Ehler Triumphs with Third-Place Victory at Prestigious Fargo Junior Nationals

CATLIN, Ill. (WCIA) — Devin Ehler has etched his name on the national stage by clinching a commendable third place in Greco-Roman Wrestling at 144 pounds during the esteemed US Marine Corps 16U Junior Nationals held in Fargo, North Dakota.

This achievement marks a first in the history of the Oakwood-Salt Fork wrestling program, making Ehler its inaugural Fargo All-American wrestler, a milestone he had long aspired to reach.

Though he didn’t secure the top spot, Ehler relishes his initial foray into this highly regarded tournament, widely considered the pinnacle of competitive wrestling in the United States.

“My primary aim was to leave every bit of my heart and effort on the mat, and I’m satisfied I achieved that,” Ehler reflected. “While becoming a national champion was the ultimate goal, securing third place allowed me to demonstrate my identity as both a wrestler and a person. It illuminates a lot about one’s character, and that’s an aspect I cherish.”

Ehler is now looking ahead to his junior wrestling season at OSW. This comes on the heels of his impressive performances, securing fourth at the state level during his freshman year and advancing to a third-place finish last year in Class 1A.

Cardi B and Stefon Diggs: Was Their Split Destined by Fate?

An artistic illustration depicts the zodiac signs Libra and Sagittarius beneath a star-filled sky, symbolizing their romantic compatibility, balance, and adventurous spirit.

Prominent Figures in the Spotlight

Few relationships capture public attention like that of Cardi B and Stefon Diggs. The pair’s tumultuous romance is something that even seasoned gossip followers struggle to keep up with. Their history is peppered with past relationship troubles, custody battles, and a whirlwind of accusations against Diggs. While spectators often point fingers at the drama as the reason for their on-again, off-again status, the true story may run deeper. A look at their astrological signs suggests a cosmic connection that’s both passionate and chaotic by design.

Tracking Cardi B and Stefon Diggs’ relationship status is like following a narrative straight out of a drama series. The pair’s history brims with past disputes and multiple controversies involving Diggs. Public commentators hasten to point out that these dramatic elements drive them apart, yet the truth might reveal a deeper connection. With astrological signs hinting at an interstellar compatibility, their love story seems destined for highs and lows.

Cardi B Is a Libra Who Struggles Dating Sagittarius Men

Born on October 11, 1992, Cardi B’s zodiac sign is Libra. Governed by Venus, Libras are associated with romance, sophistication, and an innate longing for companionship. Known for their charm and diplomatic nature, they often pursue harmonious relationships. However, their quest for equilibrium can sometimes hinder their ability to pace the unfolding of romantic developments.

Stefon Diggs was born November 29, 1993. He is a Sagittarius, a fire sign ruled by Jupiter. Sagittarians are known for being free-spirited, blunt, and hard to pin down. They value independence above almost everything else. Their desire to keep their options open leads to plenty of spontaneity but can hamper partnership efforts.

The Star Signs Just Don’t Align

While Libras and Sagittarius have some pretty significant differences, they aren’t necessarily a bad pairing. The two signs are compatible in the way they approach being social, and both signs tend to be optimistic. Together, Libra and Sagittarius partners can be fun, flirtatious, and tend to have magnetic chemistry. That appears to hold true for Cardi and Diggs. When they first went public, they seemed to be having a blast together, but things moved fast, perhaps a bit faster than Diggs bargained for.

The zodiac symbols for Libra and Sagittarius appear side by side | Illustration generated by ChatGPT (OpenAI)

Libras and Sagittarians can make a great pair, but there are some issues. Things tend to get complicated when the initial honeymoon phase wears off, and couples settle into a more monotonous phase. Libras, with their love of stability and partnership, enjoy that phase. Sagittarians, with their sense of adventure, can feel confined.

Cardi and Diggs’ actual relationship arc tracks this pattern almost eerily well. The two moved quickly into a public romance and a pregnancy, only to cycle through repeated breakups, public spats, and reconciliations. Reports of tension, jealousy, and unresolved arguments followed. Of course, there are Libra and Sagittarius pairings that can work well (Taylor Swift is a Sagittarius and her new husband, Travis Kelce, is a Libra, for example); the road towards bliss can be a bit complicated.

