Trump’s Political Power Play: Indiana Incumbents Ousted in Dramatic Turn of Events

0

President Donald Trump’s campaign to seek retribution has kicked off with a significant impact.

During Tuesday night’s primaries, at least five Republican state senators lost their seats after opposing a Trump-endorsed redistricting plan aimed at reshaping the state’s congressional boundaries.

This setback for a group of state lawmakers, who had aligned with Democrats to block the President’s preferred map, serves as a stark warning for those within the MAGA movement in one of the nation’s most conservative states.

Real estate agent Blake Fiechter defeated long-time Senator Travis Holdman, the Majority Caucus Chair in the chamber and the third-ranking Republican.

In other races, Trump-backed candidates Michelle Davis and insurance broker Trevor De Vries unseated Senators Greg Walker and Dan Dernulc, respectively. Additionally, Trump-endorsed candidates Brian Schmutzler and Tracey Powell prevailed over incumbent Senators Linda Rogers and Travis Holdman.

Trump’s political operation went after seven Indiana Republican senators in total.

‘It’s a wipeout so far in Indiana,’ noted Zachary Donnini, the head of data science at VoteHub. ‘Trump-backed Republicans are steamrolling the anti-redistricting faction.’

The showdown was months in the making, becoming a proxy war over redistricting that turned Indiana’s Senate body into a national flashpoint.

In December, the Indiana Senate rejected the proposed reformed map in a 31–19 vote, with 21 Republicans joining all 10 Democrats to block it, effectively killing the red state redistricting push to add two seats to the Republican total.

Chloe Anagnos Pierce, President of the Indiana Federation of Republican Women, told the Daily Mail on Tuesday that ‘incumbents who didn’t vote in favor of redistricting defied the wishes of their constituents.’

‘Ultimately, the Republican base voted for redistricting by voting these folks out. Now, it’s up to our base to turn out in November to keep these seats red,’ she added.

Indiana State Senator Greg Goode, a Republican representing the 38th district, held off a Trump-backed challenger, Brenda Wilson to keep his seat.

Rodric Bray, Indiana’s Senate president pro tempore, would have been an unthinkable target for any President in a previous era.

His family representing Indiana in a near-unbroken stretch dating back to 1951, Bray is a quiet small-town lawyer and former Sunday school teacher who is well respected among Indiana politicians.

But because he balked at supporting Trump’s redistricting push, he got in Trump’s crosshairs.

In January, Trump lambasted him as a ‘total RINO’ and vowed to ‘work tirelessly’ to remove him.  But since Bray isn’t up for reelection until 2028, the White House strategy became to pick off Bray’s Senate allies and wrest his leadership position away from him.

Millions of dollars flooded races in which tens of thousands are usually devoted. Bray put his head down and refused to fight Trump rhetorically.

Indiana State Senator Michael Bohacek, another Republican from the Hoosier State who is not running this year and thus was not on the ballot, also pledged to vote against a draft congressional map that would have seen two Democratic seats eliminated because of the president’s inflammatory rhetoric.

The proposed map came as part of a redistricting effort aimed at keeping a GOP majority in Washington.

As midterm elections typically result in the president’s political party losing seats, Trump has pressured Republican-led states to assist him in keeping power after next November’s elections, and not spend his last two years in office as a lame duck, or worse, going through another impeachment trial.

Bohacek issued a statement bashing the president not for political reasons, but for one that was more personal.

The Indiana state senator rebuked Trump’s rhetoric after the president called Minnesota Governor Tim Walz—Kamala Harris’ 2024 running mate—a slur for people with intellectual disabilities while criticizing his handling of immigration from Somalia and other countries.

Walz is also a father to his son Gus who has a non-verbal learning disorder, as well as anxiety, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

‘This is not the first time our president has used these insulting and derogatory references and his choices of words have consequences. I will be voting NO on redistricting, perhaps he can use the next 10 months to convince voters that his policies and behavior deserve a congressional majority,’ Bohacek wrote in a Facebook post in which he also explained that he is a father to a daughter with Down syndrome.

