Powerball Expands Globally to Boost Jackpot Sizes and Player Engagement

0

The popular Powerball lottery is set to make its debut across the Atlantic.

This summer, players in England, Scotland, and other areas of the United Kingdom will have the chance to participate in the same lottery game that has been creating millionaires in the United States.

On Tuesday, an agreement was revealed between the Multi-State Lottery Association, which oversees Powerball, and Allwyn UK, the organization behind the U.K.’s National Lottery. However, the agreement awaits approval from a U.K. gambling commission.

This expansion marks the inaugural occasion where a non-U.S. lottery will be contributing to the Powerball jackpot.

“Our goal is to continually ensure that Powerball remains both relevant and appealing from cultural and commercial perspectives,” explained Matt Strawn, the leader of Powerball and CEO of the Iowa Lottery. “This expansion is the next logical step in achieving that goal.”

The same jackpot amount will be available to players on both sides of the Atlantic, with U.S. payouts in dollars and those in the U.K. in pounds.

For players in the U.S., nothing changes, including the $2 cost of a Powerball ticket and the long odds of winning the jackpot of 1 in 292.2 million, Strawn said. But with U.K. players buying tickets, a larger player pool will grow jackpots more quickly.

“Players consistently tell us in survey after survey that faster growing Powerball jackpots is what they’d like to see,” Strawn said. “Not surprisingly, the higher the jackpots grow the more people play the game in a particular drawing. The more people play, the higher sales grow. The higher sales grow, the higher the jackpots get, the more people play.”

For U.K. players, Powerball will offer a chance at much larger jackpots than are now available at lotteries in the country and Europe.

The largest Powerball payout was just over $2 billion from a ticket bought in 2022 in California. EuroMillions, a lottery offered across nine European countries and also operated in the U.K. by Allwyn, paid the biggest prize to a U.K. player of 195 million ($265 million) in 2022.

“Our ambition is to bring more games, more innovation and more excitement to The UK National Lottery – and it doesn’t get more exciting than Powerball, with its transformative jackpots and life-changing contribution to good causes,” Allwyn UK Chief Executive Andria Vidler said in a statement.

Although jackpots will be the same in each country, estimated jackpot amounts will be different due to currency conversion rates and because the U.S. advertises prize amounts pretax, unlike in the U.K.

U.K. Powerball jackpots also will be paid over 30 years, whereas in the U.S., jackpot winners have a choice between taking their winnings spread over years through an annuity or in cash – nearly all winners opt for cash.

All players will vie for the same jackpot prize, but smaller prizes will be different in the two countries.

Powerball is played in 45 U.S. states as well as Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

In the game, players choose numbers displayed on five white balls numbered 1 to 69 and one number from 1 to 26 on the red Powerball numbered. Drawings will continue to be held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.

More than 31 million people play at least one National Lottery game each year across the U.K.

The new agreement won’t change how Mega Millions, the other large U.S. lottery game, operates.

Shocking Morning Commute: Reckless Driver Crashes into Man Checking Mailbox

In Connecticut, a man was tragically struck while crossing the street to check his mailbox, with the driver responsible fleeing the scene, according to authorities.

Legal documents reviewed by Law&Crime reveal that Andrew Hitchcock, aged 66, faces charges for fleeing the scene of a fatal accident. It’s anticipated that Hitchcock will accept a plea bargain, with sentencing expected in the upcoming weeks, as reported by The News-Times. The victim, identified as 65-year-old Michael Rieve, was killed in the incident.

The accident occurred on September 22, 2025, along Nashville Road in Bethel, Connecticut, where Rieve resided. While crossing to access his mailbox, he was struck by a white Infiniti G37. Investigators suggest that Hitchcock was en route home from work when he collided with Rieve but failed to stop or alert emergency responders.

Authorities report that the driver of the Infiniti continued without stopping. Rieve remained injured for approximately 10 minutes until a passerby noticed him and contacted emergency services.

Bethel Police Department officers arrived at the location around 8 p.m. and quickly determined that Rieve had been hit by a vehicle traveling northbound, which had left the scene before their arrival. He was initially taken to a local hospital before being transferred, where he succumbed to his injuries the following day.

