Sydney Sweeney Triumphs in Latest American Eagle Campaign

Sydney Sweeney is making a stylish return, teaming up once again with American Eagle. The “Euphoria” actress is the face of their latest campaign, which highlights a collection of summer-ready jean shorts.

The campaign, cleverly titled “Syd for Short: American Eagle Jean Shorts,” features Sweeney in a series of playful looks. She sports cut-off shorts paired with a baby tee and a light button-up shirt, showcasing a relaxed summer vibe. In a fun twist, she drops the second half of her name and the lower half of her pants for the shoot.

In the campaign video, Sweeney engages with viewers by asking, “What brand am I wearing?” before cheekily answering, “Yeah, that one.”

This collaboration, much like her first with American Eagle, has a charitable angle. It includes exclusive denim pieces created to benefit the Crisis Text Line, a nonprofit dedicated to providing round-the-clock mental health support. The Syd Jean and the Syd Short, adorned with butterfly motifs as a tribute to domestic violence survivors, will donate 100% of their net proceeds to the organization.

Just like Sweeney’s first AE collab, the ads also include custom denim styles designed to support Crisis
Text Line, a nonprofit that provides 24/7 mental health support. 100% of the net proceeds of the Syd Jean and the Syd Short, both featuring butterfly details in honor of domestic violence survivors, will be donated to the organization.

“There’s something timeless about a great pair of jean shorts. They’re simple, but they make you feel confident and put-together without trying too hard,” Sweeney shared in a press release.

“Crisis Text Line, a cause so close to my heart, has been a part of this partnership from the beginning. I love knowing that when everyone wears these pieces, they are also a part of something meaningful, that directly helps people who need it.”

Unveiled in July 2025, Sweeney’s debut American Eagle campaign was similarly denim-centric.

However, the ads — which praised the 28-year-old star’s “Great Jeans” — quickly sparked controversy with its play on the word “genes.”

In a press release after the backlash — which Sweeney called “surreal” — American Eagle backed their star, whose custom designs for the company sold out in mere days.

“We’ll continue to celebrate how everyone wears their AE jeans with confidence, their way,” the statement read, in part. “Great jeans look good on everyone.”

And the actress’ campaign was the brand’s “most successful to date,” according to the company, which reported $1.28 billion in revenue for the quarter her ads was released.

“Sweeney is a winner,” AE chief marketing officer Craig Brommers said on an earnings call.

It would appear other retailers are taking note; Sweeney’s lingerie brand, Syrn, launched earlier this year with backing from none other than Jeff Bezos.

Massachusetts Mansion Heist: Suspect Apprehended After Violent Housekeeper Attack

0

A suspect has been apprehended following a brazen break-in at a $20 million oceanfront mansion in Massachusetts. Two masked men reportedly stormed the residence, assaulted a housekeeper, restrained her, and held her at gunpoint while allegedly making off with valuables worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.

The 25-year-old suspect, identified as Emajae Brown, is facing multiple charges, including home invasion, kidnapping, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, witness intimidation, armed assault within a dwelling, larceny exceeding $1,200, nighttime burglary with intent to commit a felony, motor vehicle theft, and armed burglary.

Authorities detained Brown in Gloucester, and prosecutors, citing Boston 25 News, have deemed him a threat to public safety.

The incident unfolded on the morning of March 28, when a concerned neighbor on Paine Avenue in Beverly, Massachusetts, dialed 911 to report the intrusion.

Investigators learned that two armed suspects had broken into the mansion and assaulted and tied up a housekeeper who was inside the home before leaving with several valuable items. The housekeeper was the only person home at the time of the incident.

During the burglary, the suspects allegedly grabbed the housekeeper’s phone and tossed it in the ocean, according to CBS Boston. They also allegedly made her find bleach and place valuable items in trash bags.

“What they did to my housekeeper was just horrendous,” homeowner Thomas Swan III told WCVB last month after the heist.

“She was held at gunpoint, sometimes dragged by her hair, ultimately tied up and left in the garage. She’s really, really special, but truly traumatized by this, truly traumatized,” he added.

After the suspects left, the housekeeper escaped and went to a neighbor’s home to call for help. She was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and later released.

“She went on to tell investigators the suspect was pointing a firearm at her head and escorting her around the home,” a prosecutor said in court on Tuesday, according to CBS Boston.

One robber fled the scene with several valuables, including money and gold, in a Porsche stolen from the home. That vehicle was later located by police several miles away near a cemetery in Lynn.

Ring cameras were able to locate Brown, who was tracked through phone surveillance to New York City, where he was allegedly meeting with a jewelry dealer, according to Boston 25 News.