While running for president in 2016, Trump was famously accused of mocking a disabled New York Times journalist.

Trump’s retribution run is only getting started. Later this month, he and his political operation hope to defeat Senator Bill Cassidy in Louisiana and Rep. Thomas Massie in Kentucky.

Cassidy was one of seven GOP senators who voted to convict Trump in his 2021 impeachment trial following the Jan. 6 riot. Massie, a longtime irritant of Trump, has consistently torn into his administration over its reluctance to release the Jeffrey Epstein files.

North Augusta’s Crucial Dialogue: Unveiling the Future of Plutonium Pit Production at SRS

AUGUSTA, Ga. () – On Tuesday, North Augusta leaders convened to discuss the proposed revitalization of plutonium pit production at the Savannah River Site.

The primary focus of the gathering was a preliminary environmental impact report that outlines the potential consequences of the project.

Should the proposal advance, the SRS pit facility is set to become the costliest construction project in U.S. history, with the Department of Energy projecting expenses to soar to approximately $30 billion.

Opponents argue that the establishment of this facility could ignite a renewed nuclear arms race and escalate environmental issues, particularly regarding the storage of hazardous waste.

Here are some insights from attendees at the meeting held on May 3, 2026:

“The reason we’re here tonight is several environmental and disarmament groups brought a federal lawsuit to force the government to prepare this programmatic environmental impact study, because they had shirked their responsibility in doing that,” said Tom Clements, director of SRS Watch. “They haven’t analyzed the impacts, including where the transuranic, the plutonium waste would go. So they could produce up to 125 of these plutonium cores a year. What for? It’s for new nuclear weapons. We don’t need all these new nuclear weapons. We don’t need any new nuclear weapons. Plus the environmental risk and the risk of plutonium fire and accident and stuff like that. So it’ll be interesting to hear what people say.”

“I want to express our support for the plutonium pit production mission here at SRS,” said Robbie Bennett, SRS Community Reuse Organization representative. “Let me tell you a little bit why we’re 75 years. Savannah River site has been a cornerstone of this region, not just as a major employer, but as a trusted partner and safety service and progress. There is a silent pride in knowing the role our area plays in national security.”

“We all know the plutonium trigger nuclear bombs have appalling environmental impacts by design,” said Glenn Carroll, a coordinator at Nuclear South Watch. “Nuclear weapons literally threaten the existence of our own planet. The only plan that we know for certain, even has life, and which contains every single thing that we know and every single thing that we don’t know. Therefore, the PEIS must analyze using nuclear weapons that contain the plutonium pits that would be produced. The PEIS must also conclude that no action alternative to quit the pursuit of the pits and dedicate significant, sufficient resources to the mission to clean up and embark on the restoration.”

The draft Environmental Impact Statement is open for public comment.

The target start date for the project is 2035.

Near-Miss at JFK: Two Planes Narrowly Avoid Collision in Latest Air Traffic Scare

0

Meanwhile, there was a near-miss at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City on Monday. Flight tracking data indicates that two planes came alarmingly close, within approximately 500 feet vertically of each other, during their approach.

This incident occurred just a day after another aircraft hit a light pole and damaged a bakery truck while landing in New Jersey, highlighting a recent trend of aviation close calls.

Audio from JFK’s air traffic control revealed that a controller warned the pilot of a Delta flight, operated by Endeavor Air, about a smaller aircraft flying less than 500 feet above them, as reported by ABC7.

According to Flightradar24 data cited by ABC7, the two planes had a vertical separation of about 475 feet when their paths crossed. The Endeavor aircraft was at an altitude of roughly 2,100 feet, while the Cirrus plane was at approximately 2,575 feet.

The Federal Aviation Administration said Endeavor Air Flight 5289 was on final approach to Runway 22L around 5:15 p.m. Monday when a Cirrus SR22 crossed overhead while preparing to land on Runway 22R.

“Air traffic control provided traffic advisories to both pilots, and each reported the other in sight,” the FAA said. “The required separation was maintained.”

The Endeavor pilot told controllers the flight crew received a traffic advisory, followed by a resolution advisory from the aircraft’s collision avoidance system, ABC7 reported.

