Kim Kardashian and Lewis Hamilton Purchase Last-Minute Tickets to Her Broadway Show

0

It appears Kim Kardashian is thoroughly captivated.

According to Page Six, the reality TV star and entrepreneur, who is stepping into Broadway production for the first time, was so enthralled by her experience that she impulsively bought tickets online the following night to share the show with her boyfriend.

Kardashian is among the producers of “The Fear Of 13,” a play featuring Adrien Brody and Tessa Thompson, which explores the theme of wrongful conviction—a subject she passionately advocates for. She attended a performance on Sunday with her mother Kris, sister Kylie, and Kylie’s boyfriend, Timothée Chalamet.

However, by Tuesday, sources revealed that Kardashian was eager to introduce the play to her partner, Lewis Hamilton. Rather than navigating the complexities of securing complimentary tickets, she opted for simplicity by purchasing them through Today Tix for herself, Hamilton, and her assistant. This marked the first public appearance of Kardashian and Hamilton as a couple since they started dating earlier this year.

“She entered the theater under the radar, and later made her way backstage to greet the cast,” insiders shared.

We’re told they bumped into Whoopi Goldberg and Casey Affleck, who had also gone backstage to greet the actors.

Electrical Fire Shuts Down Broadway’s ‘The Book of Mormon’ Theater Until Mid-May

NEW YORK – The acclaimed Broadway sensation “The Book of Mormon” will be pausing its performances until May 17, as the theater undergoes essential repairs following a fire incident that forced the show’s closure.

All performances are suspended until Sunday, May 17. Those holding tickets for the affected dates will be contacted through their original purchase method to arrange refunds or alternative bookings.

In a joint statement released on Wednesday, ATG Entertainment and “The Book of Mormon” announced their collaboration with a team of industry experts to initiate necessary repairs on the venue. They expressed their profound gratitude towards the firefighters and emergency personnel for their courageous and swift actions.

The fire, which ignited on May 4 in an electrical room, inflicted “considerable damage” to the Eugene O’Neill Theatre, as reported by David Simms, Assistant Chief of the New York Fire Department. The fire’s origin remains under investigation. The statement noted that the Fire Department of New York (FDNY) was alerted promptly, arrived within minutes, and efficiently subdued the flames.

Simms explained that the damage was primarily localized to the fourth floor and a rear area housing lighting equipment and suspended chandeliers. Additionally, there was some water damage reported.

“The Book of Mormon” is among Broadway’s longest running shows, with more than 5,000 performances since opening at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre in 2011.

The theater, which opened in 1925, has previously hosted productions of “Sweeney Todd,” a revival of Tennessee Williams’ “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof,” and the rock musical “Spring Awakening,” among many other performances.

New York Court Unveils Jeffrey Epstein’s Suicide Note: Unraveling Mysteries Behind the Infamous Case

0
The note was found by a cellmate of Epstein and turned in to court, where it has remained secret for years.
But it was made public by a judge after the New York Times petitioned for its release.

The note, allegedly penned by Jeffrey Epstein, reads, “They investigated me for months — FOUND NOTHING!!!” It appears to be an expression of defiance, written on a torn piece of yellow legal pad paper.

Another line from the note states, “It is a treat to be able to choose one’s time to say goodbye,” suggesting a sense of control over his situation.

The note also asks rhetorically, “Watcha want me to do — Bust out cryin!!” This line seems to convey a sense of bravado, as if refusing to show vulnerability.

Although intriguing, the note’s authenticity remains unverified. It’s unclear whether Epstein actually wrote it, leaving its true origin and intent a matter of speculation.

It was penned on a piece of yellow paper ripped from a legal pad.

Today’s court ruling states the note predates Epstein’s death by “over a week”.

In deciding to release the note, the judge found “the privacy interests of a third party who is deceased, like Jeffrey Epstein, are vastly reduced”.

Weeks before his death, Epstein had denied a previous suicide attempt and told staff at the jail that marks on his neck were from Tartaglione attacking him.

Epstein was then moved into another cell by himself, where he was found dead.

Epstein’s suicide has been the subject of much conjecture and suspicion.

Tartaglione, a former police officer, is serving four life sentences after being convicted of killing four people.

He has repeatedly denied causing any harm to Epstein.

He gave the note to his lawyer to submit to court, out of fear he would be accused of harming Epstein again.

He has been cleared of any involvement in Epstein’s death.

