Trump’s Dominant ‘Lion’ Strategy: Unveiling the Genuine Affection with Xi at the Historic China Summit, According to a Body Language Expert

0

He’s the ruler of the realm.

During the historic summit in Beijing on Wednesday, President Trump did not appear daunted by Chinese President Xi Jinping, according to a body language expert. This analyst likened Trump’s assertive demeanor to that of a lion.

“Trump exudes power and sees this meeting as significant. He is not at all intimidated by Xi. Much like a peacock or a lion, he’s displaying his strength,” explained Lillian Glass, a Florida-based body language expert known for her work in federal and state courts on behavioral analysis, in an interview with The Post.

Glass elaborated that Trump’s confidence was genuine, noting his “very straight” and military-like posture as evidence of his self-assurance.

“He was intensely focused,” the expert added.

Glass noted that during the grand ceremonial at the Great Hall of the People, which marked the president’s first visit to China since 2017, Trump mixed power moves with genuine displays of affection toward Xi.

“Trump was very friendly with patting him,” she said. “They were in close proximity with each other. There were a lot of smiles.”

The back pats were a “power move” but also served as “an affection move.”

“I think there’s some genuine affection between the two,” Glass said. “I think they really do like each other, you could tell.”

The body language expert observed that Xi patted Trump on the back as well, an indication that there was “a mutual connection there.”

“It wasn’t all Trump taking over; it was mutual.”

While Trump looked “very formidable,” his back-and-forth with Xi suggested “a warmth between them.”

“The fact that they were walking in sync, the fact that [Trump] patted [Xi] a lot on his back, and he had his hand on Trump’s back – that was a very good thing,” Glass said, explaining that Trump and Xi matching each other stride-for-stride means “they’re like-minded” and “pretty much on the same page.”

The expert also took note of Trump’s physical stamina – walking at a good clip, going up the Great Hall’s massive steps – arguing it should put to rest any concerns about the president’s health.

“He walked pretty well up those stairs,” Glass said. “I think that destroys any myths [about his health]. He certainly was formidable and walked quite a long distance.”

“He had a good pace. He walked straight. So anybody that’s accusing him of a neurological problem needs to look at themselves, because let me tell you, there’s nothing neurologically impaired about him.”

Finally, Glass observed that during the handshake line with the US delegation, Xi took a particular interest in one Trump administration official – White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller.

“Don’t know if they knew each other, but there was a connection there,” Glass said, noting that Xi spent more time with him than any other US official in the ropeline.

MEMORISE: A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children’s children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just. – Proverbs 13:22 (KJV)

READ: Matthew 7:16-20 (KJV)

16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: 2 Chronicles 25-28

Open Heaven 14 May 2026 MESSAGE

If a fellow constantly takes the wrong steps in life, there is a high tendency that his or her children will do the same. However, if the fellow takes good steps in life by making the right decisions, his or her children will also have a greater chance of taking good steps in life. This is because children naturally follow their parents’ footprints.

For example, in society today, there are many men who, despite hating their fathers for beating their mothers, have become wife-beaters themselves. This is because the moment their fathers opened themselves up to the spirit behind that violent and evil act, they allowed that spirit to have access to their sons also.

Years ago, a single mother asked my wife to speak to her daughters to stop engaging in illicit relationships with men. When my wife started speaking to the girls, one of them said, “Please, counsel our mother to also stop bringing all sorts of men to the house.” The daughters were only taking after their mother, and they knew that as long as she continued in that behaviour, it would be difficult for them to stop.

If you want to be a good parent, decide today to leave a good legacy for your children to follow. Don’t become a bad example to them; rather, determine to be the kind of parent they can look up to and emulate. Some parents think they can do certain things in secret without their children knowing, but believe me, children know far more than people think they know. They can sense many things that are going on around them.

Sometimes, children inherit certain traits from their parents even before they are born. For example, in Genesis 20:2, Abraham lied to Abimelech that Sarah was his sister. Several years later, Isaac, who had not yet been born when Abraham lied to Abimelech, repeated the same lie (Genesis 26:7). Isaac’s son, Jacob, continued the pattern of deception when he stole his brother’s blessing by lying to his father (Genesis 27:1-29), while Jacob’s sons conspired to deceive their father about what happened to Joseph, their brother (Genesis 37:31-33).

Beloved, don’t cultivate unhealthy patterns and habits because your children will be in line to inherit them from you, and unless God intervenes, such negative patterns will continue from generation to generation. Determine today to leave footprints of godliness and righteousness that your children can follow. I pray that the Almighty God will help you as you commit to this, in Jesus’ name.