According to an arrest warrant for Hitchcock, a camera in a Tesla parked at Rieve”s residence captured the crash and fleeing of the Infiniti. A vehicle’s side mirror that was left behind also appeared to match the car shown on the footage.

Investigators then obtained surveillance footage from a nearby gas station that showed a vehicle passing through with an “uneven light” appearing to indicate that a headlight was damaged or destroyed. Police said that as they canvassed the area, they “located a vehicle that matched the description of the suspect vehicle and appeared to have damage and marks consistent with the accident.”

The vehicle was “seized, and a search warrant obtained in which further testing confirmed that vehicle was the vehicle that struck the victim,” police added. Court records say that Hitchcock was arrested on Dec. 6, 2025.

Hitchcock was released on $75,000 bond. During a court appearance on Monday, Hitchcock’s attorney acknowledged that prosecutors made them an offer, and he said he would discuss it with his client, per The News-Times.

The defendant’s next court date is scheduled for June 1.

Rieve’s obituary remembers him as a sailor who had just begun to golf, as a Bethel Fire Department volunteer, but yet whose “greatest passion in life was loving his family, especially his grandchildren.”

Tragic Back-to-Back School Shootings: Four Lives Lost in Latest Attack

A student has opened fire randomly at two classrooms at a middle school in south-east Turkey, killing four people and wounding 20 others, an official says.

Wednesday marked the second consecutive day of tragic school shootings in the country, shaking communities to their core.

The perpetrator of this latest attack, a student who lost his life during the incident, arrived at the school heavily armed. According to Kahramanmaras provincial Governor Mukerrem Unluer, the weapons were believed to be owned by his father, a retired police officer. The student was found carrying five guns alongside seven magazines.

Among the casualties were a teacher and three students, reported Governor Unluer. Additionally, at least four individuals remain in critical condition. As of now, the reason behind this horrific act is unclear.

This tragedy follows just a day after another shooting in the nearby Sanliurfa province, where a former student injured 16 individuals, primarily students, before taking his own life.

Such incidents have been exceedingly rare in Turkey until these recent events, highlighting a disturbing shift. The nation is grappling with the implications and searching for answers amidst the sorrow.

Earlier, media reports said that authorities sent police and ambulances to the school in the Kahramanmaras’ Onikisubat district, after gunfire was heard there. Images from the scene showed at least two people being put into ambulances.

Parents rushed to the school after hearing reports of an armed attack, NTV television reported, adding that police took security measures around the school.

Trump Announces Strait of Hormuz to Remain Open Amid Iran Blockade and China’s Involvement

0

Donald Trump has announced that the Strait of Hormuz will remain “permanently open” following undisclosed discussions with China’s President Xi Jinping. Trump claims that Xi has agreed to halt the supply of arms to Iran.

Trump shared this news on Wednesday through Truth Social, adding a lighthearted note that Xi would embrace him warmly at an upcoming meeting.

On Truth Social, Trump expressed, “China is thrilled about my decision to keep the Strait of Hormuz permanently open. I’m doing this not just for them, but for the entire world. Such a situation will not arise again.”

He further elaborated, “China has pledged to cease sending weapons to Iran. When I meet President Xi in a few weeks, he’s promised a big, warm hug.”

“We’re collaborating effectively and intelligently! Isn’t that better than conflict? However, let’s not forget, we excel at fighting if necessary—better than anyone else!” Trump concluded.

After peace talks with the Islamic regime collapsed over the weekend, the President launched a naval blockade of Hormuz, a critical oil chokepoint through which one-fifth of the world’s supply flows.

Trump imposed the blockade to push Tehran back to the negotiating table, with the President reportedly reluctant to resume the bombing campaign, which has brought chaos to the Middle East.

It remains unclear whether Trump was declaring the strait open to shipping traffic immediately or signaling an intent to reach a permanent resolution as peace talks with Iran continue. The Daily Mail has contacted the White House for comment.

Trump and Xi are expected to meet for a diplomatic summit in Beijing in mid-May to discuss managing trade tariffs and US access to rare earth minerals.