Audio captured the exchange between controllers and the flight crew.

“Endeavor 5289 yeah I’m not talking to him. He’s 500 feet above you now left to right half a mile in front of you,” a controller said, according to the report.

“And tower Endeavor 5289 he just flew about 500 feet right over so looks like he’s taking a left turn now,” the pilot responded.

Monday’s incident is the latest in a series of close calls that have drawn increased scrutiny from federal regulators and lawmakers.

On Sunday, a United Airlines flight traveling from Venice, Italy, to Newark Liberty International Airport struck a light pole and damaged a bakery truck during its descent around 2 p.m. The 221 passengers and 10 crew members aboard were not injured, and the plane landed safely.

JFK also experienced a close call last month when two passenger jets came too close on approach, triggering onboard collision warnings and a federal investigation.

In that incident, the FAA said Republic Airways Flight 4464 performed a go-around after missing its approach path and flying too close to Air Canada Express Flight 8554, which had been cleared to land on a parallel runway.

Fox News Digital has reached out to the FAA, Delta and Cirrus for comment.

Unity’s Kimball Celebrates Achieving Remarkable 400-Win Milestone

Unity High School’s baseball team in Tolono, Illinois, is off to an impressive start with a 19-3 record, following the school’s strong performances in both boys basketball and football, which saw them make significant state tournament runs.

The Rockets are particularly motivated this season as they seek to avenge last year’s narrow defeat to Monticello in the sectional championship game.

A highlight of the season has been head coach Tom Kimball reaching a career milestone of over 400 victories, a testament to his leadership and the team’s dedication.

Coach Kimball attributes the program’s continued success to the unwavering support of the community, the commitment of school administrators, and the skill of his players.

While triumphs on the field were once his primary focus, Kimball now emphasizes broader goals beyond just winning.

“As I’ve grown older and grown into this little bit, I realize that winning is important and we all love to win, but in reality, the relationships that you build and if you can help kids better themselves and be a better part in society, at the end of the day, that’s kind of what coaching is about,” Kimball said.

“Seeing him in school, it just builds an even better relationship with him,” senior Coleton Langendorf said. “He’s always joking with us when he sees us, and we’re just always having a good time with him.”

Bondi Inmate Faces 19 New Charges: Unraveling the Latest Custody Scandal

0

In brief

  • The man accused of committing the 2025 Bondi shooting was charged with 59 offences at the time of his arrest.
  • Naveed Akram has now been handed 19 new charges while in custody at Goulburn’s supermax prison.

A man, implicated in orchestrating the nation’s most devastating terror attack, is expected to face a series of new charges.

Naveed Akram is accused of a horrific act: opening fire on a crowd gathered to celebrate Hanukkah at Bondi Beach, alongside his father, 50-year-old Sajid Akram, on December 14.

This brutal attack claimed the lives of 15 individuals, including a 10-year-old girl, and left dozens more injured.

In the immediate aftermath, the elder Akram was fatally shot by police officers, while Naveed Akram was arrested and charged with 59 offences. He is currently being held at Goulburn’s supermax prison.

The charges already filed against him encompass the commission of a terrorist act, 15 counts of murder, and 40 charges of attempted murder, reflecting his alleged involvement in this tragic event.

Court records show the 24-year-old is expected to be hit with a further 19 charges, including 10 counts of shooting with intent to murder and six counts of discharging a firearm with intent to resist arrest.

The additional charges were added to the court file in April, before a mention of the matter in Sydney’s Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday.

But Akram’s lawyer Leonie Gittani said outside court that the defence team haven’t received new court attendance notices.

“Once these charges – if they’re to be filed – once they’re filed, we’ll deal with them at that point,” she said.

Charges are often added, dropped, or restructured during the early stages of court matters before pleas are entered.

Akram has not yet been required to enter pleas to any of the charges against him.

He was expected to dial into the court via audiovisual link for a hearing about extending a prohibition on publishing the names and identities of survivors of the attack.

