on Instagram. Trinity mentioned her sister’s passing “barely short” of turning nineteen.

Bailey shared a black-and-white picture of Taylor on her wedding day in August 2023 as a follow-up to her earlier Instagram post.

The caption included more information on Taylor’s organ donation which was set for Monday, October 7, at 9:30 a.m., the day after her passing.

“She has always wanted to make her mark on the world, but I don’t think she could have anticipated that her legacy would be preserved in this manner, even in her wildest fantasies. And I’m confident that she wouldn’t have preferred it any other way,” Bailey stated. She also mentioned that it couldn’t be more true when a friend remarked that “her “impact” had only recently begun.”

In his initial Instagram post, Cameron said that Taylor’s passing meant “we don’t have anything financially in order,” and he set up a GoFundMe, which they provided a link to.

He said, “We don’t have insurance because Taylor has been in and out of the hospital since we got married, which has affected our financial situation.” I cherish all of you. According to a note on the GoFundMe page, the family is planning a benefit in Taylor’s honor.

Fans’ speculation over the possible breakup between Doja Cat and her boyfriend, J Cyrus, have given rise to rumors about their potential romance.

Doja Cat has been infatuated with Quinn for a long time; in fact, she once referred to him as “criminally attractive” in a public remark on one of his fans’ X postings.

Who Is Joseph Quinn?

 

Joseph Quinn, 30, was born on 26 January 1994 in South London.

He attended drama school at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA), graduating in 2015.

The English actor gained fame in the fourth season of the Netflix series Stranger Things (2022) as Eddie Munson. Concerns that a more deadly variant of the virus, known as Mpox (Monkeypox), had infected four previously unaffected African nations prompted WHO to call an emergency committee meeting. The Democratic Republic of the Congo was the only place where this strain was previously found but it later spread to its neighbouring countries which are Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda.

In order to inform WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus on the seriousness of the outbreak, the independent experts digitally convened on Wednesday. He declared a public health emergency of worldwide concern, the greatest level of alarm permitted by international health law, following that consultation.

On Tuesday, the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention made the first such proclamation by the organization since its founding in 2017: the outbreak is a public health emergency of continental security.

The Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have reported almost 17,000 cases of mpox since the year began, along with over 500 deaths, in 13 African nations. The epidemic is categorized as a “very high risk event.” With almost 14,000 cases, the DRC has the most cases; 96% of confirmed cases this month were reported from there.

 

The sickness had been mostly isolated in Central and West Africa for many years, but in 2022 it started to spread to North America and Europe as well.

 

There are two genetic clades associated with mpox: I and II. A clade is a large, genetically and clinically distinct group of viruses that have developed over many years. The 2022 pandemic was brought on by Clade II, while Clade Ib is more deadly.

Tedros explained, “But we are dealing with several outbreaks of different clades in different countries with different modes of transmission and different levels of risk; we are not dealing with one outbreak of one clade.”

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report that no instances of clade I mpox have been found in the US, but they are keeping an eye on the issue. In order to help efforts in Africa, the US government has provided funding, support, and vaccinations to the WHO and the DRC.

People in the US who are exposed to or at high risk of contracting mpox should get vaccinated, according to a recommendation made by the CDC last week.

The virus might be contained “quite straightforwardly, if we do the right things at the right time,” according to WHO authorities last week.

They are also urging international collaboration in funding studies to better understand clade Ib and its spread, as well as in organizing and funding efforts to contain the outbreak.

Tedros stated on Wednesday that “it’s evident that a coordinated international response is essential to stop these outbreaks and save lives.”

 

Health experts worldwide are becoming concerned as cases of a more deadly strain of mpox have been identified in four African countries.

The World Health Organization reports that the mpox virus, formerly known as monkeypox, has spread to four neighboring countries that had not previously reported cases: Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, and Uganda. In the Democratic Republic of the Congo, there have been over 14,000 reported cases and 511 deaths from the virus.

What Is Mpox (monkeypox)?

 

Mpox (monkeypox) is an infectious viral disease caused by the monkeypox virus. It can cause a painful rash, headache, muscle and back pain, enlarged lymph nodes and fever.

 

How Mpox Is Transmitted

It can be transmitted to humans through physical contact with someone who is infectious, or when in contact with contaminated materials like clothes or needles, or with infected animals. Other ways it can be transmitted is by

  • face-to-face by talking or breathing
  • skin-to-skin by touching or vaginal/anal sex
  • mouth-to-mouth by kissing
  • mouth-to-skin contact by oral sex or kissing the skin
  • respiratory droplets or short-range aerosols from prolonged close contact

Signs and symptoms Of Mpox

 

Signs and symptoms of mpox often appear one week after exposure, although they can also appear one to twenty-one days later. Usually lasting two to four weeks, symptoms can linger longer in people with weak immune systems. It symptoms includes:

  • rash
  • fever
  • sore throat
  • headache
  • muscle aches
  • back pain
  • low energy
  • swollen lymph nodes.

Some individuals may see a rash as their initial sign of mpox, while others may experience other symptoms first.

The rash starts off as a flat sore that turns into a liquid-filled blister that might hurt or itch. The lesions dry up, crust over, and eventually fall off as the rash cures.

While some people may only have a few skin lesions, others may have hundreds or even thousands. These can show up anyplace on the body such as:

  • palms of hands and soles of feet
  • face, mouth and throat
  • groin and genital areas
  • anus.
  • painful swelling of their rectum or pain and difficulty when peeing.