Open Heaven 14 May 2026 HYMN 24 – I Want To Be Like Jesus

1 I want to be like Jesus,
So lowly and so meek;
For no one marked an angry word,
That ever heard Him speak.

2 I want to be like Jesus,
So frequently in prayer;
Alone upon the mountain top,
He met His Father there.

3 I want to be like Jesus,
I never, never find
That He, though persecuted was
To anyone unkind.

4 I want to be like Jesus,
Engaged in doing good;
So that of me it may be said,
“He hath done what he could.”

5 I want to be like Jesus,
Who sweetly said to all,
“Let little children come to Me,”
I would obey the call.

6 But oh, I’m not like Jesus,
As anyone may see;
O gentle Savior, send Thy grace,
And make me like to thee.

DCLM Daily Manna 14 May 2026 — Satan’s Plot; Christ’s Prayer

DCLM Daily Manna 14 May 2026 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Satan’s Plot; Christ’s Prayer

TOPIC: Satan’s Plot; Christ’s Prayer (DCLM Daily Manna 14 May 2026)

KEY VERSE: And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren – Luke 22:31, 32

TEXT: Luke 22:31-34 (KJV)

31 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:

32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.

33 And he said unto him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee, both into prison, and to death.

34 And he said, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me.

DCLM Daily Manna For Today MESSAGE:

In warfare, a common strategy is to capture or kill key leaders on the enemy’s side to gain tactical advantage. The killing of Osama bin Laden was a pivotal moment in modern history, marking the end of the decade-long chase for the mastermind behind the 9/11 terrorist attacks in the United States. It also crippled and weakened the influence of the Al-Qaeda terrorist group. This kind of strategy also applies in spiritual warfare. The devil targets those he considers key leaders and influential disciples of Christ. Recognising Peter’s significant position and relevance in God’s plan for the Church, he wanted to destroy Peter’s faith and abort God’s plan for him. However, Jesus knew Satan’s plot; thus, He forewarned Peter, reassuring him of His prayers. Rather than heed Christ’s warning, Peter began to boast of his love and loyalty to Christ.

Satan’s plot against Peter applies to all believers. He constantly desires to take us down. The devil considers every believer a potential threat to him and his kingdom. Therefore, he tries to get the believer out of favour with God and render him weak and useless such that he can no longer pose a threat to him. Satan uses fierce and bitter opposition or subtle temptations to allure the unsuspecting Christian. But we have the comforting assurance that Jesus is praying for us.

However, Christ’s intercession for us does not absolve us of the responsibility of staying on guard always. While we are not to become scared of the devil, we cannot afford to be carefree, careless, presumptuous, or self-confident. We must constantly watch and pray. There is no spiritual level we can attain, or how close to God we can be, that will keep us out of the devil’s temptations and plot. Satan does not give up on anyone at all. He does not mind waiting as long as it takes to hunt down a believer. We must, therefore, constantly watch and pray. Take to the counsel of Charlotte Elliott, the hymn writer:

“Gird thy heavenly armour on,
Wear it ever night and day;
Ambushed lies the evil one;
Watch and pray.” As long as we keep trusting in the Lord and abide in His words, we can be sure of victory over the devil no matter how long and hard he tries!

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Those who keep their watch in prayer will overcome the devil’s schemes.

Rhapsody Of Realities 14 May 2026: Know And Worship Him As Lord

Rhapsody Of Realities 14 May 2026 By Pastor Chris Oyakhilome (Christ Embassy): Know And Worship Him As Lord

TOPIC: Know And Worship Him As Lord (Rhapsody of Realities 14 May 2026)

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved (Romans 10:9).

Rhapsody Of Realities For Today’s MESSAGE:

Until you come to terms with who the Lord Jesus really is, you can’t serve Him or walk with Him. As long as He is to you “the Son of God” without a definition, He remains abstract, and you won’t relate with Him rightly.

Even the way many address Him reveals what they know. There’s a difference between talking about Him and talking to Him. You can say “Jesus” when you’re talking about Him, but when you’re talking to Him, you address Him as Lord.

After His resurrection and ascension, no one ever addressed Him casually as Jesus but as Lord Jesus. When you know Him, you recognise His lordship. Some people say Jesus appeared to them, but if they truly saw Him, there would be a change in their reverence and honour.