The summit will be Trump’s first major foreign trip since launching the war against Iran, China’s largest Middle Eastern ally.

China, along with Russia, has assisted Iran throughout the five-week war by providing satellite imagery and intelligence used to help target US military bases with ballistic missiles and suicide drones.

In the last 24 hours, the US military has blocked six oil tankers from passing through the strait.

The Pentagon, meanwhile, is preparing to send 6,000 more troops to the region aboard the USS George HW Bush and several other warships.

Beijing has been critical of Trump’s blockade, with Xi Jinping calling it ‘dangerous and irresponsible’ while noting the world must not ‘revert to the law of the jungle.’

After Trump launched the war, Iran retaliated by choking off traffic through the strait with swarms of explosive speedboats, drones, and naval mines.

Tehran has also sought to impose de facto tolls on passing oil tankers, allowing favored partners like China and India to transit more freely while pressuring Western vessels.

The economic fallout has driven gas prices sharply higher and fueled inflation across the US, with the national average climbing to around $4.10 a gallon as crude oil prices hover above $100 per barrel.

Trump indicated on Wednesday morning that the war may come to a peaceful resolution within the next 48-hours.

The President said, ‘you’re going to be watching an amazing two days ahead’ as he teased a forthcoming deal in a phone call with ABC News.

‘They really do have a different regime now. No matter what, we took out the radicals. They’re gone, no longer with us,’ Trump said.

‘If I weren’t President, the world would be torn to pieces.’

Negotiations fell apart earlier this weekend over US demands that Iran fully abandon its nuclear ambitions.

Washington pushed for Tehran to halt all uranium enrichment for 20 years and hand over its entire stockpile.

Iranian diplomats countered by offering a five-year pause on enrichment but refused to cede control of its uranium stockpile to the US.

Soon after, Vice President JD Vance, alongside special envoy Steve Witkoff and the president’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, announced that no agreement had been reached after more than 20 hours of negotiations.

Taylor Frankie Paul’s Relief: Prosecutors Drop Domestic Violence Charges Amidst Fan Pressure for ABC’s Bachelorette Spotlight

Taylor Frankie Paul, a star of “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” will not face further criminal charges related to alleged domestic assault incidents, as announced by prosecutors. Following the news, Taylor expressed her relief, while her co-star Jessi Draper stood by her side, offering support. Meanwhile, fans have reignited their call for ABC to broadcast her season of “The Bachelorette.”

Earlier this year, Taylor found herself embroiled in controversy when it was revealed that she was under investigation for two alleged domestic assault incidents involving her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen. The situation prompted a pause in filming for “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” as the cast felt uneasy about continuing amidst the active investigations.

The situation took a turn when a video emerged showing Taylor throwing stools at Dakota in 2023. This incident led to ABC’s decision to cancel her season of “The Bachelorette.” The video also raised additional concerns when it was reported that one of the stools accidentally struck her child. At the time of the incident, Dakota was arrested and charged with assault, and Taylor has been on probation ever since. Many fans worried that the ongoing investigations might result in a probation violation for her.

However, as reported by TMZ, on April 14, prosecutors confirmed that they would not be pursuing any criminal charges against Taylor, bringing some closure to the ongoing legal saga.

According to TMZ, prosecutors declared on April 14 that they would not be filing criminal charges against Taylor.

Leading up to the announcement, Taylor was being investigated by two separate police departments, though the District Attorney’s Office of Salt Lake County said there wasn’t enough evidence to file charges. They indicated that proving she committed crimes beyond a reasonable doubt would be difficult.

The prosecutors also shared that they won’t be pursuing probation violations.

After the news broke, Taylor shared her reaction on Instagram.

“[I] cried when I got the call,” wrote Taylor over a picture of a butterfly and flowers. “THANK YOU to those that have stood with me.”

Now, fans are calling on ABC to air Taylor’s season of The Bachelorette.

Taylor’s castmate Jessi wrote a message of a support on Instagram: “So freaking proud of my resilient, strong and beautiful friend [Taylor] – ily more than words.”