The note was released after the judge got the blessing of Tartaglione’s lawyers and the prosecutors who tried his case.

It was not included in the as-yet-released Epstein files and has not been mentioned in formal investigations of his death.

Epstein had been indicted on charges of sex trafficking minors at the time of his death.

Local Man Faces Prison Time for Fatal House Fire Incident

Inset: Courtney Allen Thompson Jr. (Galveston County Jail). Background: The home in Galveston, Texas, that Thompson set ablaze, killing a 55-year-old woman (KTRK).

A Texas man has been sentenced to life imprisonment after setting a deadly fire in a tragic case of a debt dispute that ended with the death of an innocent woman. Courtney Allen Thompson Jr., age 22, was found guilty of capital murder following the death of 55-year-old Renita Hawthorne in Galveston.

In February 2024, the Galveston fire and police departments responded to a devastating blaze in the 700 block of 39th Street. Emergency crews managed to rescue three individuals, including two children, by breaking through a bedroom window. Unfortunately, they could not reach Hawthorne in time, and she succumbed to carbon monoxide poisoning and severe burns.

The fire was quickly identified as a case of arson. Investigators focused on Thompson and a local drug dealer known as Xavier Faison, or “Saccathon,” though Faison himself was not charged. During the trial, Hawthorne’s son revealed that Faison had been issuing threats to both him and his mother over an outstanding drug debt.

According to court records cited by CBS affiliate KHOU, Faison had sent messages to the son, including ominous warnings like “See y’all ready to play” and “Don’t your mama drive that truck with the window busted?” These chilling communications underscored the tension and threat that preceded the tragic incident.

According to court documents obtained by local CBS affiliate KHOU, Faison sent messages to Hawthorne’s son saying “See y’all ready to play” and “Don’t your mama drive that truck with the window busted?”

Surveillance video depicted a black vehicle driving around the area. The SUV stopped and two men, including one holding a gas can, walked up to the home. They ran away and flames erupted at the home shortly thereafter.

Thompson poured gasoline in the entry points of the home, making it impossible to escape without the help of firefighters.

Prosecutors said Faison bragged about the fire in a video posted to his Instagram page, saying he was prepared to burn down all of Galveston and hoped Hawthorne was dead.

At trial, jurors also heard from a jailhouse informant who said Thompson admitted to setting the fire. The informant said he came forward because he did not like how Thompson was bragging about killing an innocent woman.

Prosecutor Adam Poole represented the state in the case.

“During closing arguments, Poole argued that setting the fire at each of the doors showed that Thompson’s intent was to trap and kill everyone inside, and likened his actions to building a tomb and then setting it on fire. Poole referenced one of Thompson’s Instagram posts in arguing that Thompson saw Renita Hawthorne as a stack of cash that he could balance in his head and flaunt on social media.”

Jeffrey Epstein’s Suicide Note Released to Public After Delayed Disclosure

0

After being kept sealed for several years, an alleged suicide note penned by Jeffrey Epstein has now come to light.

Per The New York Times, the note contains statements like, “They investigated me for months — FOUND NOTHING!!!”

Epstein expressed a sense of autonomy in choosing when to end his life, writing, “It is a treat to be able to choose one’s time to say goodbye. Watcha want me to do — Bust out cryin!!”

The note ends starkly with the words “NO FUN,” which are emphatically underlined, followed by “NOT WORTH IT!!”

This note was discovered after Epstein was found with a strip of cloth around his neck in July 2019, following an unsuccessful suicide attempt.

In August of that year Epstein killed himself inside Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York City at the age of 66.

The note was made public on Wednesday after The New York Times petitioned the court to unseal it.

Epstein’s cellmate Nicholas Tartaglione found the note after the failed attempt and it ended up being part of his own criminal case.

In an interview with the outlet, Tartaglione said the note was found tucked inside a graphic novel after Epstein was moved to a different part of the jail.

He then handed it over to his lawyers after Epstein claimed that it was Tartaglione that had hurt him, not himself.

There was no mention of the note as part of the official investigation into Epstein’s death.

A chronology which mentions the existence of the note was found inside the Epstein files which details its journey after being passed around numerous lawyers.

That file said that Tartaglione’s lawyers managed to authenticate the note, an explanation as to how they did so is not revealed.

Judge Kenneth Karas asked the parties involved if they had any view on the note being made public.