Saul of Tarsus had an encounter on the road to Damascus. A light struck him down, and he heard a voice calling his name: “…Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?” (Acts 9:4). His response was immediate: “…Who art thou, Lord?…” (Acts 9:5). He recognised that the One who manifested such power could only be the Lord.

When the Lord answered, “…I am Jesus whom thou persecutest…” (Acts 9:5), Saul didn’t respond by addressing Him casually. From then on, he related to Him as Lord. The same truth is seen in the experience of John. In Revelation 1:17, he says, “And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead….”

This was the glorified Christ. Power was present, and John fell under that manifestation. Then the Lord laid His right hand upon him and spoke words of blessing: “…Fear not; I am the first and the last” (Revelation 1:17).

When you recognise Him as Lord, your fellowship with Him becomes richer. Your reverence deepens. Your consciousness of His glory increases. And you discover that even with a few words, your prayer becomes full of power because you’re relating with Him as He truly is: the Lord Jesus Christ.

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for unveiling to me the reality of the lordship of Jesus Christ. I honour Him with reverence, and I relate with Him with the consciousness of His glory, majesty and authority. My fellowship with Him is deep and rich, and I walk in the power of His Name and the dominion of His Kingdom, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Joan Collins Unveils Her Timeless Beauty Secrets at 92

0

Joan Collins became a worldwide sensation in 1981 when she took on the role of the cunning Alexis Colby in the popular prime-time soap opera, Dynasty.

Nearly fifty years later, Collins continues to defy time, maintaining her vibrant and youthful appearance.

At 92 years old, the actress demonstrated that age is just a number when she graced the 79th annual Cannes Film Festival with her presence on Tuesday, exuding true Hollywood allure.

Attending the opening ceremony, Joan showcased her timeless style in a stunning white gown, complemented by a sparkling diamond necklace and elegant black gloves.

Throughout her illustrious career, Joan Collins has achieved a level of success that many actresses aspire to, all while retaining her fresh and ageless charm.

So, what is the secret behind Joan’s remarkable youthfulness? The Daily Mail finds out.

While she has been captivating audiences for decades, her fitness and nutrition have been just as enduring.

‘My exercise regime has changed a lot over the years. I was very active as a young girl. From the time I was 16, I went to discotheques, dance halls, and nightclubs and danced the night away for hours and hours,’ she told Platinum magazine.

After that, she would do a lot of gym workouts and Pilates, but admitted as you get old you ‘cannot put that amount of stress on your body’.

In fact, she had to scale back her movement in recent years due to a trapped nerve, which led to her not being able to function for about two months.

However, with the help of physiotherapy, she has been able to fully recover.

Joan described physiotherapy as an essential part of her daily routine and staying active in later life in general.

She told My Weekly magazine: ‘I highly recommend working out with a physiotherapist for older men and women who want to stay fit.

‘Half an hour a day is mostly what I do and I’ve found that it gives me energy.’

Her philosophy of ‘little and often’ also applies to her practice of swimming regularly.

Staying so active has kept her limber and mobile, and she has revealed on numerous occasions that she is still able to do the splits.

‘I do the splits very easily,’ she said on BBC Radio 4 Woman’s Hour.

When it comes to food, Joan tends to favour nutritious whole foods, and even eats an avocado every day.

‘I eat an avocado every day and have facials in New York with a girl called Tracie Martyn. She works a lot of oxygen into my skin,’ she told The Express.

Avocados are highly nutritious and offer healthy monounsaturated fats, fiber, and essential nutrients.

They improve heart health by lowering LDL cholesterol, support digestive health and promote satiety for weight management.

Joan has often said that she stays away from junk food and credits her youthful appearance to a balanced diet – but without denying herself life’s pleasures, including a glass of fizz or pudding if she wants it.

Speaking previously to the Daily Mail, she once said: ‘The quality of what you eat is as important as the quality of the products you use’.

‘I try to eat a balanced diet. I believe eating avocados is very beneficial and I believe in taking vitamin supplements – I take Vitamin C, E and Omega oils.’

Maintaining a healthy approach to treats and working with a nutritionist to the stars, Gabriela Peacock, has worked wonders in her later life – but Joan admits she may just have been served up some great genes.

She told OK! magazine: ‘I don’t stuff myself with food. I only eat half of what’s on my plate, and I won’t deprive myself.

‘I’ll drink wine, have dessert, eat toast, and have coffee with sugar,’ Joan said. ‘I think I’m just lucky.’