Last month, a Disney Entertainment spokesperson released a statement to TMZ: “In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of ‘The Bachelorette’ at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family.”

As of now, it’s still unclear if Taylor’s season of The Bachelorette will ever air.

Gabourey Sidibe Claps Back: Defending Her Twins’ Hair Choices with Grace and Confidence

Gabourey Sidibe recently took to social media to address comments she received about her young twins.

Over the weekend, the actress responded to critiques on Instagram Threads, where people had made remarks regarding her 23-month-old twins’ hair.

Sidibe was unequivocal in her response, emphasizing that unsolicited opinions about her children are unwelcome.

“If you comment, telling me to do my toddlers’ hair, I’m blocking you,” she declared.

She further clarified that while her children’s hair is indeed cared for, the nature of their day-to-day activities influences its appearance.

“Their hair is always brushed, but they are active toddlers who play hard and aggressively launch into Head Shoulders Knees and Toes during lunch, so they get ketchup and eggs in it, so we sometimes do their hair several times a day.”

She also shared that she styles her daughter’s hair, but it comes undone.

“My daughter’s hair is braided every week and when it gets fuzzy in an hour I don’t immediately rebraid it because I didn’t have kids for the esthetic[sic],” she wrote.

Sidibe closed her message by pushing back on the pressure to present perfectly groomed children at all times.

“So in closing, let’s keep it cute cuz[sic] I’m fighting for my life as it is and trying to impress the timeline with constantly manicured children isn’t on my list of chores,” she said.

She ended on a lighter note, joking that her cat would be “debuting” fresh box braids after a birthday trip.

Sidibe shares her twins, Cooper and Maya, with her husband Brandon Frankel.

The actress has often shared candid moments from life at home. In February, she posted photos of her twins wearing her wigs and joked, “My head looks like this so that their heads can look this.”

Frankel reacted in the comments at the time, writing, “You know you love them cuz you let them wear ya good wigs.”

From Chicago Streets to Vatican Influence: Pope Leo’s Powerful Stance on Trump

In a highly publicized and intense dispute, President Donald Trump has taken aim at Pope Leo XIV, the first pontiff from America, accusing him on Truth Social of being “WEAK on Crime, and terrible for Foreign Policy.” This unusual confrontation comes in the lead-up to the 2026 midterm elections, with the core of the disagreement revolving around the pope’s vocal disapproval of the US-Israeli military actions against Iran and his criticism of US interventions in Venezuela.

Pope Leo responded firmly while on a flight to Algeria on April 13, stating, “I have no fear of the Trump administration or speaking out loudly about the message of the Gospel.” This exchange signifies one of the most significant rifts between a sitting US president and the Vatican in recent memory, potentially influencing Trump’s standing with the 52 million Catholic voters in the United States.

Pope Leo’s Vatican Role: From Chicago Roots to Trump Clash

What Happened Between Trump and Pope Leo XIV?

The tension between the White House and the Vatican escalated sharply over a mere two days in mid-April 2026. On the evening of April 12, Trump labeled the pope as “weak” on Truth Social and insinuated that Leo owed his papacy to him. Trump also posted, and later removed, an AI-generated image that portrayed him in a Christ-like manner, which drew heavy criticism.

Pope Leo XIV Background: Chicago Birth to First American Pontiff

Pope Leo XIV, originally named Robert Francis Prevost, was born on September 14, 1955, in south suburban Chicago. His election in May 2025 marked a historic moment as the first American to become pope. An avid White Sox fan and a math graduate from Villanova, he spent many years as a missionary in Peru before overseeing the Vatican’s Dicastery for Bishops. His heritage includes Creole roots through his grandparents from New Orleans.

Trump’s Exact Words: Full Truth Social Post Calling Pope Weak

In his April 12 post, Trump wrote: “Pope Leo is WEAK on Crime, and terrible for Foreign Policy. He talks about ‘fear’ of the Trump Administration, but doesn’t mention the FEAR that the Catholic Church had during COVID.” Trump added: “I don’t want a Pope who thinks it’s OK for Iran to have a Nuclear Weapon. I don’t want a Pope who thinks it’s terrible that America attacked Venezuela.”