Local and federal authorities eventually found more than $300,000 and numerous gold items in his car, the outlet reported.

Police also said Brown was the ex-boyfriend of another housekeeper who worked at the home. The prosecutor said they learned that Brown had an open domestic charge from an incident at the Encore Boston Harbor casino.

Brown was ordered held without bail until the next hearing on April 21.

Open Heaven 15 April 2026 – Reversing Death

Open Heaven 15 April 2026 Wednesday Daily Devotional By Pastor E. A. Adeboye – Reversing Death

Open Heaven 15 April 2026 TOPIC – Reversing Death

MEMORISE: Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; – Hebrews 2:14 (KJV)

READ: Luke 7:11-17 (KJV)

11 And it came to pass the day after, that he went into a city called Nain; and many of his disciples went with him, and much people.

12 Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and much people of the city was with her.

13 And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not.

14 And he came and touched the bier: and they that bare him stood still. And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise.

15 And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother.

16 And there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, That a great prophet is risen up among us; and, That God hath visited his people.

17 And this rumour of him went forth throughout all Judaea, and throughout all the region round about.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: 1 Kings 16-18

Open Heaven 15 April 2026 MESSAGE

Yesterday, I discussed how God is able to suspend or reverse natural laws to perform miracles. The Almighty God can sometimes override some laws with superior laws. For example, if a magistrate pronounces a person guilty in a magistrates’ court, and that person appeals to a high court, a judge can rule that the magistrate erred in his or her judgement and annul it. God is the supreme authority in heaven and on earth, and He can override any natural law, including the law of death.

And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go. – John 11:43-44

In the Scripture above, Lazarus had been buried for four days, and according to the law of death, he must have started to rot and stink. However, Jesus applied a higher law – the law of resurrection and life – to override the law of death and decomposition by saying, “Lazarus, come forth!” Immediately He gave that command, the one who had been dead for four days came back to life. The Almighty God is able to reverse the power and effect of death.

When a person dies and begins to decompose, that person’s blood becomes blackish, and his or her skin begins to decay. For Lazarus to have been raised from the dead, it meant that his decaying flesh and blood, which must have become blackish, had to be restored to their normal states. The law of resurrection and life overrode the law of death and decomposition. I pray that the law of resurrection and life will overrule and nullify anything death might have set in motion in your life, family, and business, in Jesus’ name.

In today’s Bible reading, a widow lost her only son to death. She had earlier lost her husband, and now, her only son lay lifeless and was about to be buried. She was in a sorrowful state, but when the Resurrection and the Life appeared on the scene, He turned her mourning into joy. She, who must have been an object of pity in the town because of her losses, became a celebrity because of her miracle. Beloved, I pray for you today that my Daddy will turn every dead situation that has affected your life negatively into a cause for celebration, in Jesus’ name.

Open Heaven 15 April 2026 KEY POINT

The law of death loses its power when the Resurrection and Life is on the scene.

DCLM Daily Manna 15 April 2026 — Success Tests Character

DCLM Daily Manna 15 April 2026 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Success Tests Character

TOPIC: Success Tests Character (DCLM Daily Manna 15 April 2026)

KEY VERSE: Esther had not yet shewed her kindred nor her people; as Mordecai had charged her: for Esther did the commandment of Mordecai, like as when she was brought up with him – Esther 2:20

TEXT: Esther 2:18-20 (KJV)

18 Then the king made a great feast unto all his princes and his servants, even Esther’s feast; and he made a release to the provinces, and gave gifts, according to the state of the king.

19 And when the virgins were gathered together the second time, then Mordecai sat in the king’s gate.

20 Esther had not yet shewed her kindred nor her people; as Mordecai had charged her: for Esther did the commandment of Mordecai, like as when she was brought up with him.

DCLM Daily Manna For Today MESSAGE:

It is almost an uncharted norm in the corporate world to find once humble interns rising through the ranks and eventually disregarding the mentors who once guided them. A young Christian leader, initially eager to learn, may, after experiencing some manifestation of the power of God in his or her ministry, dismiss the very voices that shaped his or her growth. Success has a way of revealing real character.

Esther found herself in such a moment of testing. Once an orphan under Mordecai’s guardianship, she was now queen of the most powerful empire of her time. Divine favour had lifted her from obscurity, yet her response was remarkable. Instead of assuming that her new status exempted her from accountability, she followed Mordecai’s instructions just as she had in her childhood. Our key verse unveils a striking truth: “for Esther did the commandment of Mordecai, like as when she was brought up with him.” Despite her royal elevation, she remained teachable and obedient.