Plastic surgery may have been all the rage at the height of Joan’s Dynasty fame, but the star has always been resolute about dodging the surgeon’s knife.

The Golden Globe winner wrote in The Telegraph: ‘A lot of people think I’ve had a ton of work done. To set the record straight: I have not.’

‘I haven’t had Botox, I haven’t had any tweakments, I haven’t had fat injections, and honestly, when I look at the women who have – certainly a lot of women in their 40s – it appalls me.’

Speaking to The Sun in 2017, Joan pushed back at those who refuse to believe she hasn’t enjoyed the nips and tucks of a surgeon’s knife.

She said: ‘If people want to think I’ve had surgery, then… You can tell [I haven’t] because I have lines and jowls. When I see women around my age, I think, ‘Oh, really? My gosh, I look quite a bit…, I think I look pretty good!’

She continued: ‘I also always, always sleep on my back. I’ve trained myself to, because I used to sleep on my side, scrunched up into the pillow, and then I was told not to because it gives you ‘scrunchy face’. Which is absolutely true.’

One of Joan’s most important anti-ageing tips is to never leave home without SPF on, and to always keep her face out of the sun.

She told You Magazine in 2014: ‘I have always worn sun protection and have kept my face away from harmful rays since I was 20.

‘You should see me when I wake up in the morning: my face is so white, it’s like a sheet.’

She added: ‘I’ve saved my face by always wearing a hat in the sun. The rest of me is not as good as it should be, because I do go in the sun. I love getting a tan. It means I can wear off-the-shoulder things.’

Joan revealed: 'I haven't had Botox, I haven't had any tweakments, I haven't had fat injections, and honestly, when I look at the women who have ¿ it appalls me'

And there’s discipline when it comes to her skincare routine.

She previously told The Mirror: ‘I don’t go to bed without taking off my makeup and putting on night cream. My mother had me and sister Jackie doing that when we were 14.’

The Dynasty star revealed her bedtime skincare routine involves wiping off her makeup with a Nivea cleanser, before applying a night cream by Charlotte Tilbury.

Joan also shared her secret routine before attending red carpet events: ‘Before all big events and post-flights, I get a bowl of ice and cotton pads, cool the pads and place them on my eyes, then lie down for five minutes.

‘It reduces puffiness and refreshes the eyes.’

It is one of the simple tricks the star learnt from Allan ‘Whitey’ Snyder, the famous makeup artist who used to get Marilyn Monroe ready for filming.

Tragic Las Vegas Grocery Store Incident Linked to Ongoing Custody Dispute, Police Report

0

In a tragic turn of events, a man from Las Vegas is facing charges of double murder following a deadly shooting incident at a local grocery store. Alejandro Estrada, aged 43, is accused of fatally shooting his ex-wife, Amanda Rosas, and her husband, Victor Frias Rosas, at their workplace on a fateful Tuesday.

According to police reports, Estrada entered the Smith’s grocery store, where the couple was employed, and immediately commenced shooting. The chaos was eventually subdued by courageous patrons who managed to tackle Estrada, restraining him until law enforcement arrived on the scene.

Tragically, Amanda and Victor Frias Rosas were declared dead at the location, marking a devastating outcome for their family and community.

The background to this heartbreaking incident reveals a fraught relationship between Amanda and Estrada, who were embroiled in a contentious custody dispute. Despite Amanda’s recent marriage to Victor last year, the custody battle over their two children, aged 12 and 9, remained unresolved. Reports indicate that Estrada was significantly behind on child support, owing more than $2,800 to Amanda.

Amanda Frias Rosas

Amanda Frias Rosas, 40, and her husband were shot in cold blood by her former spouse within the aisles of a Las Vegas grocery store on May 12, 2026, casting a somber shadow over what should have been an ordinary day. A GoFundMe page has since been set up in their memory, highlighting the deep impact of this senseless tragedy.

Police say Estrada had multiple weapons at the time of the attack. He is now facing 12 charges, including two counts of murder.

“He was completely calm. No expression. No nothing,” shopper Paula Milton told the Las Vegas Review-Journal of Estrada. “You could tell it was him because everyone else was running and screaming, and he was like no big deal.”

The incident comes just days after police arrested a Las Vegas high school student accused of murdering a homeless woman.

The Review-Journal identified the suspect as Dennis Geiggar, a high school student with a reported history of behavioral issues and anger-related incidents. He was arrested May 5, but the body of the victim, 61-year-old Marceline Biasini, was found April 21.