More victims are seeking to be covered by a court suppression order made in December which gives those who survived the massacre the ability to choose if or when they speak to the media about the tragedy.

Akram did not appear on screen as the hearing was adjourned until June.

The father-and-son attack was Australia’s deadliest mass shooting since the Port Arthur massacre in 1996.

California Judge Accused of Sidestepping DA in Controversial Deal for Professor in Jewish Man’s Death Case

New details have emerged regarding Loay Alnaji’s unexpected guilty plea on Tuesday morning, shedding some light on the circumstances surrounding the case and possible sentencing. However, these revelations also raise further questions that we are actively investigating.

Readers may remember Alnaji as the pro-Hamas activist and community college professor involved in the tragic incident that resulted in the death of Paul Kessler, a Jewish man, during opposing protests on November 5, 2023. Alnaji reportedly traversed two eight-lane streets to confront Kessler, who was displaying an Israeli flag at the corner of Thousand Oaks Boulevard and Westlake Boulevard in Ventura County, California. During the altercation, Alnaji struck Kessler’s head with a bullhorn, causing Kessler to fall backward and hit his head on the concrete. The impact led to a fracture in Kessler’s skull, and he succumbed to his injuries approximately seven hours later.

UF Campus Incident: Man Receives Jail Time and Probation for Stolen Firearm Possession

Staff Report

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Kenyata Malique McCoy, 21, has received a sentence of one year in the Alachua County Jail and two years of probation after pleading nolo contendere to possessing a firearm as an adjudicated delinquent. Initially, he faced charges of having a firearm on school grounds and grand theft of a firearm.

Authorities apprehended McCoy on November 8, 2025, after a stolen gun was discovered in a men’s restroom on the west side of the Broward Dining Facility at the University of Florida. The firearm, taken from an unattended vehicle in Gainesville back in June 2020, linked back to McCoy, who had been arrested as a juvenile in July 2020 for possessing a stolen vehicle and participating in a series of car break-ins.

During his arrest in November, McCoy was already part of a pre-trial diversion program stemming from an April 2025 incident involving loitering and resisting an officer without violence. The November arrest led to the revocation of this agreement, and by January 2026, McCoy had entered a plea of nolo contendere to those charges. Judge Susan Miller-Jones decided against a formal guilty verdict, imposing a $326 fine instead, which McCoy has begun to pay off.

On April 28, McCoy agreed to a plea of nolo contendere for possessing a firearm as an adjudicated delinquent, with the plea document highlighting a potential maximum sentence of 15 years for this offense. However, as part of the plea deal, the grand theft charge was dropped. Judge James Colaw withheld a formal guilty ruling and sentenced McCoy to 364 days in jail, followed by probation for two years.

Kyle’s Fiery Response to Amanda’s Questions About His DJ Career Shocks Fans

This episode of Summer House offers a mix of activities: from volunteering efforts to sunny beach outings, and lively dinner gatherings. Amanda has returned for the final weekend of summer, yet her presence seems to disrupt the harmony. She’s uneasy about the budding friendship between West and Ciara, insisting she’d back Ciara if tensions arise again. Meanwhile, when Lindsay starts questioning Amanda and Kyle’s marriage, emotions run high. Kyle, feeling frustrated, accuses Amanda of not contributing enough, leading to a heated argument. In a fit of anger, Kyle storms off, leaving us to ponder whether they should heed Ciara’s advice on taking a break.

Summer House Recap: Kyle Lashes Out and Tells Amanda “F--k You” After He’s Questioned About His DJ Career as Amanda Claims She’d "Die For Ciara" and Cut West Off If He Hurt Ciara Again, Plus Bailey and Carl Make Out

Jesse has embarked on a rewarding journey this summer by volunteering at Sunrise Day Camp, a haven for children battling cancer and their siblings. As a cancer survivor himself, Jesse feels a profound connection to the mission.

During this visit, he invites some friends to join him, and it’s heartwarming to witness them engaging with the kids, bringing joy and laughter. Ciara is particularly pleased to be collaborating with West, feeling liberated from the previous tension he caused her.