Many today would have reacted differently. A young woman who once lived in obscurity, now seated on a throne, might consider herself beyond the counsel of her elders. Power and influence often lead people to reject authority. Esther, however, saw things differently. She did not let her new status erase the discipline that had shaped her life. This is where many falter. When they sense an increase in social status, wealth, or influence, they detach from the voices that once guided them. Young Christians sometimes reject the counsel of older believers, assuming that modern success makes ancient wisdom irrelevant. Employees promoted to managerial positions dismiss the supervisors who once trained them. Upon gaining financial independence, children no longer see value in parental guidance.

In a world where people chase success at the cost of character, Esther stands out as a reminder that humility is not weakness but wisdom. Growth does not mean severing ties with godly counsel. Who are the Mordecais in your life? Have you forsaken their wisdom simply because you have risen in life? When you consider yourself too great to be guided, you are surely on the path to failure and destruction, like Rehoboam.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Elevation is best served by humility

Lawsuit Targets Trump Administration Over Secretive $1M ‘Gold Card’ Records

0

The Trump administration has been accused of breaking the law by withholding all information related to the president’s $1 million “Gold Card Visa Program” and its effects on the public, as detailed in a recent federal lawsuit filed in Washington, D.C. against multiple government agencies.

The lawsuit, brought forth by the Democracy Defenders Fund along with the Florida-based law firm Colombo & Hurd, targets the State Department, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, the Department of Commerce, and the Department of Homeland Security. The plaintiffs argue that these agencies have failed to release documents of “national significance” that they are entitled to under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).

The Democracy Defenders Fund, co-founded by Norm Eisen, a former ethics advisor during the Obama administration, insists that the public has a right to understand how the Gold Card program, initiated by President Donald Trump via executive order in September, was developed and implemented by these agencies.

In addition to challenging the program itself as a “pay-to-play” scheme that favors wealthy immigrants over professionals like scientists and academics, this nonpartisan, nonprofit organization is now seeking documents to uncover more details. According to Trump and Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, the program has already facilitated the sale of over $1 billion worth of gold cards.

The complaint notes that on February 11, 2026, the Democracy Defenders Fund submitted a FOIA request to the Department of Homeland Security and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. The request sought information on the Gold Card Visa Program’s development and execution to inform the public about government actions, but the defendants have yet to provide any responsive information or invoke any statutory exemptions to justify their noncompliance.

Then the filing turned to the blog post that Lutnick’s agency put up in December, complete with a button to apply for a gold card.

“Our immigration system should put Americans first. That’s exactly why the Trump Gold Card is a major win for our country,” Lutnick declared at the time.

The plaintiffs countered that the Trump administration should be forced to disclose internal documents about the program precisely because the public has been left to rely on only Trump and Lutnick’s assurances.

“Behind closed doors, this administration appears to be trying to turn our immigration system into a bazaar with the privilege of U.S. residency available to the highest bidder. Meanwhile, they are cruelly cracking down on others who are drawn to our shores,” Eisen said in a statement. “The American people deserve to know how this pay-to-play scheme came to be, how the Gold Card applications are processed and how the program adversely impacts qualified applicants whose work in the U.S. would benefit all of us.”

Free Information Group is a public interest law firm also involved in the litigation. Co-founder Kevin Bell stated that “[i]mmigrant visas are not million-dollar Mar-a-Lago memberships.”

“For months President Trump and Secretary Lutnick shifted their story about which foreign interests would benefit and who would suffer the cost. This litigation will reveal the true story. People may lie, but records don’t,” Bell said.

AFL Star Shares Playful Encounter Rating After Meeting Prince Harry

0
The Duke of Sussex took part in a kickaround with children and players at the team’s headquarters at Mission Whitten Oval in Footscray, Melbourne on day two of his Australia visit and proved to fans that he has a “six out of 10” ability to punt the football.

Matthew Kennedy, Tom Liberatore, and Adam Treloar of the Western Bulldogs enjoyed an intimate encounter with the former royal on the field.

Kennedy, after confessing to feeling a bit awestruck, offered a thoughtful critique of Harry’s on-field skills.

“I gave him a six out of 10, still a bit of an improvement to go, but he was really good, he asked us plenty of questions and it was great pleasure to meet him,” Kennedy told Nine.com.au.

“He might need to work on getting the ball to spin correctly,” he commented.

“There were a few errant throws, so that’s where he could start improving.”

In a gesture of camaraderie, the Bulldogs midfielder gifted Harry a team scarf, which the duke wore with pride for the remainder of his visit.