The victim was found lying on the sidewalk outside a business and “suffering from apparent injuries” just after 8 a.m. on April 21, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) told Fox News Digital.

Nearby surveillance video captured a brief, suspicious encounter in the middle of the night, showing a suspect approaching the victim’s area and leaving about a minute later, the Review-Journal reported, citing police records.

“The precise location of the crime scene was obstructed from surveillance cameras, but video surveillance with audio … captured the suspect approaching Marceline’s location and, seconds later, a scream is heard followed by approximately 61 loud thuds,” the Review-Journal report said.

Geiggar had recently been expelled from a nearby high school for allegedly trying to start a fire on campus. Police said he had “numerous incidents where his anger had resulted in his punching walls and trash cans” and had been participating in anger management classes, according to the outlet.

Revitalize Your Knees: 4 Morning Exercises to Boost Strength Beyond Gym Machines for Those Over 60

Forget about gym machines for knee recovery—these four morning exercises are what your knees need after the age of 60.

Relying solely on gym machines won’t significantly enhance knee strength after 60. These machines often restrict movement, reducing the involvement of the muscles that play a crucial role in stabilizing and supporting the knee joint. Instead, focusing on fortifying the quads, glutes, and calves in unison is essential. Having coached clients in this age group for years, I’ve observed that the greatest improvements occur when we prioritize simple, deliberate movements in the morning, before stiffness sets in and poor movement habits dominate the day.

Exercising in the morning offers a distinct advantage. It boosts blood flow around the joints, activates the muscles that shield the knee, and establishes correct alignment from the get-go. This early engagement positively impacts activities like walking, climbing stairs, and standing as the day progresses.

Control is another critical element. Rapid repetitions won’t do much for knee strength; it’s the slow, intentional movements that make a difference. By maintaining tension on the muscles supporting the knee, the joint encounters less stress while the surrounding tissues become more robust.

Another key factor comes down to control. Fast reps don’t rebuild knee strength: slow, deliberate movement does. When you keep tension on the muscles that support the knee, the joint experiences less stress while the surrounding structures grow stronger.

The following exercises target the muscles that stabilize and protect the knees while reinforcing balance and coordination. Move slowly, stay aligned, and focus on pushing through your legs during every rep.

Sit-to-Stand With Slow Descent

This movement builds foundational strength in the quads and glutes while reinforcing one of the most important daily actions, standing up. I use it constantly because it directly improves how your knees handle real-world movement. Most people rely on momentum when sitting down, but slowing that phase changes everything.

Lowering yourself into the chair over three to five seconds keeps the quads under continuous tension. That controlled descent strengthens the muscles that support the knee without placing excessive strain on the joint. Driving back up reinforces power and stability.

How to Do It

  • Sit on a sturdy chair
  • Stand up without using your hands
  • Lower yourself slowly (3–5 seconds)
  • Keep your chest up
  • Repeat with control.

Supported Step-Back Lunges

Step-back lunges strengthen the legs while reducing forward pressure on the knees. I rely on this movement because it allows better control and alignment compared to forward lunges, especially for those rebuilding strength.

Stepping backward shifts the workload into the glutes and quads while keeping the front knee stable. Moving slowly keeps the muscles engaged and improves coordination. Over time, this builds strength that directly supports knee function.

How to Do It

  • Stand tall and hold a stable surface if needed
  • Step one foot backward
  • Bend both knees slightly
  • Push through the front foot to return
  • Alternate legs.

Standing Calf Raises With Hold

Calf strength plays a major role in knee stability, especially during walking and standing. I’ve seen many clients overlook this area, only to struggle with knee fatigue later. Strengthening the calves helps reduce strain on the joint.

Rising onto your toes and holding at the top forces the calves to stay engaged. Lowering slowly increases time under tension and improves control. Over time, this builds stronger support for the knee during movement.

How to Do It

  • Stand tall with feet hip-width apart
  • Rise onto your toes
  • Hold for 3–5 seconds
  • Lower slowly
  • Repeat steadily.

Standing Knee Extensions With Control

This final movement targets the quadriceps directly, which play a critical role in stabilizing the knee. I include it often because it strengthens the muscle without requiring complex movement patterns.

Extending the leg forward and controlling the return keeps the quad under tension throughout the exercise. That consistent engagement helps rebuild strength while improving control around the joint. Over time, this leads to better stability and reduced strain.