Pope Leo’s Direct Response: ‘I Have No Fear of Trump Administration’

Speaking to journalists aboard the papal flight to Algiers on April 13, Pope Leo struck a measured but firm tone. “I think people who read it will be able to draw their own conclusions. I am not a politician, and I have no intention of entering into a debate with him,” he said, before affirming his commitment to peace: “Blessed are the peacemakers.”

Why the Feud Exploded: Iran War and Venezuela Criticism Angle

The conflict with the Vatican is rooted in Pope Leo’s strong denunciation of the US-Israeli conflict with Iran, which began on February 28, 2026. The pope described Trump’s threats to destroy Iranian culture as “truly unacceptable” and encouraged American Catholics to urge Congress to oppose the war. Additionally, he criticized the US’s January operation to apprehend Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.

Catholic Backlash and Conservative Reactions: What Believers Are Saying

Conservative Catholic leaders have largely sided with the pope. Bishop Robert Barron, a Trump administration religious freedom commissioner, called the president’s remarks “entirely inappropriate and disrespectful” and demanded an apology. CatholicVote, a conservative group that supported Trump in 2024, labeled his attack “a ridiculous mistake.”

Historical Precedents: Popes vs. US Presidents Before This Clash

While Trump also clashed with Pope Francis during his first term, the current feud carries unique weight. Pope Leo is the first American pope, making his criticism of a US president historically unprecedented. Previous papal-presidential tensions, including John Paul II’s opposition to the Iraq War, never reached this level of direct personal attack.

Impact on 2026 Midterms: How Catholic Voters May React

An April 2026 poll shows Trump’s Catholic approval has dropped to 48 percent, down from 55 percent in the 2024 election. With Catholic voters constituting key swing blocs in Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin, analysts warn even a 2 to 3 percent shift could flip control of Congress. White Catholic voters were decisive in Trump’s 2024 victory.

What Happens Next: Pope Leo’s Democracy Warning and Ongoing Tension

Pope Leo has signaled he will not back down, posting on X that “God does not bless any conflict.” The Vatican continues to advocate for diplomatic solutions to the Iran war, while Trump shows no signs of apologizing. “There’s nothing to apologize for,” Trump told reporters on April 13. Vice President JD Vance has defended Trump, though Secretary of State Marco Rubio remains silent.

Celebrity Alert: Clavicular Breaks Silence on Recent Hospitalization After Overdose Scare

0

Internet personality Clavicular has announced his return home after an alarming incident that led to his hospitalization due to a suspected overdose. This incident unfolded unexpectedly during a live broadcast that abruptly cut off on Tuesday evening.

The 20-year-old, whose real name is Braden Eric Peters and is known within the community as a ‘looksmaxxer,’ revealed the severity of his condition, stating that he was placed on a ‘life support mask’ during the ordeal.

On Wednesday morning, Peters shared a selfie on his X account (formerly known as Twitter), showing visible red marks on his face, which served as a stark reminder of the incident.

Peters, who has been open about his autism, confessed to using substances as a way to feel ‘neurotypical’ in public settings, which unfortunately led to this frightening episode.

Reflecting on the experience, Clavicular wrote, “Just got home, that was brutal. All of the substances are just a cope trying to feel neurotypical while being in public, but obviously that isn’t a real solution.”

‘The worst part of tonight was my face descending from the life support mask.’

A CPR mask – also known as a ‘pocket mask’ or ‘face shield’ is a critical tool for safely responding to a drug overdose as according to the CPR Care Association: ‘Certain overdoses can slow or stop breathing. Rescue breaths given with a mouth-to-mask device can keep oxygen flowing until medical help arrives. This can be done without the risks of direct contact.’

Earlier in the night, the influencer could be seen on a livestream beginning to slur his speech and hold his head as his colleagues attempted to help him.

According to police radio chatter, a call came in at around 8:45pm ET on Tuesday night claiming a 20-year-old man was overdosing on South Miami Avenue in Miami. Clavicular is 20 and was inside the location.

TMZ was the first to report that Clavicular, real name Braden Eric Peters, possibly suffered an overdose and was hospitalized.