The US attorney’s office in Manhattan, who prosecuted Tartaglione, said ‘there appears to be a strong public interest in the circumstances surrounding Epstein’s death’, the Times reported.

Following the release of more than three million documents related to the late sex offender by the DOJ, more questions have been raised about the nature of his death.

Earlier this year never-before-seen footage revealed the moment prison guards found the pedophile’s corpse.

A video shows the a guard approaching a desk near Epstein’s cell at 6:30am on the day of his death. Seconds later, the person then makes his way to the cell.

Over a minute after this, a guard can be seen moving back and forth between the security desk, where he is joined by two others, and the area housing Epstein’s cell.

The guards are then seen running between the two areas. Epstein was officially declared dead at 6:39am.

His post-mortem found three distinct fractures were identified on his neck: one on the left hyoid and one in the thyroid cartilage on the right side, and one on the left.

At the time of his death he had pleaded not guilty after federal prosecutors charged him with sex trafficking minors and conspiracy. He was awaiting trial when he died.

His suicide fueled public speculation that he was assassinated as part of a cover-up to protect high-profile individuals who were potentially complicit in his crimes.

From that, a theory that the well-connected financier maintained a list of clients to whom underage girls were trafficked emerged.

Aside from Ghislaine Maxwell, who was jailed for 20 years for her role in luring underage girls for her former boyfriend Epstein, there have been no US arrests relating to the financier or the names released in the files relating to him.

Comprehensive Report Unveils Allegations Against Lake City Daycare Employee

Authorities took Alyssa Thompson into custody at Wee Care Too after discovering a child experiencing a critical medical situation, characterized by seizures, lethargy, and feverish symptoms.

LAKE CITY, Fla. — New revelations have emerged regarding the arrest of a daycare worker from Lake City, who now faces charges of child abuse.

First Coast News obtained an arrest report from the Lake City Police that outlines accusations against 30-year-old Alyssa Thompson.

The report details how officers were dispatched to Wee Care Too approximately two weeks ago in response to a child undergoing a severe medical episode, including seizures and signs of lethargy with high fever.

This story continues below.

During the police presence, the child suffered another seizure and was immediately transported to the hospital for urgent care.

Lake City Police reports the day care director looked at surveillance video of the infant room after the incident and found some “inappropriate behavior” by Thompson.

Lake City Police says the video shows Thompson toss a child forcefully into a bouncy chair, hitting its head on the metal bar of the chair.

Police say the video shows 20 minutes later, Thompson grabbed a child from the crib and dropped them on the changing table from a height that caused its head to bounce several times.

When she picked the child off the table, she found it was limp and not moving, so she ran for help.

Lake City Police reviewed another video from a week prior the agency says shows Thompson tossing children onto changing tables, causing their heads to bounce off the railing, shaking a child hard and smacking the legs on a child.

Wee Care Too shared in a statement that the day care called the Department of Children and Family Services and the police after they became aware of the situation.

The daycare said Thompson was only hired three months prior after it performed a background check and received a strong recommendation from her previous employer. The daycare says Thompson is no longer employed there.

Wee Care Too went on to say “These are not just students to us. They are children we know, children we pray over and children we are committed to protecting and nurturing with everything we have.”

According to Lake City Police, as of Monday, the child was still in the hospital, two full weeks after incident.

Federal Judge Unseals Jeffrey Epstein’s Alleged Suicide Note in Cellmate’s Legal Battle

0

A federal judge in New York has mandated the disclosure of a letter believed to be a suicide note penned by Jeffrey Epstein to his former cellmate, Nicholas Tartaglione. The decision came after The New York Times requested to have the document unsealed.

This note had previously been kept confidential within the legal proceedings of Tartaglione’s case, where he was found guilty of committing multiple murders during his time as a police officer.

Judge Kenneth Karas of the U.S. District Court determined that the letter should be released to the public, stating that there was no valid justification to maintain its secrecy.

The handwritten letter from Epstein suggests a connection to earlier investigations and conveys his dissatisfaction, with statements like, “They investigated me for months – found nothing!!!” and concludes with, “Time to say goodbye.” Some parts of the note are challenging to decipher.

Chicago’s Soldier Field Saga: Mayor Johnson Rallies in Springfield to Retain Bears NFL Team

0

Chicago’s Mayor Brandon Johnson hit the corridors of power in Springfield on Wednesday, advocating for a suite of financial initiatives he hopes to see realized. His agenda includes a significant effort to ensure the Chicago Bears remain loyal to their hometown.