It seems the stars might be to blame for Cardi B and Stefon Diggs’ tumultuous romance. The same was clearly true for her romance with Offset, who is also a Sagittarius. She might want to seek out a Gemini next time around; the air sign is considered a Libra’s ultimate match.

WWE Stars Jacob Fatu and Joe Hendry Inspire Creativity at Red Door Community Art Class

0

On Friday, WWE stars Jacob Fatu and Joe Hendry joined forces with a nonprofit to bring joy to children in an art class, aiming to support young cancer patients through creativity.

The dynamic wrestling duo partnered with Red Door Community to host a caricature workshop for children affected by cancer. Adding excitement to the event, the organization organized a raffle offering two tickets to the Saturday Night’s Main Event at Madison Square Garden, set to begin at 8 p.m.

This collaborative effort was part of the WWE Community Champions initiative, where Fatu and Hendry connected with Red Door. Based in Flatiron, Red Door Community extends support through group sessions, wellness programs, and engaging social activities to benefit individuals of all ages grappling with cancer.

“WWE is deeply committed to charitable work, and these two athletes truly exemplify that spirit,” stated Dan Latore, CEO of Red Door Community, in a conversation with The Post.

Speaking with People prior to the occasion, Hendry emphasized the importance of initiatives like Red Door. “It provides families with a much-needed break from stress, offering them a chance to enjoy creativity and have fun,” he shared.

Red Door Community partners with Theatre Within to provide creative workshops — in the visuals arts, writing and meditation — for members. Former MAD Magazine artist and art director Sam Viviano led the class alongside former MAD editor Joe Raiola.

“We want to do more things like this,” Latore said. “Work with other organizations to do things like this, with different sports leagues. The idea is really to create some excitement around this.

“It’s just so special,” he added.

Queens Borough President Donovan Richards Jr. also took part in the workshop. Since taking office in 2020, Richards has been a major part of the investment and development of a new cancer center at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in partnership with Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

At a recent town hall, Richards shared that $180 million has been secured in partnership with Gov. Kathy Hochul to fund the new center.

“It’s fantastic,” Latore said of Richards’s efforts. “Red Door Community has been around for 30 years, and we consider ourselves a New York icon. … We have membership from all five boroughs, our membership is very reflective of the New York City community.”

Perhaps the brightest moment of the day was giving a young boy two tickets to Saturday night’s WWE event at the Garden at the workshop’s conclusion.

“It just reminded me why I do this,” Latore said of the winning moment. “For all the things that are tough in life, you do a thing like this, and it just wipes it all away.”

CHICAGO (WLS) — A significant development has emerged in a tragic case from Chicago’s South Side, where a teenager is now facing a first-degree murder charge. This follows the shooting death of a 13-year-old boy two months ago, according to local police.

The young victim, identified as DeAntwan McKeever, was just 13 years old when he succumbed to his injuries, a week after being shot in the South Chicago neighborhood, authorities stated.

The incident took place on May 21 at approximately 2:50 p.m., unfolding in the 8200 block of South Coles Avenue within South Chicago, detailed police reports indicate.

When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered DeAntwan with a severe gunshot wound to the head. He was immediately rushed to Comer Children’s Hospital in critical condition, as confirmed by the Chicago Police Department.

Tragically, just a week later, the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office announced DeAntwan’s passing, formally identifying him and marking a somber conclusion to his young life.

Police spent much of the evening the day of the shooting on that block and were seen going door to door for surveillance video.

Now, two month after the shooting, Chicago police announced a suspect has been charged.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested Thursday in Chicago, police said. He has been charged with first-degree murder in connection to the shooting.

CPD has not named the suspect because he is a minor.

The teen suspect will appear in court Saturday.

No further information was available as Chicago police continue to investigate.

Revitalize Muscle Mass Post-60 with These 5 Morning Exercises—Faster Results Than the Gym

0

Struggling with muscle loss post-60? Discover five expert-endorsed morning exercises to revitalize your strength.

>

There’s no denying it: muscle mass is vital as we age. Starting at 30, muscle loss begins its gradual descent, picking up speed after we hit 60. Without taking action, this decline can significantly disrupt our daily activities.