During the stream on Kick, Clavicular and two other individuals sat down at a booth in a club. One of his friends asked him, ‘How f***ed up are you?’

Clavicular responded by laughing and saying a few unintelligible phrases. A glass of water was placed in front of him before he appeared to slump over.

His friend, another ‘looksmaxxer’ named Androgenic, asked him if he wanted an Addy – meaning the stimulant Adderall – three times before Clavicular appeared to slump over on the table in front of him. Shortly after that, the livestream cut out.

Videos circulated on social media appear to show a limp Clavicular being carried out to an ambulance by two men. Early Wednesday morning, reporter Taylor Lorenz was told that he was in stable condition but still in and out of consciousness after having a seizure.

There have been rumors that Clavicular uses methamphetamine to suppress his appetite and achieve his desired body proportions.

Clavicular is known online for his ‘looksmaxxing’ content, urging young men to upgrade their looks through extreme and controversial methods such as facial ‘bone smashing’, which he claims makes the bones heal stronger after they’re broken.

He also advocates for steroid use, admitting that he has taken testosterone since he was 14.

He believes being attractive is crucial to a man’s success, especially in getting attention from women.

This philosophy from the looksmaxxing community overlaps with beliefs espoused by incels, or involuntary celibates. These are men who have strong animosity toward women because they can’t find someone who wants to have sex with them.

In a recent interview on 60 Minutes Australia, Clavicular was asked about what incels had in common with his looksmaxxers and got defensive.

‘I’m not linked to that group in any way,’ Peters said of incels. ‘Looksmaxxing is self-improvement, right? So it’s about potentially ascending out of that category and so that would be one of the goals is to disassociate from being an incel and overcome that.’

The interviewer then asked him about his relationship with Andrew Tate, a social media personality who is under criminal investigation in the United Kingdom and Romania for allegedly running a human trafficking operation.

Clavicular was spotted at a nightclub in Miami with Tate and white nationalist commentator Nick Fuentes in January.

‘You’ve obviously shared company with Andrew Tate and other, dare I say, rather controversial figures,’ the interviewer said. ‘Why do you spend time with people like that?’

Clavicular immediately disengaged, saying ‘all right, have a nice day’ before standing up and walking off.

On March 26, Clavicular was arrested in connection to a misdemeanor assault. Reporter Taylor Lorenz was the first to confirm this, saying that the arrest near Fort Lauderdale stemmed from an Osceola County Sheriff’s Office warrant from March 9.

Lorenz speculated the charge may be connected to a physical altercation involving his girlfriend, known as Violet, and influencer Jenny Popach.

The altercation between Violet and Popach unfolded during a Kick livestream earlier this year that racked up hundreds of thousands of views online, with the pair seen hitting and pulling each other’s hair inside a house before being separated.

Clavicular was taken into custody after he was filmed unloading a gun on a dead alligator in a Florida Everglades swamp. His arrest had nothing to do with this video.

Biden’s Awkward Obama Tribute Sparks Laughter and Conversation

0

Joe Biden, the former U.S. president, has become somewhat known for his frequent gaffes, much to the delight of some and the chagrin of others. Now at 83, his appearances often stir discussions about his age and mental sharpness. It’s evident that each public engagement is meticulously planned to avoid any missteps, yet sometimes, things don’t go as smoothly as intended.

During a recent appearance at Syracuse University School of Law, Biden found himself at the center of controversy following remarks that some viewed as a significant blunder, with accusations of racism quickly surfacing. However, it’s crucial to examine the situation from a balanced perspective, something both sides of the political spectrum should strive for.

Before jumping to conclusions about what appeared to be an awkward moment, it’s essential to consider the context leading up to his comments. The situation involved a comparison between Biden and another individual, Mr. Scruggs, who bears a slight resemblance to the 44th president. While this observation has been criticized, it’s worth noting that pointing out a resemblance between two individuals is not inherently problematic, especially when such a resemblance exists.

Former President Joe Biden spotted a familiar face on stage during his portrait unveiling at Syracuse University School of Law Tuesday and demanded the man join him at the podium in an awkward exchange.