Jesse opens up about feeling uncertain at the start of summer, hoping to find the right partner (the camera notably shifts to Ciara, adding an awkward touch). He confesses to feeling lonely but acknowledges the importance of self-improvement rather than seeking fulfillment through a relationship.

Jesse shares that he felt a little weird coming into the summer looking for the right person (cue camera panning to Ciara-how awkward), and he admits that he is lonely.  Instead of using a relationship to fill his void, he realizes that he needs to work on himself more.

Bailey is holding her It Girl event in celebration of her show turning two years old. It is now her full-time job and has changed her life completely.  Levi is her party planner and the girlies trickle in. Amanda chats with Lindsay and Lindsay explains that she was rattled at Carl‘s Soft Bar opening because she was “bombarded” by Carl’s mom, Sharon. I thought Sharon was nothing but nice, but I digress.

The last time she saw Sharon was at her bridal shower and so it brought up a lot of hurt that she caused Lindsay.  After all, Sharon did go on national television and say Carl should break up with Lindsay. It’s weird because Carl has a hard time confronting things head on and has yet to address any of that, but Lindsay refuses to continue being the victim.

Ciara, and her Lorax costume, are the first to arrive the Hamptons house.  She has plotted a fun little water gun game as the crew arrives and she ambushes Mia and Lindsay first.  Lindsay is a helluva recruit, considering she was in ROTC, so KJ and Dara don’t stand a chance the second they walk through the door. As each carload arrives, more and more of the group join with super soakers for some good, clean fun…until Amanda gets there.

She is wearing suede (in summer? The horror!)  so she gets spared and complains about everything being wet, but at least Kyle and Ben laugh about getting soaked. It’s a fantastic start to the last weekend of the summer.

Carl announces that today is National Beach Day AND it’s also the two year anniversary of Carl and Lindsay’s break up, so it’s really a celebration!  Lindsay adds to the excitement by telling the group she is hosting a dinner later that night.

As they get ready for the beach, the boys of summer bond. KJ admits he has never been one of the boys, so this house really meant a lot to him and he is sad to see the summer end.

They pile into the cars and are beachbound.  During the ride, Ciara explains that she did meet up with Amanda in the city.  Ciara goes on to say to those in the car that Amanda feels anxious and uptight when Kyle is around.  She admits that she talked to Amanda about the potential of separating for a bit, but Lindsay is unsure that “getting space” is the right answer.  It seems like a hail Mary to save their marriage and Lindsay immediately goes into momma bear mode, ready to help how she can.

Carl’s happy to celebrate two years of freedom from Lindsay while West admits that everyone thinks it’s weird he’s cool with Ciara now.  Ben shares that everything is good with “the missus” and explains that he has yet to say I love you to Sabrina because he does not want to rush into anything, but going to Australia for Christmas seems totally ok.

Amanda explains to Mia that her weekend alone was “fabulous.” She asks Mia about West and Ciara’s double-date (that turned into others joining for drinks) and shares that she “felt so unwanted” because no one extended the invitation to her.

Maybe it’s a way of sh*tting on West and Ciara making up, or maybe at one point Amanda truly did feel this way, but she claims that it might be a little too soon for West and Ciara to have an intimate date after JUST becoming friends again.

Amanda explains that West is the issue and he needs to be all the way in with Ciara.  She is “skeptical” of West and Amanda claims that “Ciara is a very special and incredible person.” “Until a man is capable of” realizing that about Ciara, Amanda “doesn’t trust anyone with her [Ciara’s] heart.”

Regarding Ciara, Amanda goes on to say she would “die for that girl” and states, “The way I would cut West off in one f*cking second if she [Ciara] looked at me.” Well, this is scary.

As this conversation is happening, Kyle chats with Ciara about couple’s therapy.  He worries that they BOTH may not want to put in the effort to fix their marriage and Ciara admits that she talked to Amanda about the idea of a trial separation.

Kyle seems absolutely shocked when he hears this and becomes even more surprised when he realizes that Ciara already talked to Amanda about this topic. In fact, Amanda would be okay with a separation, but feels like Kyle would be against it. Kyle thanks Ciara for easing him into this and admits that he does not even know what Amanda actually wants.