Dr. Reuben Chen, a Board-Certified Sports Medicine Physician and Chief Medical Advisor at Sunrider International, highlights the impact of muscle degeneration. “This loss diminishes strength, power, and endurance, leading to mobility difficulties like walking, climbing stairs, or standing from a seated position,” he explains. “The repercussions can include increased risks of falls, fractures, and possibly losing independence, ultimately diminishing quality of life. Engaging in regular resistance exercises coupled with proper nutrition can help slow or even reverse these effects.”

Incorporating the right exercises into your daily regimen is crucial. With that in mind, we’re sharing five morning moves that can boost muscle regeneration more effectively than typical gym workouts, especially for those over 60.

“These exercises are exceptionally powerful due to their functional nature, low impact, and focus on major muscle groups such as legs, glutes, quads, core, chest, and arms,” Dr. Chen points out. “They mimic daily activities—like rising from a chair, climbing stairs, and lifting objects—to safely rebuild strength. Moreover, they prioritize balance, mobility, coordination, and controlled movement, which are essential for seniors combatting age-related muscle deterioration, without needing gym equipment or facing high injury risks.”

Dr. Chen specifically chose these exercises because they help older individuals build strength that correlates to everyday function. Now, let’s get started!

Fernando Mendoza Poised to Secure Starting Role with Raiders, Suggests Ian Rapoport

0

The Las Vegas Raiders are buzzing with speculation over Fernando Mendoza, touted as the future star for the team. Yet, whether he will step into the spotlight immediately remains uncertain.

NFL Insider Ian Rapoport suggests that should Mendoza deliver impressive performances early, it might compel the Raiders to appoint him as their starting quarterback next season.

“We’ve witnessed scenarios where teams initially plan for a rookie to simply learn from the sidelines,” Rapoport explained during the NFL Insiders show on NFL Network. “But what if Mendoza accelerates onto the scene with exceptional prowess? Teams could decide, ‘This talent is too good to sideline.’ While it might not be in the opening game, this shift could occur swiftly in the season, which would be fantastic news for the Raiders.”

The NFL has evolved past the era when quarterbacks spent a year on the bench. The last time the No. 1 overall draft pick took a back seat was in 2018, when the Cleveland Browns chose Baker Mayfield.

Seizing his moment, Mayfield took over following Tyrod Taylor’s injury and cemented his place as the starting quarterback, never looking back.

Since Mendoza was taken No.1 overall by the Raiders during last years NFL Draft, the expectation has been he will serve as a backup to Kirk Cousins, who will be a mentor to Mendoza.

Mendoza is coming off a historic season at Indiana, where he was crowned as the winner of the Heisman Trophy and also helped lead the Hoosiers to their first College Football National Championship, after throwing 3,535 yards, 41 touchdowns, and 6 interceptions, while completing 72% of his passes.

If Mendoza can show the Raiders the same type of success he had at Indiana and becomes the starting quarterback of the team, Rapoport said it could make things a little bit awkward in the Las Vegas quarterback room, but it would also be good news, as the number one pick would be “Exactly who they’d hope he would be.”

Tom Brady and Logan Paul’s Feud Intensifies with a Surprising Encounter

0

Tom Brady and Logan Paul reignited their simmering rivalry with an explosive encounter at Fanatics Fest on Friday night, a spectacle that follows months of speculation about a potential WWE showdown between the two.

Captured on video by the Daily Mail, the confrontation began with Brady and Paul exchanging fiery words at the glamorous New York City gathering, culminating in the NFL icon losing his composure.

In a dramatic turn, Brady smacked Paul on the head, prompting NBA star Karl-Anthony Towns and a vigilant security guard to swiftly step in and separate the two.

Even after the physical altercation, Paul, a prominent WWE figure, was visibly agitated, emphatically gesturing toward Brady as Towns attempted to defuse the tension.

Prior to this fiery face-off, Brady and Paul had already clashed verbally, revisiting contentious issues from their previous encounter at the Fanatics Flag Football Classic event held earlier in the year.

They had a couple of run-ins on the field that day, but it was the online personality who had the last laugh after his Wildcats FFC team defeated Brady’s Founders FFC.

‘It’s just nuts to me how Tom Brady couldn’t come back from us winning the flag football game that he said he was going to beat me,’ Paul said while sitting on the same panel as the seven-time Super Bowl winner at Fanatics Fest.

‘I just want to say it… never forget. Never forget the YouTuber beat the football player.’

‘There were a lot of cheap shots in that game too,’ Brady responded.