How to Do It

  • Stand tall while holding a support
  • Extend one leg forward slightly
  • Tighten the thigh muscle
  • Lower slowly
  • Alternate legs.

Empowering Partnership: Navigating Home Decisions When Spouses and In-Laws Take the Lead

0

DEAR ABBY: A few years back, my husband and I decided to purchase a home jointly with his sister. We split the expenses and responsibilities, and overall, this arrangement has allowed us to live in a much nicer home than we could have afforded individually.

However, there are times when my husband and his sister have discussions and make decisions about the house without consulting me. I have voiced my displeasure loudly each time I discover this has happened, yet I don’t always find out until later. While they usually apologize, their behavior remains unchanged.

Recently, a severe storm caused significant damage to our home, involving insurance claims and contractor decisions. Once again, I learned about choices being made without my input, which I find extremely disrespectful. I’m seriously considering moving out. I would appreciate your advice. — DISCOUNTED IN FLORIDA

DEAR DISCOUNTED: It’s crucial to communicate to your husband and sister-in-law that you are an equal stakeholder in this living arrangement. It’s unclear why they undervalue your input, but addressing this might require a mediator or marriage counselor if they are open to it. Should your concerns continue to be ignored, consulting a lawyer to understand your legal rights might be necessary.

DEAR ABBY: A month ago, my husband and I experienced the heartbreaking loss of our cherished and beloved little dog. Over the years, we have had other pets, but as we have grown older, our little companion became like a child to us, always by our side.

We are having a terrible time handling this. For example, we went into the grocery store yesterday, and when we got to the pet food aisle, we both started crying. We cry every night at bedtime as we say goodnight to him in heaven. If we drive by a park where we walked him, we fall apart again. How can we cope? If we talk to friends or neighbors, we start crying again. Please help. — PET PARENT IN MICHIGAN

DEAR PET PARENT: Please accept my sympathy. The passing of a beloved furry family member is never easy. Because your loss is fresh, it’s no wonder that you and your husband are grieving. Contact your veterinarian, explain your emotional state and ask for a referral to a grief support group. (Yes, they do exist.) With time, your overwhelming emotions will ease, and you will remember “the little guy” and be able to smile again.

DEAR ABBY: Because the cost of cards and postage is so high, I have started sending fancy e-cards for many occasions (except Christmas). I spend as much time selecting the right e-card as I would in a store selecting a paper card. I do send paper cards to friends and family who have expressed a preference. Are e-cards less acceptable than paper cards? — SENDER OF GREETINGS IN OREGON

DEAR SENDER: E-cards have gained in popularity for the reasons you mentioned. I do not consider them less appropriate (or welcome) than paper cards. It’s the thought that counts. Readers, would you like to weigh in on this? I am interested in your opinion.

Chatham’s Top Fugitive Apprehended, Announces Official in Live Social Media Update

CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. — In a significant development on Wednesday evening, the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office successfully apprehended the area’s “most wanted fugitive,” as shared via a live update on social media.

Authorities identified the suspect as Meshawn Shamar Richardson, who had been on the run due to a series of burglary charges. His activities also drew the attention of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), which sought him for related federal offenses. In addition to federal interest, local law enforcement had issued felony warrants for his arrest.

Chatham County Sheriff Richard Coleman noted that Richardson had previously managed to slip through the grasp of authorities back in April. During a Facebook live session on Wednesday, an official from the sheriff’s office displayed Richardson seated in the back of a law enforcement vehicle.

His capture was facilitated by the collaborative efforts of the U.S. Marshals Service, as revealed in the online video.

The pursuit of Richardson became a focal point for the community after Sheriff Coleman made a social media appearance, showcasing a disguise reportedly used by Richardson to avoid capture. The outfit featured a wig, sunglasses, and a hat, drawing considerable public interest.

During Wednesday’s live, someone off camera asked if he had been captured with his wig on, to which another person responded that he hadn’t been.

“Man, y’all known I ain’t wearing no wig,” Richardson said. “Why are y’all doing me like that?”

Richardson smiled and spoke to officials before being taken into the jail to be processed. He told the sheriff it was nice meeting him and said that Coleman could do his dance tomorrow while laughing.

The sheriff took on a serious tone at the end of the live, reminding residents that he is working hard to keep them safe.

“It’s a different day in Chatham County today,” Coleman said. “Crime cannot have a residency in this county, we will not tolerate it. Chatham County will be safe…Crime, I’m your worst nightmare. I am a sheriff that gives a d***. I care.”
