In a tragic turn of events in Florida, a man stands accused of murdering his wife following what should have been a pleasant date night. The authorities discovered “pools of blood” scattered throughout the couple’s home, painting a grim picture of the incident.
Bradly Shawn Shadduck, aged 56, faces a murder charge related to the death of his wife, Lynne Alane Shadduck, who was 62. This charge comes in the wake of an investigation led by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, as detailed in their official statement.
Bradly Shadduck Allegedly Reported House Was “Full of Blood”
The authorities were alerted to the situation when Bradly reportedly appeared at a neighbor’s door early in the morning, clad only in a Cleveland Browns blanket. At around 5:45 a.m., he requested that the neighbor contact emergency services, allegedly exclaiming, “dude, my f—king whole house is full of blood,” according to an arrest report reviewed by Oxygen.
Upon their arrival, deputies found Lynne Shadduck lying unclothed in the hallway of their residence. The report noted she suffered from multiple abrasions across her limbs, a swollen eye, a laceration on her forehead, and a head injury. Despite these severe injuries, she was still breathing and had a pulse when authorities first arrived. She was quickly transported to the hospital, where her injuries ultimately proved fatal.
When questioned at the scene, Bradly reportedly expressed bewilderment, stating, “This just happened,” while urging for assistance for his wife. The case remains a shocking and somber reminder of domestic tragedy.
During a later interview with detectives at the station, Bradly allegedly said that he and his wife had gone to dinner at Tonio’s Seafood Restaurant in Summerland Key and had “lots of drinks,” according to the court documents.
“Bradly was unsure on how they returned home and unknown at what time,” the report stated. “Bradly said that Lynne and he have rough sex and that is why the inside of the home is a complete mess. Bradly said that when he drinks, he passes out and doesn’t remember anything.”
Authorities said he also claimed to have no recollection of going to the neighbor’s home that morning to ask for help, though the interaction was captured on the neighbor’s surveillance camera. The interview ended after Bradly requested an attorney.
Surveillance Footage Allegedly Showed Bradly Shadduck at Neighbor’s Home
During their investigation, authorities also collected surveillance footage from another neighbor which showed the couple leaving for dinner around 10:30 p.m. in a red Jeep Grand Cherokee and returning in the same vehicle around 1:35 a.m., per the report.
The cameras did not show anyone else going down the street by foot or vehicle for the rest of the night, authorities said. The footage did capture Bradly arriving at the neighbor’s home around 4:07 a.m. and “banging on the windows and front door” for several minutes, while wearing light-colored shorts and no shirt.
“Bradly is heard breathing heavily and attempts to open the front door by entering the passcode, but was unsuccessful,” authorities wrote in the report. “Bradly is seen banging on the windows and doors for approximately 2-3 minutes. Bradly is then seen grabbing the railing with both hands and shaking it.”
Investigators discovered “two bloody prints” on the railing and collected evidence at the scene.
Investigators found “Pools of Blood,” Broken Objects in Shadduck Home
Investigators described the couple’s own home as being “a complete disaster.”
“There was blood throughout the entire residence, from the front door there was bloody hand smears along with pools of blood on the floor in the main living area,” authorities wrote in the report. “Several items, objects and or instruments were broken throughout the entire residence.”
They also found blood-soaked towels and a bloody smear on the floor “as if the victim was dragged down the hallway to the bathroom.” Investigators also reported blood on the sheets in the master bedroom.
Investigators believed the broken objects and significant amount of blood found throughout the house suggested there had been “a significant fight or struggle,” per the report.
It’s unclear who is representing Bradly in court. He is expected to be arraigned on the charges against him on June 5, according to jail records reviewed by Oxygen.