Once back at the house, Lindsay welcomes the private chef and heads to get ready. Bailey wonders what is going on with the “light flirting” she is experiencing with Carl, but if Carl remembers what Bailey was wearing at the Soft Bar opening, there’s gotta be something going on, right?!

When they all sit down at the table to dine, Lindsay reminds the group that this exact date last year, she hosted a Freedom Dinner, but tonight’s dinner is called the Lost Supper.  They begin playing a little game of lost and found and Lindsay kicks it off.  Lindsay lost all timelines, but she found her dream girl. Bailey lost a dark relationship and found some joy/flirting.  Ciara, the ultimate wing=woman, sets them up by asking if Carl and Bailey should make out, and they don’t need much coaxing.  They begin sucking face right there at the table!

West claims he lost his voice last summer and found his ability to speak up and find a friendship that was lost for a long time.  Ciara blushes as he tells her that it means the world to be back in her good graces.

KJ talks about the loss of his brother when he was a kid, but how he found a good group of boys to fill that void of brotherly love.  Ciara lost a weight off of her shoulders of having to “dislike the person” she “loves the most” (you mean West?!!) and found the bars after 5 years.

According to Lindsay, Kyle lost his wedding right, but he found his DJ career. Ooph.  Going on the defense, Kyle shares that he is about to sign with a manager who represents big acts and so he is preparing to treat his DJing like a career.  He is going to kick off this new chapter in Vegas.

Lindsay wonders if Kyle had a conversation with Amanda, his wife, about what this means for their marriage before considering this next step, but it seems like this is the only conversation they’ve had about it.  Bravo to Lindsay for stirring the pot, but wtf happened to Amanda’s voice? Why is SHE not chiming in to fight her own fight?

Everyone awkwardly waits as Kyle talks about taking on yet another business venture. DJing brings him joy and pays the bills, so there’s that. Lindsay tries to remind Kyle that he took on this career without talking to his wife, but Kyle wonders why his DJing is the butt of everyone’s joke this summer.

According to Lindsay, Amanda’s personal lawyer, Amanda wants to be a part of a team and start a family, but Kyle is not showing those traits.  Kyle, ready to explode, points out that Amanda is not ready for a kid. Everyone can blast him all he wants, but he refuses to be blamed.  He shares that for 7 years of his life, he worked his a*s off with no joy. Kyle feels under attack and is sick of everyone ganging up on him this summer.

Kyle once again tells Amanda “f*ck you” and West jumps to her defense. (It’s so cute to see West defend his girlfriend like that!).  Weat even hops up and moves his chair next to Amanda.  Kyle erupts and states that their marriage is NOT a partnership. In fact, Amanda is not pulling any weight in the relationship. He yells, “F*ck everyone” because he is sick of all the stuff he deals with when it comes to Amanda.  He storms off, throwing sh*t, and starts fighting with Carl.  THIS, this is the fight we’ve seen in those trailers and all I have to say is OMG. To be continued…

Florida Preteen Allegedly Threatens Teacher with School Violence

0

A 12-year-old girl from Florida is confronting serious charges after allegedly using a classmate’s account to send a menacing threat to her elementary school, according to authorities.

The Volusia Sheriff’s Office reports that the girl faces felony charges for making written or electronic threats to kill and for the unlawful use of a two-way communication device.

This past weekend, detectives were alerted to a disturbing written threat that had been sent to a teacher at Louise S. McInnis Elementary School.

The message not only targeted the teacher but also included a threat to “shoot up” the school on the final day of classes, as detailed by the sheriff’s office.

Although the threatening message was dispatched from an account belonging to a 12-year-old boy, detectives discovered that it was actually sent by his former girlfriend, who had access to his login credentials, according to officials.

The sheriff’s office posted a video of the arrest on Facebook, garnering more than one million views.

In the video, deputies could be seen leading the handcuffed, green-haired tween with a septum piercing from a patrol car to the jail.

She was then shackled and escorted into a jail cell, where she was left sitting on a bench.

The elementary school did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