Kennedy joked that he might convince the duke to sign up as a Bulldogs member if his team can lock in a win on Friday.

“I think that’s gonna be pretty tough, but we’ll see how we go,” he laughed.

“Maybe we get the win this weekend, we can get him across.”

Kennedy, who welcomed his son Theo in 2024, said the pair also bonded over fatherhood.

“We spoke about a bit about his, sporting background with rugby, [a] bit about AFL and bit about our kids and stuff, it was a great opportunity,” Kennedy said.

“You don’t get to do that every day… it’s pretty awesome.”

Earlier, Treloar told reporters he thought Harry’s visit was a “big joke” until he saw the media start setting up.

He was chosen as one the players to kick the ball with Harry only yesterday.

“I still didn’t really believe it until he came walking out,” Treloar said.

Western Bulldogs player Adam Treloar

“We don’t usually get that out here in Footscray, so it’s pretty cool.”

During his visit, Harry told the players he often followed the AFL fixtures from his home in the US.

“He was a little bit disappointed that we gave him a kid’s footy,” Treloar added.

“He wanted one of the, the real ones, but he went OK.”

Harry took to the field after joining a panel on mental health hosted by Melbourne-based charity Movember.

Harry and wife Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, are focusing on events that champion community resilience, support for the armed forces and mental health during their whirlwind four-day visit.

It’s their first visit since their 2018 royal tour, and the first since they quit the monarchy in 2020.

The couple will head to Canberra, before returning to Melbourne for a brief visit and a stop in Sydney.

Baby Boomers’ Housing Choices Spark Concerns Over Potential Real Estate Crisis

0

The United States is grappling with a housing crisis, and surprisingly, the culprit is the baby boomer generation.

As millennials and Generation Z embark on their quest for spacious, family-friendly homes, they’re facing a daunting challenge: finding affordable housing options in the current market.

With property prices skyrocketing, older baby boomers are holding onto their expansive homes, effectively locking younger buyers out of desirable market segments.

According to a recent study by real estate platform Redfin, empty-nester baby boomers possess 28 percent of the country’s largest homes.

Remarkably, Redfin’s research highlights that in every major U.S. metropolitan area, these empty-nest boomers own more large homes than millennial families, revealing a significant gap between those who have ample space and those who are in dire need of it.

Millennials with kids only own around 16 percent of large homes with more than three bedrooms in the US.

Gen Z parents, who are just now entering the housing market, own a measly 1 percent of the nation’s large homes.

And for many younger Americans, owning their own home isn’t even on the radar.

Baby Boomers currently own the most large homes with three or more bedrooms

Baby Boomers currently own the most large homes with three or more bedrooms

Around 25 percent of millennial and Gen Z renters say they don’t plan to buy a home anytime soon simply because they can’t afford one where they want to live, no matter how many bedrooms they might want or need.

Shai Reshef, president of the University of the People, cited mounting student loans, in addition to other financial burdens, as reasons why millennials hesitate to buy homes.

‘Young adults do not lack ambition,’ Reshef told The Daily Mail. ‘They are navigating a world where student loan payments, inflated housing costs and tighter lending standards make it much harder to save for a down payment or qualify for a mortgage.’

‘That is why many people in these generations believe homeownership has become less a milestone and more a financial hurdle,’ he added.

Baby boomers, now in their sixties and seventies, have good financial reasons to remain in their giant homes.

More than half of property owners have completely paid off their houses – and for some, the added cost of purchasing a condo just isn’t worth it.

‘I hear empty nesters say they want to downsize, but it’s hard to find move-in ready, small, one-story homes or condos in their price range – especially since many of them are living in a fully paid-off home,’ Philadelphia-based agent Brenda Beiser said during an interview with Redfin.

‘So there’s a lack of movement that’s keeping both older and younger buyers where they are, even though the older ones want a smaller home and the younger ones want a bigger home,’ she added.

Join the discussion

Should empty-nest boomers feel obligated to downsize and make way for younger families?

New Jersey is among the most expensive states to live, with the median household income about $104,000

New Jersey is among the most expensive states to live, with the median household income about $104,000

Empty nesters own the biggest share of homes in Memphis, Tennessee – holding 31  percent of all large houses.

Unsurprisingly, millennials with kids have the biggest share of large homes in Austin, coming in at over 19 percent.

Austin had one of the fastest growing cycles in the country during Covid. When tech workers started moving to the city, developers responded with a surge of apartment construction.