“I always want to turn around to one guy and say … ‘Barack, what are you doing?’” Biden joked during the event at his alma mater.

The 83-year-old former president was referring to Jeffrey Scruggs, who is black and the chairman of the school’s Board of Trustees, and apparently reminds Biden of the 44th president, Barack Obama.

Biden awkwardly put the spotlight on Scruggs and called for him to come up to the podium, despite the chairman’s apparent reluctance.

Here’s what people watching what would look to be a cringe-inducing moment don’t know: What happened before Mr. Biden spoke:

Scruggs reportedly told Biden backstage that his daughter wanted him to ask the former president if he looked like Obama. The onstage moment was meant to show the daughter that Biden believed that her dad did look like his ex-boss, the Daily Mail reported.

Several social media users agreed with Biden’s assessment, while some argued the moment was “racist.”

And, honestly, there is a certain resemblance between Mr. Scruggs and the 44th president. It’s not an uncanny one, but the two men do look broadly similar. And despite the hysterical screeching of the perpetually offended, there’s nothing racist about pointing out that one black man has a mild resemblance to another black man, when there objectively is such a resemblance.

Meghan Markle’s Reaction to Reporter Questioning Prince Harry in Australia Revealed

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry visit the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne, Australia

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have recently arrived in Australia for a four-day visit, marking their first return since 2018. Unlike their last trip, this time they are visiting as private citizens, no longer serving as active members of the British royal family.

Their status change, however, hasn’t deterred the media frenzy that typically accompanies them. A photographer and a reporter shadowed the couple to document their visit, while heightened security measures were in place at each location they visited. This prompted many Australian media outlets, such as Melbourne’s Herald Sun, to label their visit a “faux royal tour,” suggesting it was an effort to bolster their public image, known as “Brand Sussex.”

Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, have touched down in Australia for their four-day trip. What’s so different from this trip than their last one in 2018 is that the pair are no longer working members of the royal family but are actually private citizens visiting the country.

With the media coverage (the couple brought a photographer and reporter with them to capture every camera-ready moment) and tight security everywhere they go, it certainly doesn’t seem like that, which is why several outlets Down Under, including Melbourne’s Herald Sun newspaper, described the visit as a “faux royal tour to shore up Brand Sussex.”

The prince and Suits alum, however, have rejected criticisms that their trip is a publicity tour.

“The program is rooted in long-standing areas of work for the duke and the duchess, with a clear focus on amplifying organizations delivering measurable impact. The visit prioritizes listening, learning, and supporting communities rather than promotion,” the Sussexes’ office said in a statement, before adding that there are also “a small number of private engagements” being held to “support broader commercial, charitable and commercial objectives.”

Following their arrival on Day One, most of the attention was on Harry as a reporter asked him a couple of questions and ignored Meghn. Now, an expert is explaining how that didn’t sit well with the duchess, who likes to be front and center and the main star of the show. Here’s more on Meghan’s reaction.

Darren Stanton is a body language and behavioral expert with a degree in psychology. He previously worked as a police officer and used his expertise to uncover the truth when interviewing hundreds of suspects. He later moved into media and TV as a consultant and has been dubbed the “Human Lie Detector.” Stanton offers his commentary and expert analysis on high-profile public figures and criminal cases. His work helps audiences better understand what people really mean beyond their words.

Speaking on behalf of OLBG, Stanton told Showbiz Cheat Sheet, “Harry is letting Meghan take the lead. It’s clear she is the more dominant person in the relationship and always has been. By taking the submissive position he is letting her take the lead, and it’s consistent behavior between the two. She likes to be in the limelight a lot, and he doesn’t want to be front and center as much. Harry is the main star, but he is letting her take control.”

The expert added that “Meghan is not very happy with the reporter just speaking to Harry; she is showing a very fake smile. It’s almost like someone has said, ‘say cheese’ and she has been forced to smile. You can see her face is transfixed, and only the bottom half moves. Her eyes aren’t engaged, which shows us it’s a fake smile. She loves to be the center of attention, so I think because the attention is on him, she is not happy.”