After the viral slap, Paul posted on X: ‘This happened bc I was roasting Tom for beating him in flag football. And he tries to smack me ?? Horrible example for the kids Aura -100 + Blocked. With a torn tricep’.

Brady quoted his post and wrote: ‘I tried America… will try again next time I see this nerd.’

Brady became embroiled in a shocking beef with Paul after he mocked the wrestler’s athletic ability during a guest appearance on his ‘Impaulsive’ podcast in February. He dismissed Paul’s athlete chops as ‘cute’ while claiming he lacks the toughness of football players.

In response, Paul argued that he could beat the majority of NFL athletes in a fight – a statement which sparked fierce debate – before they ramped up their rivalry at the flag football event.

Many have questioned how real Paul and Brady’s apparent disdain for one another is, instead rubbishing it as an attempt to generate attention.

The Daily Mail revealed back in March that, according to an insider, Paul and Brady are only playing on the feud to promote a potential WWE storyline.

The former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback was expected to appear at WrestleMania earlier this year, only to not show up at the wrestling company’s showpiece event.

Yet on Thursday, Brady revealed he is waiting for WWE president Nick Khan to give him a call about making an appearance.

He said at Fanatics Fest: ‘I feel like, I’m retired from football, have the opportunity to go out there and showcase that I’m still a little bit of an athlete. My boy Gronk’s done it, I’ve seen Logan Paul do it. I think I could get in there for at least one match, right?’

Brady has been keeping himself busy since retiring from the NFL in 2023. He is preparing to enter the third year of his decade-long, $375million contract with Fox after venturing into broadcasting for the league.

Shortly after joining Fox, he also became an NFL owner in highly controversial fashion. His deal to acquire a minority stake in the Las Vegas Raiders sparked uproar in 2024 over what many argued was a conflict of interest amid his commentary role.

When asked if he’d want to be a good guy or a ‘heel’ in the wrestling world, Brady insisted: ‘It’s such an easy choice. I’m a bad guy. I’ve always been a bad guy.

‘I mean, I feel like when our teams did really well, I would always go into these stadiums and I would feel that… When you go on the road and you’ve had some success in the NFL, they don’t like you. It’s an incredible feeling when you work that entire day to basically try to send the crowd home early.’

Ukrainian Protests Erupt Following Controversial Military Dismissal

0

At the age of 35, Mykhailo Fedorov broke records by becoming Ukraine’s youngest-ever defense minister. A mere six months later, his sudden dismissal has ignited widespread protests throughout the nation.

This former tech mogul’s ousting is part of a surprising government reshuffle orchestrated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, which included the unexpected removal of Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.

Many see Fedorov’s departure as a result of internal strife within Ukraine’s military hierarchy, primarily between him and Oleksandr Syrsky, the commander-in-chief of Ukraine’s armed forces.

During his tenure, Fedorov led the defense ministry at a critical time when Ukraine managed to regain ground against Russian forces on the battlefield.

He revealed that he turned down President Zelenskyy’s offer to remain as an adviser, as he was not invited to be part of the new government.

Yevgeniy Khmara, head of Ukraine’s SBU security service, has been appointed acting defence minister.

Who is Mykhailo Fedorov?

Fedorov had a reputation as a young, innovative moderniser who sought to reform the Ukrainian military. He has championed the use of advanced technology to fend off Russian attacks, becoming the public face of the country’s popular drone program.

Before becoming defence minister, he served as Ukraine’s minister of digital transformation and a close technology adviser to Zelenskyy.

He was the last remaining minister to have held positions in all of Zelenskyy’s governments, having stayed close to the president since his election in 2019.

His supporters credited him with helping to slow Russia’s advances this year, in part through his push to ramp up long-range drone strikes, cut bureaucracy, and use a data-driven approach to the war effort.

Protesters holding signs.

He also boosted military salaries and, before becoming defence minister, introduced computer game-like reward systems that allowed drone teams to earn rewards for striking Russian targets.

Earlier this year, Fedorov, who has close ties to Silicon Valley executives, negotiated an agreement with billionaire Elon Musk that saw Russia lose access to the Starlink satellite internet service on the battlefield.

Ukraine made its largest territorial gains in years following the agreement.

Why was Fedorov replaced?