This push coincides with legislative discussions regarding a proposal that could pave the way for the Bears to relocate to Arlington Heights.

Mayor Johnson has teamed up with fellow city leaders to present a unified front in urging state legislators to maintain the current allocation of state income tax revenues to local municipalities, rather than reducing it.

Amidst these efforts, Johnson faces the formidable task of keeping the Bears anchored at Soldier Field, countering the potential move that could see the team leave its iconic home.

But he’s also fighting an uphill battle to prevent the Bears from moving out of Soldier Field.

Johnson hosted a breakfast reception for members of the Chicago delegation. He aimed to win support for a host of progressive revenue ideas that include a digital ad tax.

“This is the best time for investments in Chicago. This is not the time in which, you know, we provide tax benefit to the ultra-rich and big corporations, when affordability is the top issue that people are paying attention to,” Johnson said.

He was joined by several progressive City Council members to help make his case as the legislature heads into the final weeks of this session.

“I think there’s plenty of time. I mean, the revenue part is going to be part of the budget package. And we are, you know, we’re well into the process, but there is plenty of room to move on this. So, I think his visit is well-timed,” state Sen. Robert Martwick said.

As for the Bears, the push continues even though the team has made it clear they are only considering Arlington Heights or Hammond, Indiana.

“As a Chicago legislator, I want to see the Bears stay in Chicago, but we can’t force the Bears to play where they don’t want to play. And given the option between Arlington Heights and Hammond … I would prefer the Bears play in Arlington Heights,” state Sen. Bill Cunningham said. “So one of the things we might look at is trying to see if that property tax relief could be better targeted at a smaller geographic area or more targeted towards people who most need property tax relief. Those are the things that we’re examining right now in the Senate.”

The Senate is working on changes to a “mega projects bill” that would provide tax breaks for the Bears and clear the way for them to build a new stadium in Arlington Heights.

The team would make a payment to local taxing bodies in lieu of the property tax.

It included some broader property tax relief for homeowners, but a hypothetical analysis by the governor’s office said it would have a negligible impact.

“So, we need to be having conversations about how that bill can be improved to make sure that that happens. And if not, then maybe it’s not the right time to get it,” state Sen. Karina Villa said.

Mayor Johnson also met with House Speaker Emanuel Chris Welch and is not giving up hope of keeping the Bears in Chicago.

“The reason why the Bears did not proceed with the plans in Chicago is because we didn’t get any cooperation from the state of Illinois. Now, the state of Illinois is saying that they’re willing to cooperate. So, let’s take that level of cooperation that’s being applied to the suburbs that was not applied to the city of Chicago,” Johnson said.

Illinois lawmakers’ spring session ends on May 31.

The Bears have said they plan to share an update on their new stadium plans by late spring or early summer.

Another priority on the mayor’s agenda, one that brought together more than a dozen other mayors, is restoring local government distributive funds, known as LGDF. That money is the portion of state income taxes that is shared with local municipalities, that they say is being cut this year.

“While we acknowledge the steps that leaders in Springfield have taken to navigate the fiscal challenges that Illinois is facing, we cannot balance the state fund or state budget on the backs of local governments at a time when federal support is dwindling,” Johnson said.

The governor’s office says municipalities will not lose any dollars in his budget plan.

Other mayors and lawmakers say the underlying problem goes back to 2011, when the state started reducing LGDF funds from 10 percent; now it’s down to just over 6 percent.

“Local governments have lost $15 billion in total LGDF funds that should have gone to local governments,” Palos Hills Mayor Jerry Bennett said.

Mayor Johnson will remain in Chicago for one more night, with more meetings with lawmakers scheduled Wednesday night and Thursday morning.

Bill Clinton’s Rare NYC Appearance: Former President Attends Addiction Shelter Groundbreaking Amid Health Concerns

0

Bill Clinton’s recent appearance at a groundbreaking ceremony in Brooklyn was marked by a visible frailty and difficulty in speech. The 79-year-old former president attended the event on Wednesday morning to support the development of an $18 million men’s addiction treatment center.

Held in Crown Heights, the ceremony celebrated the expansion of Anchor House Men’s Addiction Rehabilitation Facility, a faith-based initiative that holds personal significance for Clinton. Local officials and community members joined him for the occasion.