‘That surge in new units has temporarily shifted the market in favor of renters and led to more than two years of rent declines,’ real estate developer Uri Man previously told The Daily Mail.

That’s good news for incoming renters who will have a wide array of luxury apartments, but bad news for current homeowners and sellers, as homes in the area now sit on the market losing value.

Now, the Texas boomtown is among four metros that have 50 percent more homes on the market than pre-pandemic norms, Realtor.com reports.

Home price aside, the rising cost of living makes coveted areas less attainable.

In California, the most expensive state to live in, the median household income was just over $100,000, with the average home value reaching $761,839 as of September 2025.

New Jersey has the second-highest cost of living and the second-most-expensive housing. There, the median household income was around $104,000 and the average home price last September was $562,460.

But the cost of living crisis is impacting residents nationwide – a GOBankingRates report found that Americans must earn at least $100,000 per year to live comfortably in 26 of the nation’s 50 biggest cities.

Heroic Oklahoma Principal Stops Gunman in School Incident Caught on Video

0

A dramatic new video has surfaced, capturing the harrowing moment when a high school principal in Oklahoma courageously faced and subdued a gunman who had opened fire within the school premises.

This gripping footage from Pauls Valley High School reveals Principal Kirk Moore confronting the assailant, identified as 20-year-old Victor Hawkins, a former student, as he entered the building on April 7. In the ensuing confrontation, Moore was shot in the leg, prompting an urgent airlift to a hospital where he is now in stable condition, according to officials.

The video also discloses a crucial detail: an individual opening a door, thereby granting the suspect access to the school.

In a statement, authorities praised Principal Moore’s brave actions in confronting and subduing the shooter, a move that potentially prevented further tragedy. The incident has left an indelible mark on the Pauls Valley school community, underscoring the unpredictable challenges schools face today.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) told KFOR-TV it does not believe the individual was working with the suspect. Investigators have not determined whether the person who opened the door was a student or staff member, a spokesperson said.

An OSBI spokesperson told Fox News Digital there are no other suspects in the incident.

Authorities said the shooting unfolded around 2:21 p.m., prompting a lockdown until officers cleared the scene. Moore and other staff subdued the gunman until law enforcement arrived and arrested Hawkins.

According to an arrest affidavit obtained by the outlet, Hawkins entered the school carrying two loaded semi-automatic pistols.

The affidavit states Moore ran to the lobby after hearing gunfire, where Hawkins allegedly fired at him, striking him in the leg.

Moore then “wrestled with Hawkins on a bench in the foyer and was able to remove Hawkins’ pistol from his hand,” according to the affidavit. Moore and other staff held the suspect down until officers arrived.

Hawkins was charged last week with one count of shooting with intent to kill, one count of carrying a weapon into a public assembly, and two counts of feloniously pointing a firearm.

Court documents reviewed by the outlet show Hawkins studied the Columbine school shooting and told investigators he “wanted to conduct his own school shooting like the Columbine shooters did.”

After entering the school, Hawkins allegedly pointed a gun and yelled for people to “get on the ground, KFOR reported.

He then pointed a gun at a student and attempted to fire, but the weapon malfunctioned, according to the affidavit.

Hawkins attempted to clear the malfunction before later firing at another student, who raised his hands and pleaded not to be shot, the affidavit states.

According to investigators, Hawkins lowered his weapon and told the students to leave.

The OSBI said Moore and school staff acted quickly to stop the attack.

“The principal of the school had noticed that an adult male subject, 20 years old, had stepped foot into the school with a gun,” OSBI spokesperson Hunter McKee told KOCO-TV. “When the principal noticed this, he quickly stepped in, as well as other staff. The subject was able to fire multiple rounds, where the principal was hurt, but no one else was.”

“The actions of the staff and the principal stepping in as soon as they saw a subject with a firearm saved lives today,” McKee added.

Tierra Verde Community Voices Strong Opposition to Proposed Marina Expansion at Town Hall

Residents of Tierra Verde, Florida, remain dissatisfied despite recent revisions to an expansion plan for the local marina. During a town hall meeting on Tuesday, community members expressed their continued opposition to the proposal and vowed to resist its approval.

The development plan, submitted by Greenleaf Capital LLC (Greenleaf) to the City of St. Petersburg on March 10, underwent modifications after the initial application was withdrawn. The updated proposal outlines a single-phase project aimed at modernizing the marina, increasing the high and dry boat storage, and adding new amenities. Notably, the marina’s capacity is now set at 500 dry spaces, down from the originally proposed 548. Additionally, the height of the structure has been reduced from 90 feet to 72 feet, and the existing boat barn will be preserved.