Fedorov’s push to modernise the military was rumoured to have caused friction with parts of the establishment.

Speaking to reporters following the reshuffle this week, both Fedorov and Zelenskyy effectively confirmed those suspicions.

Fedorov said he had a dispute with Syrsky, accusing the army chief of blocking the defence ministry’s initiatives and dividing the country.

He criticised slow bureaucracy and a lack of flexibility, questioning whether Ukraine could defeat Russia with Syrsky in charge of the army.

Speaking from Kyiv, Zelenskyy said he expected the defence ministry and military leaders to work with greater unity, acknowledging there had been “systemic” conflicts between them.

“A president in wartime should not have to choose in such a situation, honestly,” he said, accompanied by UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

“I would very much like unity.”

In a message on Telegram, Syrsky said he would continue to “focus on the war” and wished Fedorov “continued success”.

Why were people protesting?

Thousands of protesters demonstrated in Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities after Federov’s dismissal, carrying signs and singing the Ukrainian national anthem.

“We saw results from his tenure, when strikes were effectively carried out against targets in Russia,” protester Viktoriia Osypenko, 24, told the Agence France-Presse news agency.

Vlada Roman, a 30-year-old business owner, said the “dismissal is a slap in the face of the Ukrainian people”, accusing Zelenskyy of being “afraid of effective people”.

A large crowd of protesters in a park area outside a government building.

She said she hoped the president would reverse the decision after the demonstrations.

The deputy commander of Ukraine’s air force, Pavlo Yelizarov, also resigned in solidarity.

“It is a great honour for me to work with Mykhailo Fedorov. In 2022, I joined the defence forces to win, not to pretend to be doing something,” he said in his resignation statement.

Why California Should Rethink Parole for Violent Offenders

0

California’s lenient approach to crime continues to spark controversy, but a newly filed lawsuit by a victims’ rights organization is aiming to halt these reforms.

The Criminal Justice Legal Foundation has initiated legal action against the California Board of Parole Hearings. The lawsuit challenges regulations that could potentially ease the path to early release for some of the state’s most notorious criminals.

This pushback is warranted. Proposed changes by the parole board could see some of California’s most violent offenders, who are serving life sentences, gain their freedom sooner than expected.

According to the foundation and its supporters within law enforcement, the revised rules could allow thousands of inmates—convicted of crimes like murder, torture, and offenses against children—to become eligible for early parole.

Is there truly any rational, law-abiding Californian who desires such an outcome?

How many more victims would fall prey to these thousands of felons, should some be released?

Among the convicts potentially eligible to walk are some serving “life without the possibility of parole,” the foundation says.

So the crimes were so egregious that a court determined the offenders should be confined for life, and the state parole board might say, in effect, “never mind, we know better than the judge and jury”?

That’s galling.

It would also be a gut punch to victims, and a broken promise to society, to free heinous criminals who –– we all were promised –– would be safely locked away for life.

The legal foundation says the parole board exceeded its authority by making such a sweeping change to the state’s legal system without either legislative or voter assent.

Good point.

State officials wouldn’t dare put this scheme before voters, and even soft-on-crime legislators might not go this far.

So an unelected board issues regulations while the left moans about prison crowding.

But if prisons are packed to bursting, that argues for more prison space –– not the wanton release of felons who probably, based on recidivism rates, will go find new victims.

This move at its core is not about prison crowding, or the pursuit of justice, or “evidence-based policies,” as Gov. Gavin Newsom put it.

And it’s certainly not about public safety.

The culprit, as ever, is probably ideology.

These days, it’s en vogue on the far left to treat criminals as victims. The idea: Those who harm others are somehow deserving of compassion, leniency and, for those with long rap sheets, 57th (or so) chances.

Also: The entire 21-member parole board is composed of appointees of Democrat Govs. Jerry Brown and Gavin Newsom.

There was a time when public safety transcended party and ideology, when both parties saw the sense in locking up the worst offenders and keeping them caged where they can’t hurt innocents.

No longer. From defund the police to no jail for thieves to early prison releases for felons, many on the left are now, for all intents and purposes, pro-criminal.

So good for the Criminal Justice Legal Foundation.

Someone needs to stand up for victims and innocents while the parole board and governor ease up on the perps.

True public safety comes from law and order. Not from leniency, misplaced compassion and far-left wishful thinking.