Clinton took the opportunity to reflect on his family’s own battles with addiction, speaking softly and with evident strain. He recounted the struggles faced by his brother, who has battled substance abuse for nearly five decades.

“I have a brother I’m very proud of who was in rehab four times, was in prison for 14 months, and was very near death after battling it for 50 years, almost,” Clinton shared, his voice revealing both emotion and vulnerability.

He continued, “And just when it seemed that all of our time had gone out, he decided he wanted to live. And there were people there who wanted to help him stay alive.” Clinton proudly noted that his brother has since achieved sobriety, describing it as “a bigger achievement than anything I ever did.”

“We should thank the people who are involved in this work, we should say thank you,” Clinton declared, quipping that he’s needed plenty of second chances – especially as the oldest person in the room.

“So this is a place of second chances.”

The expanded Bergen Street facility, designed by Urban Architects, will add 10,800 square-feet to boost capacity to 70 beds, with upgraded rooms and new shared spaces for treatment, mental health care and family support services, according to Anchor House.

The building will also include a courtyard and oversized windows to flood the treatment floors with natural light.

“Today, we stand on sacred ground, not simply to break soil but to disrupt cycles, not simply to build but to restore, not simply to expand the facility, but to expand hope, healing and the future of recovery in Brooklyn, because the crisis before us is not abstract,” Anchor House executive director Alison King said.

“It’s urgent, it’s local, and it’s deeply human.”

Mike Vrabel and Dianna Russini Enjoy Private Boat Outing Ahead of Her First Child’s Arrival: Report

Nearly a year after being seen sharing a kiss in a New York City bar, Mike Vrabel and Dianna Russini reportedly rented a private boat together, just months ahead of Russini’s first child’s birth.

In June 2021, the NFL coach and the former ESPN reporter are said to have rented a boat for a couple of hours in Putnam County, Tennessee, according to a source who spoke directly to TMZ.

Documents reviewed by the outlet reveal that Vrabel and Russini, who were reportedly the only individuals on board, both signed a waiver prior to setting sail.

TMZ noted that the pair was particularly cautious about any photos being taken during the outing. While Russini declined to pose for pictures with the staff, Vrabel permitted just one photo, explicitly requesting it not be shared publicly.

Representatives for both Vrabel and Russini did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment as of Wednesday.

At the time, Russini was pregnant with her first child with husband Kevin Goldschmidt, whom she married in 2020. Months later, on Aug. 7, 2021, she gave birth to her first son, also named Michael.

Last month, Page Six released exclusive photos of Vrabel and Russini embracing and holding handsat the Ambiente in Sedona, Arizona, in March.

A spy told Page Six that during the March getaway, the duo had breakfast at the hotel restaurant patio around 10:30 a.m.

Then they spent about an hour together at the pool and lounging in a hot tub, per the eyewitness, before being seen that evening on the private rooftop of a resort bungalow.

The New England Patriots head coach — who has been married to Jen Vrabel since 1999 — and the reporter denied any wrongdoing and said they were joined by several other pals at the resort.

Vrabel told Page Six that the photos “show a completely innocent interaction and any suggestion otherwise is laughable” and said it “doesn’t deserve any further response.”

Russini, meanwhile, said that the photos “don’t represent the group of six people who were hanging out during the day. Like most journalists in the NFL, reporters interact with sources away from stadiums and other venues.”

The reporter was sidelined by the New York Times before resigning from her post as senior NFL insider at the Athletic.

Snapshots of Vrabel and Russini kissing in a New York City bar in 2020 — years before being spotted in Arizona — were subsequently published by Page Six on April 23.

“They were kissing and they were all over each other,” an eyewitness told us, noting that Vrabel “had a ring on.”

Vrabel announced he would step away from the Patriots the third day of the 2026 NFL Draft to seek counseling and focus on his family and marriage, stating that his “previous actions don’t meet the standards that I hold myself to” during a NFL press conference that day. He added that his “family needs me this weekend and that’s where I’ll be.”

Following the release of new photos, Russini deleted her social media accounts. Vrabel and his wife, meanwhile, headed to Park City, Utah, where they are said to own a home, for an emergency 24-hour marriage summit.

Russini was offered a new job by her pal Jon “Stugotz” Weiner amid the drama.

“I did say if the Athletic fired her, I would hire her,” he said during a recent episode of his “Stugotz and Company” podcast.

“They didn’t fire her,” he said. “She stepped down from the Athletic, and the offer holds forever.”
